Unfortunately, my last order did not meet expectations in terms of customer service and delivery. I ordered antique tureens for my daughter's birthday, and one month later, they still had not arrived. When I called Elsie Green, I was told they'd been trying to contact e as the book I also ordered was out of print and they hadn't yet fulfilled the remaining part of the order. Unusual business practice. And when I double checked to see if I'd been emailed as they told me, I did not receive an email from date of order (9/25) until date I called to double check (10/14). Shipping of the order is now due almost 4 weeks after I initially ordered it. I'm so disappointed and unsure whether or not I will order from this company again, despite my love of their product line. PDBoynton

I have placed many online orders with this shop and have always had a great experience. Fast shipping, and great customer service with prompt response when needed. And of course, a lovely selection of vintage goods frequently updated.

Incredibly disappointed with the experience I’ve had with Elsie Green. I’m currently awaiting a response after they told me that in order to return the table that I purchased, NOT custom - literally just clicked “add to cart” and there is even a note at the bottom of the description saying that if you wanted a custom piece to reach out sooo I would think that I most definitely did NOT order a custom piece - that I would have to pay for shipping and only get a 50% refund. That is the refund policy for the CUSTOM furniture, all the way at the bottom of the return policy, by the way.
Not to mention, the table arrived extremely late with little communication when I inquired about that, and DAMAGED. Part of the reason I want to return it is the damage - they just sent a wax kit so I could fix it myself which is not at all helpful. That was their only response to the damage. And also, the finish is…well, it’s not finished. The table is extremely rough and splintery.
To me, the damaged arrival alone is enough to warrant a free return. However, this company clearly does not value customer service.
OH and they asked that we not touch the table so they could “resell it some day as new”. So maybe that’s why it was damaged. They probably did that to me.
Reporting to the BBB but wanted to make sure others knew about this experience.

I ordered a custom reclaimed wood kitchen table and am delighted with the table. The table is well made of solid wood and has so much character. My partner and I keep remarking how much we love it. The delivery service was also excellent and did a lovely job of getting it into the house smoothly and efficiently. Thank you, Elsie Green team!

I am not one to leave reviews but I feel obligated to do so. I ordered a custom table and have tried two times now to reach out about my order without any response whatsoever. I understand delays occur but the lack of communication given the thousands of dollars spent just really speaks volumes of a company. Still have yet to hear back although it’s been weeks since my first attempt at communication.

I wanted to be obsessed with Elsie Green, I love their website and style. However, I ordered a custom piece for my kitchen and, first and foremost, it was delayed several time with many unanswered emails (they did eventually respond and I did eventually received the piece.) I do know there are supply chain issues, but communication and updates were lacking. Secondly, I sent them the specs of my sink and paid to have the pieces custom made to fit the sink. The sink doesn’t fit and I have to pay my contractor to retrofit it. I would say not worth the thousands I paid for it though it is lovely.

Everyone should know that the finish they put on their waxed finish dining tables and buffets is NOT food safe. I brought this to their attention and they just dismissed me and refused to address the issue. Their communication is poor and they only care about making a sale.

I recently went to the concord location to buy a present for a friend who is a big fan of the style Elsie Green have "curated." It was not a great experience. The man working there couldn't have been more dismissive and unwelcoming. He made me feel very uncomfortable so I picked out something quickly, paid and couldn't wait to get out if there. Never again.

I purchased the Reclaimed Wood Farm Table and it far exceeded my expectations! The table is crafted as an heirloom piece and will last for many years to come! I was also extremely happy with the service and delivery. The table was delivered much earlier than I expected, hand delivered and set in my breakfast area. My interactions with the owner on several occasions were great. I would most definitely recommend this company.

I really wanted to be obsessed but my items arrived in bad packaging. For $250.00 and two antique bread boards - the packaging was horrendous. Delivered completely ripped open - and thrown in a large box/giant cardboard envelope style box. No wrapping or cushion material to keep the boards from spilling out. The boards themselves are beautiful. They were wet when arrived and one has a giant watermark on it - of course not sure if part of the “vintage” ness of the board or if from being soaked in the weather. I simply expect to receive the boards much safer.
