Just went to this range today had to be my best experience at any range ever. Honestly, I usually don’t like going to ranges because the people that work there are usually not that nice but this place here was amazing very helpful. The range masters were really nice went above and beyond. In my opinion, I was a little bit skeptical to go to this one because I read a comment from another person that said that they were racist. But honestly, I didn’t feel that at all, and I have long hair with a beard and darker skin tone lol the woman that worked at the front even answer some questions for me that had nothing to do with me at the range the range masters in the back of the range came out and helped me on their own while they seen me shooting and gave me some pointers. I had an absolutely great experience there. I usually don’t even write reviews but I left there so happy that I felt the need to write a review. The thing you have to understand about ranges. It’s a place where something dangerous can happen so you just have to go there with common sense and follow the rules. It’s simply that easy as long as you do that most likely, they won’t bother you and most likely they’ll come and help you if you need help.

For my first time in a long time going to a gun range it was a great experience. staff was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful with me.the RSO’s ran the lanes like a well oiled machine they were very attentive to the range cleaning whatever stray brass was forgotten on empty lanes while helping me figure out my scope the only thing I wish they would allow would be pictures of animals for hunting as that would would be my purpose for my rifle a friend of mine asked an RSO as to why and he said it puts you in a mind set to kill which I personally don’t agree with but it’s house rules other then that I truly loved how clean and professional the range was definitely will come back

I have always been a little apprehensive regarding handling guns etc but this class was excellent and really helped assuage my fears. The staff and volunteers were all excellent and kind. They were very helpful and patient too. It truly was a great experience and I learned a lot.Thank you Diablo Rod and Gun Club for providing this invaluable class!!

I love this place. What a beautiful location! I live 10-15 minutes away so my membership was both inexpensive and paid for itself many times over. When I swing down into the valley, I'm always happy with the beautiful views. I understand the club has been around for decades, but the facility was recently rebuilt all-new in the last few years. The range officers are all extremely friendly and helpful - and super safety-conscious, which I do appreciate a great deal. Some newer shooters might feel the ROs are strict, but when I see new visitors pointing their barrels any place besides down-range, I really appreciate their high level of conscientiousness. When you've taken your marksmanship to a higher level, look into the Diablo Action Pistol range just next door.

I think that the new range is the best expression of our freedom as Americans. Now that the range is open I will enjoy it as long as I can and then haunt it afterwards , rewarding efforts to maintain and prosper USI

The rifle range has been graded incorrectly. One can only shoot at 25 and 100 yards. The target location at 50 yards would require the target to be mounted so high that you would need a ladder to access it. Mounting it at a standard height would result in the pass throughs hitting the ground in front of the berm instead of directly into the berm. For those of us that like to zero at 50 to be on at 200, this presents a problem. I hope they get this fixed soon.Everything else about this range is good. The staff is outstanding.

Great to see shooters lining up to shoot at United Sportsman’s new facility. The parking lot full of cars and everyone practicing self distancing during the Covid 19 pandemic. Great job by those who persisted and brought the facility completion. Great job guys !!!!
