Been coming to see Shaun for several years for work on my “luxury SUV!” I really don’t appreciate totally outrageous dealership costs! Let Shaun know what noise your vehicle is making or what you want done! He’ll let you know, and if he can save you some money, he’ll let you know about that also. I really appreciate how he explains what is going on with my vehicle. I had to have my AC compressor changed…in triple digit weather it was necessary! Now it’s pumping out “super cool air!” Thank you!!
Shaun is a great person and i appreciate that he is such a great mechanic. I’m so glad he opened his shop?! And you will too!
I would highly recommend this place if you like trusting your car to a mechanic that does excellent work.

It wasn't a horrible experience, but it wasn't phenomenal either. Paid $250 for a consultation, but that amount is not applied towards any other services so we were not inclined to come back despite everything else. Plus with the diagnostic we received, it was like pulling teeth because their printer was not working and they were not diligent about getting us the diagnostic information promptly and we had to be a squeaky wheel about it. The biggest thing was their equipment. It couldn't read what was wrong with our vehicle entirely which was disappointing for the price, but ultimately one of the things that they did say that would cause issues was not their recommend top priority for us look into...and then a couple weeks later that same issue they mentioned caused our vehicle to catch on fire. Not their fault it caught on fire, but they surely didn't help us urgently prevent it. The whole point of us bringing our vehicle in was to see what needed to be fixed. We don't feel like we were pointed in the right direction, and we don't feel like we were helped in preventing our vehicle from getting worse. At the end of the day, they weren't jerks, they would help us with many things but not everything, and to us it didn't seem like the best value price point wise.

I've been taking my car here for years, and they are always so nice, so helpful, and very honest. Definitely my top choice of mechanic, even when I moved two hours away. Highly recommend!

I had my vehicle smogged and requested an oil change. Everything went well however they didn’t provide an oil maintenance sticker to remind when the oil change is next due. Small detail yet important.

Call in and stated I need a smog certification done (on here it states that they are a "smog inspection station") and asked if I can come in anytime or do I need to make an appt. THe guy that answerd the phone just hang up and I never recieved a call back.

Clayton Treat Automotive is great! Shaun is really quite excellent. I have had several things taken care of by them, e.g., of course several smog checks, an alterator replacement, a radiator replacement, & miscellaneous. All very well done. Needed a smog check. They took me in, even though they were already busy serving other customers. It was a small wait. They were efficient, great customer service and very reasonable rates. I highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again!!

So expensiveI try to do a smog check and they try to charge me $86 !!!!!!! With a 2 hours waiting timeI made the smog check in Pittsburg for only $45 and 10 minutes
