Gym is run down with a lot of issues with equipment (and AC as mentioned) but it's an uncrowded place to get a decent workout, so it's fine. The reason for my review is that there is a sign on the door that the gym will be permanently closing on 9/20/24. Too bad, as it was conveniently located for my noon time workout. I don't know how they plan on accommodating this entire gym crowd into the Walnut Creek facility, as that one is already more busy than this location. It would make an already average (at best) gym experience much worse, resulting in a lot of unsatisfied members.

It's a general complaint, I went into a room where they said it was for training and they banned me from entering, I don't understand the facilities are disgusting, and they still prohibit you from exercising in a place that according to them is for training??? Then close the door, I'm not going back to this gym. Wait for my lawsuit before the court

I would give it zero star if possible. There are many shortcomings like lack of cleanliness, broken equipment, and the short hours. But the biggest issue is the upstairs free weights area having no working AC (or any ventilation) whatsoever! And this area constitutes the vast majority of the gym itself. It is extremely hot, with some days exceeding well past 90-degrees in this space where we are supposed to exert ourselves! This is seriously not acceptable at all. For starter, it is a major OSHA violation (requirement is 82-degrees whenever employees are present). Aside from the legal ramifications, what if someone gets hurt, or develops a heat stroke while working out because of the unhabitable environment?!
And please do not tell me to talk to the local team members because they have heard it all. While they have been great, it sounds like they either don't have the approval, the funding, or both to get this issue resolved!

I've been going here for over 2 years and it's just awful, with the refusal to turn on AC, lack of matenence on machines that have been broken for months, the TV next to the elevator being broken for at least a year, a manager that doesn't appear do jack. This is the only 24 hour fitness ive seen not actually be open 24 hours. This place is an absolute mess(I'm stuck with going here because of convince).

Air conditioning is broken in the upstairs area where all the weights are located. It's like 90 degrees in there someone is going to get a heat stroke.

7/3/24 The airconditioner upstairs is still inoperable after two weeks. Machines are always out of order. The leg extension machine back support has been missing since February, as well as the chest press.
They need management who cares about their customers and takes pride in their gym.

Not going to lie, this is one of the dirtiest gyms I've ever been too (and keep going back too).... It's flagrantly obvious there is no cleaning from day to day, there are things on the floor that stay there for days on end... The restrooms smell like urine, and have never smelled clean....
Other than that, the equipment works and it's close to me so I keep going back. The community inside of the gym is fantastic if you can get past the cleanliness (or lack thereof)...

I was at the 24 hour fitness gym in Concord today and had received excellent customer service from Chris at the front desk. Thank you so much Chris!

It's 5:12am and the club hadn't opened. This happens way to often.

Great classes offered at this facility. Needs more UJam fitness classes! Also the A/C in the group class never seems to be working. The Richmond location is larger and the A/C works. Maybe management can renovate this location soon to update facility and repair A/C.

Coldest showers ever to be taken, almost no hot water. So I go to any other location except this one!

Since the Walnut Creek gym is closed for renovations, the P. Hill gym is jammed with people making very difficult to use equipment. But the worse thing is that the sauna's drain has been plugged for about two weeks now! The backed-up water is dark and it reeks. This should certainly be a health violation. They don't even bother to clean the floor anymore! When a piece of equipment breaks down it takes months to get fixed! So all in all the gym needs a lot of attention.
