Not a good value for my money. I brought the car in because the engine would shut off after turning the car on. They couldn't fix the problem, but they upsold me on $1400 in suspension work. I had to junk the car eventually because of the engine shutting off. The original problem was never fix so I spent money for nothing. It took me about a year to pay off my credit card. I would never trust this shop again.

New Update:
I recently had the pleasure of taking my car to Gary's auto shop, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. After a frustrating month dealing with another local shop that left me feeling financially drained and disappointed, Gary was a breath of fresh air.
From the moment I walked in, his genuine and wonderful personality shone through. He took the time to listen to my concerns and fully understood the situation I was in. Unlike my previous experience, where I felt like just another number, Gary made me feel valued as a customer.
Despite being busy with other clients, he managed to address 99% of the issues with my vehicle in just a few weeks. His efficiency and commitment to quality work are truly commendable. It was clear that he prioritizes customer satisfaction above all else.
Hats off to Gary for his outstanding customer relationships and the care he puts into his work. If you're looking for an auto shop that combines professionalism with a personal touch, look no further. I highly recommend Gary's auto shop—he's definitely earned my trust and future business!
Previous review:
I took my buddy’s car to Gary’s shop several weeks ago, and he did an outstanding job clearing the unnecessary codes that were displayed on my buddy’s 2012 Audi A6. He's a genuine guy with a great personality. All the staff at his shop are great. ?

ALWAYS have had an amazing experience at this shop with both Gary the owner and a tech Jason. Never any unexpected squirreliness or games, just straight up work done as promised, and they are super fast at turnaround. Most times, fairly major lust of things take shops weeks. They turn out in a day or two. They are imo just on point by knowing their craft and executing it flawlessly. And to Gary, what a stand up gentleman he was one time- ill never forget it. I was unintentionally "forgotten" about by my sig other fir needing picked up after dropping off car for service. After attempts to reach my ride going unanswered, Gary offered to drive me home- to Bay Point, in height of eve traffic before retiring home himself after a long day. He will forever be a bit above any car repair shop around for that kindness and it makes me want to consider the brand more for future purposes strictly because I know I can count on that much more longevity as a whole when the repair shop cares as much about the cars as I do! Be seeing you guys soon, my bug tried to hitch a ride on vacation with my neighbors trailer and got some booboos needing fixing lol...

Don't get service to this shop. They are dishonest. I brought my car to them and they charged me service that they didn't do and parts that they didn't replaced

Stellar service at LeVere Auto: My treasured roadster purrs again! If you're looking for a mechanic who truly cares about cars and their owners, look no further than LeVere Auto! Gary and his crew went above and beyond to ensure my beloved early MK1 Audi TT roadster runs like a dream. I initially brought it in for a minor electrical issue that mysteriously resolved itself. However, that's not where the story ends. Gary saw the bigger picture, diagnosing a potential fuel pump problem I was completely unaware of. He explained the issue clearly, obtained my permission before proceeding, and then worked his magic. Now, my roadster runs smoother and stronger than ever! Their dedication to customer satisfaction doesn't stop there. I had been struggling to find someone to fix the wind deflector, a vital component for enjoying top-down drives. Countless shops refused or lacked the expertise. But Gary wasn't fazed. He even watched a video I showed him and then tackled the challenge head-on! Thanks to his ingenuity and skill, the wind deflector is back in action, ready for California's sunny highways. IMO LeVere Auto isn't just about fixing cars; it's about building trust and exceeding expectations. I can't recommend them highly enough, especially for passionate car owners like myself. Thanks to Gary and Alisha, my summer drives along the King's Highway are going to be epic!

LaVere's VW & Audi only has been a pleasure to do business with. They have worked on our Beetle convertible two times and they were did a great job fixing a throttle assembly and a couple other repairs. I won't hesitate to recommend them to others. They are courteous and honest.

That bad service ever I had. if you need change oil, rotate tires or randomly replace the part that "looks like broken" -- use this service.I came here with my Golf TDI about the DPF issue. they replaced EGR valve and charged me $1300. the issue came back in a week. I came there 2nd time, and they replaced the rubber pipe for $700. coming back to home, my car stopped and the engine did not start. AAA bring the car back tho them. in 2 weeks they was "out of ideas", and replaced the O2 sensor and fuel filter for $500 -- and by car is not starting. So I can't set negative value, but $2500 and 3 weeks for a completely broken car is more than enough.Worst service ever I had. I'd like to set a negative value, but I can't.

They had our '72 beetle for over a month "working" on it. That should have been red flag number 1. Picked up to realize there were still issues with it. The mechanic heard the sound but didn't think it was anything. Yeah, it was something. Red flag number 2. Did some interior restoration on the vehicle, so it mostly sat, but we regularly turned it on, etc. Recently took it in for a tune up with all the interior work done, only to learn there is a ton of work that is needed on it still. And in fact looks like there was never any work done on the car. Spent thousands of dollars for them to hold onto it for over a month and turns out they didn't do anything to it.

My experience was like many others here. I drove my car in and it had to leave on a trailer. I should have listened to previous reviews. I would never let these guys touch any of my VW's. Even if it was minor basic engine work. After they broke my car, I could see they were ready to get loud and argue with me. At that point I could tell they did were good mechanics and they would yell at me to prove a point. So take this as a warning people as my experience is not unique.

Where the heck has this place been for the last 11 years? I've struggled to find places to have my 2003 Eurovan Camper fixed for 11 years...driving as far as Sacramento! Gary got me in the same day to replace an inaccessible (to me anyway) brake light which is obscured by the interior cabinetry. He is kind, honorable, and fair! I'd give 10 's if I could. I'll definitely be back!

Brought my 59vw in for a master cylinder, It took 1 month for an apt. and then 1.5months for them to even look at my car. No biggie. After a month and a half, I get a call that the car won't start. Its always started no problem. I was told it needed a new starting relay. I requested for them to look at it again it always starts. They replaced the relay anyways and charged me. "Not Cheap" next I get a call now the front breaks are locked up and I need new wheel cylinders and lines. crazy that all this random stuff is happening at their shop. So I went in for a 5-$600 Bill and left with a $1700 Bill . I get to the shop and get in the car notice my really nice front seat has a giant tear. The Owner says to me the seat are old it must have ripped while were were getting in and out and that it's not their problem. Great I'm out more $$$$ to get my seat repaired. It definitely looks like someone got out of the car with a tool in their pocket. I would never recommend anyone to this shop. Response to Gary's comment- I have been getting in and out of this car for years with zero tears or holes in the seats. Just seems like if a car comes in with zero holes or tears you would get it back in the same condition, I get that things happen with an old car and I was going to just take it in stride but after getting my car back with the seat ripped its really put a bad taste in my mouth.
