TL:DR; Wanna pay quadruple the cost for parts and then have them cause damage to your car that they refuse to hold any accountability for or even try to correct? This is your spot.
Brought my lady's car in for inspection and service since she is commuting a further distance now for work. Told them it just needed to run for another 6 months to a year for our purposes. It wasn't in bad shape, just wanted to get the overall health of the car checked. They find no major issues, but suggest a tune up, including changing out the ignition coil, some spark plugs etc. Approve this, and they do the work.
Charged me 400 dollars for an ignition coil that should have costed around 100 to start (after I looked it up in retrospect). We get the car back, and when I take it to fill up the gas tank the next day, I notice the SRS warning light is on, indicating an issue with the airbags.
This was not on prior to them working on it, and indeed if it had been, should have been noted in the inspection. It was not. Try to get a hold of the shop to speak about the issue, but they were closed until Tuesday. I tell my lady to drive carefully to work and we'll get it addressed shortly.
The next day, the car won't start when she's trying to leave work. Amazing all of the sudden the battery is dead. She gets jumped and gets it home. I go out and buy a new battery to replace it, but check the car first and it starts, but now the instrument panel won't light up upon starting the vehicle. I try it again and it turns on (the instrument panel), but the SRS light is still active.
I swap out the battery a few days later, its running fine, but the SRS light is still on. At this point I've talked to the owner who agreed to take a look at it but refused to take any culpability for the issue. After consulting some mechanic friends and doing some research on the work they did, it I discovered that there were components of the electrical system that they would have interacted with in changing the ignition coil.
Today when I came down to have him take another look, he absolutely refused to inspect the car, insisting that nothing they did could have caused the issue. Had he just agreed to look at the vehicle and assess the issue, and fix what is probably a minor problem, he could have earned a customer for life.
Instead, I now intend to dispute the charge with my credit card company and if necessary take him to small claims after I've had it looked at by a reputable, reasonable mechanic. The instrument panel comes on 50% of the time now and the SRS light is still on.
I wouldn't trust this man with a wrench, much less a car, ever again.

One of the best experiences I had purchasing a vehicle. Some private dealers can be sketchy, but these guys are rockstars. They sold their vehicle to me for a very competitive and reasonable price, and didn’t throw any type of hidden fees or try to pressure me in any way. No frills, great communication, and very very honest people. Can’t recommend them enough!

Having just moved it's always a struggle to find a new reliable and trustworthy auto shop. Havingb paid an arm and a leg at the Diablo Subaru dealership, we tried out this shop and have been bringing our Subarus here since. Through axels and brake pads being replaced, after getting other quotes from other shops we've consistently found this place to be well within range for different kinds of work. Most of all, we appreciate how they are honest and never push any unnecessary work, and how they have our best interests in mind.

My car had an starting issue. Car clicks once but doesn't start. Above Auto care also found out that my alternator wasn't pulling the required voltage so they replaced the alternator and starter. From their friendly and knowledgeable staff to their quick and efficient work, this shop exceeded my expectations.They provided a fair estimate, gave me a timeline and the car was done within 3 days. Car ran great after the repairs. The customer service here is outstanding.I highly recommend Above Auto Care for any automotive needs. They're skilled, honest, and truly care about their customers.

Needed to get my car serviced on short notice ahead of a road trip (poor prep on my part) and couldn't get in anywhere that had remotely decent ratings anytime soon. Submitted request for estimate and timing on Yelp, received a response from AAC within an hour and after two exchanged messages they had squeezed me in the next day. Good people, more than fair pricing, great work on short notice and encourage all to support this business that does things the right way.

Honest, hard to find in a mechanic. Could work on their communication/listening skills but overall satisfactory job and had some helpful advice on another issue with my car. Will use them again.

Wish I could give them 10 stars- they're great at their jobs. The owner Vuong is knowledgeable and incredibly kind, Ken works hard at the desk as well as out of it. They fixed my 98 Explorer in 2 separate days and now it handles the roads beautifully. I definitely recommend coming here for any car problems or servicing when they open in the morning!

Been coming here for a while now so it was time for a review. This shop i recommend. They tell me what's wrong with my car and what needs to be done. Maybe i should get a different car if i have to keep coming back here but when I do have issues with my car, i know where to bring it for service.
