Lowe's is currently trying to get more people to use their self-checkout and consequently never has more than one actual cashier line open. Unfortunately the self-checkout tends to have a lot of problems so it is faster to go stand in the long line for the single real cashier. Lowe's recently reduced the number of inventory items - for example you can't get nice looking 3000k LED T8 bulbs there anymore (but there are a plethora of terrible harsh blue 6000K and 6500K ones).

Way better than Home Depot. Parts are in stock, employees are easy to find, and it's clean.

Rush hour (just after work) is pretty crazy here, but not too bad outside of peak hours. Had an awesome experience getting stain tinted. Lee was super nice and helpful, very experienced, and she showed me some of the codes on the stain computer to ensure I was getting the same tint. Highly impressed with her customer service and knowledge.

They have a great garden area, modern accessories for your home, good selection of flooring and helpful people if you have a question

Don't think I'll be going back here again. They now only have self check, which was a disaster for the misc nuts and bolts I was buying. The helper person had to come clear the machine 6 or 7 times. Each time I had to wait for her to finish with the other people she was helping. I'll just be going to Ace in the future.

Used to be our go-to place for almost anything DIY and home improvements. It changed due to the inefficiency of its management. The regular staff are good and helpful, but there is a lot more to be desired with its management. They would pretend to resolve your returns and disputes just to send you off, but beware of refunds and follow ups. Also, their home service and installation is one of the worst... there's hardly anyone present at the counter, and if you do get an appointment, they never show up. I went back to Home Depot and got a lot more done.

I’m a regular Lowe’s customer. I call stores before assuming that a product or service is available. Called Customer Service desk before driving half hour to Vallejo to ensure that blind cutting machine was working. Two other stores had confirmed that their machines were broken, same day. I asked CSR to confirm due to long drive. She said it was working. Upon arrival, learned that machine has been down for a couple of days. An hour of time and gas wasted on Father’s Day. Jen, the manager, said she couldn’t do anything about it. I requested that CSR’s be trained before responding to customers about something they don’t know. This is a result of poor training, leadership and accountability to customers.
