My transmission gave out of my car and in the meantime I had to get a rental, John provides the best customer service than any other car rental place I've had to go to. When you come to Hertz in monument ask for John!!

Terrible service. The African American Male who works at the Hertz rental, in concord ca on Monument Blvd, is incredibly rude and disrespectful and does everything in his power to get out of doing his job. Including not answering the phone, hanging up on people who have been on hold waiting instead of helping them, as well as sitting there not doing anything at all while his coworker helped every single person in line by herself. Idk how he is still employed but because of him and him alone I will never give this location my business again. The rest of the people who work there are very pleasant and professional as far as I have experienced.

Made reservations, didn’t have my car at time of pickup wanted. Very rude and unprofessional staff/ management (John Jacobs).

Great place to rent a car. The new manager there is amazing. He took care of me and my family's need with a better car than we reserved. I'm definitely coming back.

I had to wait for 2 hours and 40 minutes for the car, and I had to leave in the end without getting a car, because I have other things in life to do. The whole thing sucks, and I will never try to rent a car with any hertz location.

Unprofessional people. They are just wasting people’s time. I was there and the employees were having fun and they were telling the customers hey can I put you on hold I have some customer here.

I rented a Tesla through the Uber program and I was given the bare minimum orientation. I couldn't find a rapid charging station using the websites Hertz provided. I ended up losing several days pay until a kind stranger at a charging station helped me out.

The car ran great but there were a few problems but they gave me discount for it. But the big reason I’m happy with them is my daughter left her wallet in car with over two thousand cash and they put it in safe for her. So nice to see honest people in the world today. For this I will always rent from hertz

Booked online, and was called by the location stating that they have too many reservations, and not enough cars, so they cancelled my reservation 30 minutes prior to when I was supposed to pick up. According to the employee, this happens a lot. Needless to say, this left me scrambling, oh, and to top it off, they even charged me for the cancellation, which I had to call Hertz corporate to get removed. HERTZ IS A JOKE. If you are looking for a transparent, drama-free car rental, DO NOT RENT AT HERTZ.

A couple of weeks ago, my parents' car's battery died during one of the year's hottest days. The alternator also broke, so the car was towed to the Honda Service Center in Concord. Honda told us that our car would take about a week to get fixed, so they needed to rent a car. We were directed to Hertz Car Rental on Monument. However, this was on a Sunday, and their office was closed, so I could only reserve a car on Monday the next day. I wanted to ensure my parents would have a car, so I reserved one online that night. When I got to the office the next morning, I told Jeanette and Brittany the situation about my parents' car, and they were so kind and patient about it. I thoroughly enjoyed their customer service, and whenever I had a question or request, they listened and met my parents' needs.

Not very customer forward location. Got car on half tank returned same. Manager provided a gas gage shot from an angle to look like more was in car at rental time than there was and charged us $44 for less than a quarter tank. Would not explain how she got that figure. Instead of waiving the small bit of gas she argued with us for 20 min. When all was done, she dropped it to $11 . Las time we use that location.

Booked a car online at the Concord airport location except they is not one. We ended up at the Monument location and was helped by Brittany. She was amazing and went out of her way to help us out and made sure we got the same price we paid for it online. She was knowledge, patient and put our mind at ease. We rented a van but her location did not have one so she gave us a SVU. Will definitely be back and hopefully Brittany will be there.

Totally unprofessional staff person.If someone else rents you a car, in your name but with their credit card, that person has to be present.How ridiculous is that?So I tried to rent a car while there: I was told to go online or call the 800 number. I was standing at the counter!My car was in for repairs, in Concord, for a week.I was stuck. Had to take Lyft home: 40 miles.Went to Budget, in Oakland, where I live.Super fast and terrific representation. Took 10 minutes!!
