Worse experience in this store, I always go to petco but I was in Trader Joe's so I went there as soon as I walked in this old lady didn't greet me but looked at me from toes to head she has white hair I didn't get to see her name but she seems very particular.

The store itself is alright, what made me put 1 star was the cashier, she commented on my dogs weight and tried to tell me what I should be feeding him. I told her he's a working line dog that is not fixed and will remain lean, I feed him 2 cups daily plus lots of treats. She further insisted by looking at the bag and saying I should "bulk him up", not even knowing his current weight. Fat dogs may be cuter but they are not healthier by any means, as someone that works at a pet store, she should be more aware of this.

This place is top notch not only because of the products they sell but because of the staff; they are amazing. They know a lot about all their products and if they don't they ask others that know. I've gotten so many helpful tips from them since having my dog for over a year now. This is my go to store. It's always nice to see their smiling faces.

I came into this PFE looking for flea and tick shampoo and they were out of stock on the shelves, one of the associates told me that they are pretty sure they just got a new shipment in and went to the back to get it for me. I had a ton of questions and they were all super helpful there. Such a great experience that I had to leave a review.

I have shopped at PFE since they opened. I think it was in the 70s. I have always had multiple dogs and I am involved with rescue. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. I usually shop in the Danville store which has consistently had great customer service. This review is directed at the oak grove store. I went in there to buy dog food and return a fish oil product that did not agree with my dog. I am also a professional pet business. Seriously, the person who waited on me was named Adrienne. She said unless I had a receipt there was no way she would return this. I have spent thousands of dollars and all she would do is point to a scan code so I could read it. If this is a new policy the company should let the customers know it. They have never required it before. This supposed assistant manager Adrienne needs an attitude adjustment and she needs to have a lesson in customer service. I would suggest shopping at chewey online. Prices better and you do not have to deal with employees who shoujd not be in management.

Ash is now my "go to" regarding any dietary needs for our 18 month Labrador. She is so insightful, polite, and professional. Thanks so much for your advice, so appreciated. This is an employee that needs to be commended!

They always have great items and they are always helpful. I used the self service dog wash and it was very easy, except for my wild dog who didn't want to have anything to do with it.

This review is against a male employee who wear glasses, possibly in supervisory role. He was a complete moron, should not even work in any customer service business at all! I brought my dog to the VIP Petcare clinic inside Pet Food Express for a rabies shot. The VIP Petcare personnel completely screwed up, almost killed my dog. I yelled at the VIP Petcare personnel (hey what would you do when somebody almost killed your dog???). When hearing the noise, this Pet Food Express male employee rushed over and asked me to leave, without even bothering to ask what happened. There was a closed circuit camera facing the VIP Petcare clinic. I asked the male employee to review the footage. He refused. I proceeded to file an official complaint against him at the corporate office.

I don't often write reviews but I feel this really needs to be said. My wife and I had a cat who suddenly stopped eating and we were worried sick. We came to Pet Food Express on Oak Grove to see if anyone knew what we could do before having to take the cat to a vet. One of the staff, Ash, was so incredibly helpful and compassionate, made a lot of suggestions, showed us some different brands and we came home with some new cat food. We tried feeding some to our Emma and she loved it and started to eat again. You are very lucky to have an employee like Ash. What she did for us today meant so much to us. As an aside, we are regular customers at this store and you should be very proud of your staff and manager, Max. They have the perfect blend of being helpful, friendly and yet not hovering or pushy. I have said several times to staff there that this store could teach the rest of the businesses around about customer service. Bob and Pam H.

Can't say enough good things about the staff and customer service at this location. The selfgrooming station is easy to use and we've only had positive experiences so far! Literally every staff member I've met there has been so sweet and helpful (wish I remembered everyone's name but thank you Noah for giving my pup Phoebe an enthusiastic and warm welcome on our most recent visit). My dog makes a B line to the entrance every time (:

Always nice, good selection although a little on the expensive side. What do you expect being right next to Walnut Creek! My biggest complaint is the cost of dog washing. 18$. For $30 I can get my dog washed, blow dried, nails clipped and face trimmed for 30$. I do like that they have VIP Petcare that has clinics at that location for pet immunizations.

We pass by two pet supply places from home to reach this location, for many years the staff have been amazingly knowledgeable and helpful, and we feel at home and know that they have our best interest in heart, recently we have had extreme great service from Ruth and Dani, these ladies know what they're talking about, highly recommend this location
