Tried to cancel the guest option on my membership and was told that they could not do it that I had to talk directly to the manager. Then when I told him I wanted to cancel my whole membership then magically said they could do it. I decided for being lied to that I was still going to cancel my membership. I spoke to the manager who was going to refund me my last month so that I didn't have to go back there and deal with them so he decided to refund me an amount that he decided to make up in his head different than my monthly dues... I want to make it as hard as possible to try to cancel or change anything but as easy as possible to take more of your money would not recommend going here if you value your money... I'm having to call my bank and report it is fraud to get my money back properly it should not have to happen

This gym has so much potential, and used to be very good when new, but attention to the little things that matter is disappointing. There are two water stations. One doesn't work to refill bottles (you can take a sip from the faucet if that's your thing), the other consistently has the "red" light warning--CHANGE FILTER. Fix one, change the filter on the other...how hard is that? Weight/Pounds on machines are mostly missing, especially in the ranges frequently used. Hard to know, am I lifting 15, 20, 30, etc.. New decals for the entire gym probably cost $50 on Amazon. Come on man!

I was followed into the parking lot and verbally threatened by the club manager at this concord branch that he would wipe my ass. Another female ganged up with the manager and lied about the incident to cover up his retaliation. Anyway, whoever was not at fault does not warrant him to follow me into the parking lot. Just to add on I called the cops and corporate operation off and they were useless. I will continually call them and complaint.

An associate lied to my face about a membership and I am now out $100. I planned to move to Portland OR from California Nov 2023 and made it clear to the associate who signed me up for City Sports in October 2023. He let me know that if I signed up, I'd be able to use the LA fitness locations up in Portland. So, I signed up double checking that I would be able to use this membership once I moved up the next month. Now that I'm up at the NW Portland Pearl District LA Fitness location, I am being told that I was never actually able to access multiple clubs. For $50, and after double checking with the person who helped me choose my membership, I do not believe the staff here are acting in good faith. This is disappointing, and leaves me with two months of fees with zero access to a single club in my state.

It has been 5 months since I gave my last review and sadly things haven't changed. I want to say that people at front desk don't check who is a member and who is not. If they see a large group which usually happens evenings, they let them go. Equipment is not maintained, place is not clean, zero benefit if you pay PT, equipment and PT area are used by anyone. Locker rooms and restrooms are dirty, cleaning staff gets mad if you point out at things that need attention. Who on earth sprays water during rush hour? In the end all falls into admin coordination and management. It is disappointing because other City Sports are way better and well maintained, unfortunately the one close to my home and workplace.

the WORST club i've ever been to. secret payments EVERYWHERE, like seriously 180 a month for a trainer to do what a youtube video does for free ?? JT or JJ is a LYING pos, sitting there showing pics of his family that nobody asked for while "accidentally" failing to mention a $50 annual fee. READ THE FINE PRINT BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE!!!

Staff on Saturday morning were nice. Angel helped me out with a membership. Good location with parking. Equipment is worn out from frequent use, but still usable. Biggest issue here is cleanliness. Floors are dirty throughout. I'm sure a lot of equipment dirty or contaminated. This is how you catch Heb B. Also, locker rooms were not cleaned well either, one toilet needed some serious help. The floors covered with hair balls or small pieces of trash everywhere. Pool deck was also gross and the pool needs to be cleaned as well. You can see stuff floating at the bottom. Honestly, if there was more help to clean the gym it would be 5 stars, but cleanliness is a huge issue.

the worst customer service, I was with an instructor named Angel, who told me that I could enter today for my free day pass, so I bought all my things for admission, but at the time of admission the General Manager in the MOST rude way possible he let me know that the pass to visit the Gym was only activated until tomorrow. The truth is, if the customer service is so TERRIBLE, I don't want to imagine the services after being associated. The instructors must give you reliable information from the beginning, the managers must be kind to people and avoid wasting your time. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Sales rep JT lied to us (the older guy wearing a gold chain) and said that the vip guest pass only works a day after redeems and wouldn’t let us in despite the fact that we have done the vip guest pass before and have had no issue. JT is only focused on upselling and getting commission even if it means lying. The gym is nice and most of the staff are too but this type of behavior is unwarranted.

Was visiting from California. They were very nice and helpful for my first time. Food was delicious and plenty of it. I didn't know where to start but ended with a full belly. Definitely my new spot when I go back to visit.

I would give 5 stars except the front desk (the red hair girl with a bun on top), who really needs some customer service training. Or maybe she just doesn’t care?! This is a good gym, except her.

It’s a solid gym and value. Equipment is generally in good shape and the area clean. Like many moderately priced gym it will get busy and miss on some of the details but I’m happy with what I’m paying for.Personal training has been great for me and Brian is a fantastic trainer. I’ve had a few different trainers at other locations but he’s been top notch.

"You need to get out of here"I got a VIP guest pass from an active member and went to this location on 6/20. Whoever on the late shift at 9pm provided me horrible service. I got there and I was told the code needed to be activated before use. I know it may take him a bit time and explaining to do because I was trying to see if there's anyway I can get in using the pass so I don't waste my 30 minutes commute there. He showed no patience, no leniency, and no empathy at all. He just barely explained their sales rep isn't here and told me I "need to get out of here", embarrassing me in front of everyone as if I've done something wrong trying to use my guest pass?? I drove 30 minutes to the gym and I took him less than 10 minutes of time while I was there. I was being respectful the entire time my 10 minutes there but "You need to get out of here" is all I got.

The manager NICO lack both soft & hard skills to function as a manager. Throughout my time at City Sports, I was enrolled in Personal Training & he did so many mistakes in terms of billing & communicating the contract expectations. When I reached out to him due to billing discrepancies, he had the audacity to rather blame & yell at me. Also, on one instance he yelled “Get the hell out of here” when I was walking through the door because I asked him a simple question about my next billing date. At that point, I decided to cancel both my personal training as well as the Gym membership as I absolutely don’t feel safe coming to a place where the staff is so aggressive and inhuman.

Most of the employees are very very rude. They don't know how to use their software. Instead of appreciating the customer, they act like they are letting you use their private gym or pool. With this kind of customer service they are trying hard so the owner go out of business shortly. Make sure your are out before they go out of business so you don't loss your money.
