Wow, great shop, fixed my Holley on the spot. Price was right and he listed to what I was describing and found a leaking internal seal within minutes had the carb half rebuilt and put back together.

I have to admit i didn't even bring in my carburetor, Steve walked me thru trouble shooting and fixing my carburetor with a broken brass fuel nipple all thru phone calls and texts. He went over and beyond to help me, it goes a long with just being patient, yet alone 5 phone calls. Thanks again Steve, highly recommended, especially after dealing with many rip off mechanics in my life and in general, thanks again Steve

Really knowledgable about carbs,fuel injection and drivetrain my car went in just running when he took the carb off and fixed the jets and timing car idles excellent now and has more power efficiently ??

Rebuild carburetor Complete Rip-off will never do business with them again. Told it would be finished in two days . It took two weeks and many calls. He priced it at two weeks of work though. My mistake I could of bought a brand new one delivered to my house for the price I paid to rebuild it. Steve is a con artist.............

Issues with my 1955 Thunderbird running poorly. With a suspected carburetor issue, a friend referred me to Steve. Over the course of half a day, Steve was able to tune the carburetor and methodically, system by system rule in/out possibilities. He patiently walked me through the process so that I would have a good understanding. He ultimately was able to narrow down the issue and pinpoint that the ignition unit inside the distributor was failing. I brought over a new one, which he immediately installed and did some final tuning. The car is back to its old reliable self!

The business where located hardly have parking space. I called the business owner's once a week to see if I can drop-off my car but, can't get an appointment. He was always book, he said. Imagine, calling the owner, in the last six months and his excuse was always busy or booked all the time! So, I stop calling the place.

Made a call to Steve after a long week of trying to diagnose a huge fuel leak out of a rebuilt carb. Within 10 min he had sent me a personal iPhone video showing exactly what I needed to do and guess what.. fired up no leaks and he did t even try to get me to come into the shop. I don't do a lot of carb work but a lot of the guys on jeep and bronco forums do! Thank you Steve and will share your info with everyone who asks!!

Highly recommended! Steve really knows his stuff. PhD carb status. After many frustrating inquiries to different shops about our old boat carb, Steve was the first person who was willing to help and offered frank, knowledgeable guidance in accessible language. I was wary about driving out to to Concord from the Bay, but it was so worth the trip (and if you plan the trip in off traffic hours, it's not bad). He rebuilt our carb, ran it on his test engine and provided us with some maintenance steps to we don't have this problem again. I'm in the process of completing those steps and then will put back the carb.

Brought a Carb to get the shaft for the throttle blades repaired, and I'm sure Steve WOULD have done a good job....Keyword WOULD...Had the carb for 2 weeks, I checked in with him 5 different times....The last call I made, he said he had the carb on the stand and it would be ready for pick up. Great!...Call the following day before I head over to pick it up, now he tells me "He'll be looking at it soon", "to keep checking in with him" WTF...Drove down picked up my Carb immediately....He didn't touch it...AT ALL, he basically stored it for 2 weeks all the while, giving me the run around. He's a BS'er for sure. I'm sure he does good work (so I've been told), but at the expense of being lead on and lied too.....I'll pass. I don't have the time and patience to deal with someone like that....If you do, then don't say I didn't warn you.

This past month I was traveling from the State of Washington to Santa Barbara California, with my 15 year old daughter along the Washington/ Oregon/California Coast, in my 65 Convertible Mustang, and broke down on a Sunday evening right North of the Golden Gate Bridge. I had to have it towed to San Francisco. I "thought" it was a Fuel/Carburetor problem. First thing Monday morning, Not being from the area, and not knowing anyone who who worked on Carburetors and Fuel systems, I called several Carburetor shops in town, and everyone I called, stated they could not get me in for up to two weeks. Here I am, in a strange town, on our Vacation, and again, not knowing anyone. The last chance I had on my I-Phone Carburetor list, was to call Steve at "Contra Costa Carburetor". Steve was very sympathetic to our situation, and even though he said he was booked solid, he would get us in that afternoon because we were stranded. Once we arrived to his small shop that Monday afternoon, with the vehicle barely running, he told us to hop in his personal truck and he would run us to a Deli close by for the afternoon while he worked on our car. Very kind of him! By afternoon's end, our car was running again, and we continued on our Vacation with no more mechanical issues. It ended up being not only some Carburetor issues, but also a bad Coil, which Steve diagnosed. What a True Blessing Steve is, and his true and honest character is second to none! These type of people are very rare now days! "Thank You Steve" !!! You saved our Vacation from being a total disaster with car mechanical problems!
