Best experience ever!
Our washing machine decided to die on a Wednesday, following my husband returning from a trip. We had multiple towels, wash cloths and all the regular day to day clothes, including what he'd worn while being out of town. The washer can't be repaired for a couple of weeks so we needed a solution.
Big Wave Laundromat offers Wash and Fold services by the pound. We took in everything we had before 10am on the Thursday and they had it washed, folded and packed in a plastic bag in the hamper we brought it in with before 2pm. They even used our laundry detergent that we brought with it.
I will absolutely be coming back until our washing machine is fixed and cannot say enough on how their professional service saved us in this situation!

Today, I visited my usual laundromat to wash my clothes. I’ve always appreciated their service, which is why I continue to go there. However, I had a particularly negative experience with the staff, which left me feeling disrespected and aggravated.
I started by putting my clothes into a machine, but for some reason, the machine didn’t wash them—my clothes were still dry. I didn’t make a big deal out of it and decided to transfer my clothes to a different machine. In the process, I realized I had forgotten to add soap, so I pressed the emergency stop button to correct the issue. After restarting the machine, I had to stop it again because it started leaking. There was no sign or instruction indicating that once the emergency stop was used, the machine couldn’t be restarted without staff assistance.
When I approached an employee to inform her about the issue, she questioned me about how many times I had pressed the button, which I found frustrating. It felt like I was being blamed for the machine malfunctioning. There’s no posted instructions saying to call the staff before pushing the emergency button.
The employee, who was light-skinned with reddish hair, refused to restart the machine initially and was dismissive when I asked for the management’s contact information. She told me to call a number that wasn’t even available on the card and suggested I “Google it.” I felt that this was not how a customer should be treated, so I got firm with her, emphasizing that she needed to restart the machine. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she escalated it by calling the police.
When the police arrived, I explained the situation, and the officer acknowledged that there were no signs posted instructing customers to notify the staff before using the emergency stop button. He suggested that, to avoid further escalation, I should just collect my wet clothes and leave, as I could be arrested for trespassing if the employee called the police again.
I agreed to leave, but I want to make it clear that I don’t think it’s acceptable for anyone to be treated the way I was. There are proper ways to communicate with customers, and being hostile or aggressive isn’t one of them. I recognize that I also allowed the situation to escalate by responding aggressively, but I believe that the staff needs to reevaluate their approach to customer service.
I intend to take this matter further and will be contacting management. I’m also considering involving my attorney, as it’s important to address the principle of the situation. Hardworking people should be able to use a service without being disrespected or having the police called on them unnecessarily. My hope is that this will lead to better customer service practices at this establishment in the that’s the girl in the picture

Place is ok: but staff is usually very rude. They seem to have some preferences to whom they want to be nice and depends on the day.
usually they seem bothered when you ask for help. Which happens to be more than none cause the cards and bending machines dont work
Properly most of the time :/ sorry not sorry

This was my first laundromat experience in decades. A very kind employee offered to help me before I knew to ask. I had a lot of loads, and accidently left a load behind. Three days later I realized my mistake and they had my clothes in a bag with the date. I was so impressed with Big Wave Laundromat.

I have been a customer of big wave laundromat for 10 +years now, today I had to change my 5 star review to a 1 star review.
I was using four of the $10 machines. One of them was not accepting my card, and I didn't have time to go notify one of the women working because I was in a rush and she was assisting another customer. I moved my clothes from one machine to another and started the wash. In that process, I noticed that the machine that was malfunctioning apparently did take money from my card. I went and notified one of the women working, and she told me that I needed to notify her sooner and she could not refund me the money that the machine took. Apparently, the procedure is that someone needs to be notified in the exact moment that a machine is malfunctioning. They have cameras they can look and see that I'm not lying that I put the money in there.
This WAS my 5-star review from 7 years ago...
Very well kept and clean! They also offer specials throughout the week like free soap, discounted drying rates, and my favorite discounted wash rates! They are card operated and for every $20 you deposit you get $1 credit added! They also have a laundry product vending machine along with a snack and drink vending machine. Lastly they have an atm on-site, offer free Wi-Fi and fluff and fold services!!

I had such a positive experience here! The employees were very nice and helpful in showing me which machines would be best for my loads, how to load the card, tips for adjusting the fussy door on the washers/ dryers. Everyone was going around wiping down surfaces and sweeping. I was worried I didn’t have enough cash bc the rates are higher than our apartment but hey, the place is also cleaner and more reliable! The dryers were like 60 cents to run and were gigantic . This is a new experience for me but I was really pleasantly surprised and will come back.

I use this laundromat monthly. one of the big washers smelled like pee. I put laundry soap and color Clorox enough to wash 4 blankets and some sheets. I should'be notified the attendant but instead washed a load at 9.95 plus the PLUS WASH for .25 cents on hot water. after the wash all but a one piece smelled like pee. I asked the attendant if there was something she could do and that one large 8 load water needed to be cleaned out. She said she contact he Manager NANCY in regards to the incident. after the phone call her Manager NANCY said there was nothing they could do because their not responsible for the outcome of my laundry. But isn't this a business that runs all day long? and the prices keep raising. BAD business move and the Managers probab didn't even suggest to clean out that big machine too.

Most machines always work well, very clean. In the bathrooms you have to use your card with which you wash to enter.
