On Friday, May 2, around 1 p.m., I went to enter your Park n' Shop store with a long list of items to cook a meal for friends on my 65th, the following Monday. I use a backpack to carry items that I've purchased, medications that I need to have with me at all times, plastic produce bags that I reuse, and a cloth shopping bag. I take public transportation and walk. A "security " man told me that I couldn't enter the store with my backpack. I noticed quite a few women with purses, some large. I pointed it out to him and was told. "Purse us for ladies." What? That's not right. I saw where the bags were kept, on a shelf unit, unlocked, by an open front door. That's not secure. In hindsight, I should have discussed this with the manager in charge. Instead, I shopped at 99 Ranch, Grocery Outlet, and Safeway. It took me three times as long. I spent over $100 in produce and other food items. Not only did you lose the sale, but you've lost a customer who loves your store. I understand the point of disallowing bags, but be. consistent. Any bag is large enough to use for theft. I used to work for a national retailer. It's surprising. I keep mine on my back so it doesn't get nicked. Until you retool your bag storage area with locked, caged, or behind a counter and issue ID tickets, you're going to be stolen from. Additionally, I won't shop there and advise other chefs, home cooks, and friends to also not spend their money with your stores. walked in with a 99cent store bag and got nearly tackled by the security guard for walking in with it (I had headphones on so I was just casually walking)…. Very inappropriate to aggressively push and stop me just for carrying a bag…..Muerto de hambres to be having their security act like this

Don’t bother coming here if you’re white. The security guard will demand to know what you’re doing in Spanish, refuse to speak english, and kick you out of the store. 99 Ranch Market is much friendlier.

As a supermarket it is very good and has everything you might need. Right in the middle of a busy plaza. The restaurant has many food options for a quick bite if you are there. Would drop the restaurant down to 3 stars.

You are looking for everything and at a slightly expensive price. They have everything well organized, very clean, and customer service is good.

I bought $40 worth of tamales. My order was not filled correctly and the tamales hardly had any meat but super thick and oily masa. It used to be so good.
