“Have you ever been to Gelson's on 2nd and PCH in Long Beach? I love shopping at Gelsons. There is a definite difference in the quality of meat and produce over other stores. They also have a wine bar!! I enjoy their deli and ready-made food section. It's better than Whole Foods. They also carry See's candy. Even simple things like their buttermilk dinner biscuits are out of this world. Their staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the store is always clean. They also have a beautiful bakery with irresistible treats. You can even buy gifts there. They have flowers and plants and all the best wrapping paper and cards Papryus offers. To top it all off, their loyalty program is better than all the rest. I save $5 to $10 per visit depending on how much I spend and I don't have to click digital coupons before I go. I highly recommend shopping at Gelson's 2nd and PCH.”

“First time Ive been in the store and honestly I was blown away. It's clearly an old Costco inside but it's been converted into a giant supermarket.
The first thing you'll notice is the prices, especially on things like produce are dramatically less than even Walmart. Every paper and canned good has a WinCo generic brand for a fraction of the price. They also sell cat food, bird seed, granola and cooking supplies in bulk. They even managed to sneak in a honey/peanut butter maker from when Whole Foods was actually worth it.
And then there are the employees. A quick Google tells me the entire store is employee owned and operated. The employees, accordingly don't have the walking dead look like Vons or Target workers do. They are actually quite cheerful and helpful. The whole place gives off vibes of what grocery stores were like in the 80s, but with less cigarette smoke.
5/5 will be returning.”

I love the fish department, you buy they fry and it's a wide variety of fish that I've never seen nor tasted! I just ask the person where it's from and how does it tastes

Sadly these memories are almost impossible to recreate once you're back home as many products are very hard to locate outside the U.K.. Except they're not! Get yourself right on down to The British Connection! From Branston Pickle to Violet Crumble to Hob Nobs to Maynards Liquorice Allsorts to Sticky Toffee - it's all there! Major disappointment!Tuesday is senior discount day!The hot self-serve & salad bars are back but not the Taco Tuesday choices.Now only going once a month.”

“Like this store. I've been going here for several years now. Although there is a closer store of this network. Convenient location of goods. There are always lots of promotions. Large assortment, you can find almost anything. There are also bulk products such as meat, chicken, fish, salads, pickles, cold meats, cheeses and sweets. You can say no cons, except for ever-growing prices, but this is clearly not a question for the store.”

“I always come here to get my dose of vitamin C.Whenever I feel sick with a cold or feel like I'm coming down with a cold. I come here and get the biggest cup of freshly squeezed OJ they have!! I love that they keep the pulp for the fiber! It's good for you! They freshly squeeze the juice on the spot!! So you're getting the most freshest juice ever! Not like store bought OJ that's been on the shelf for who knows how many days.Staff is friendly, very welcoming and helpful!They have a well stocked market. I will come back if I need to get any Mexican products.The place is clean and the music is awesome!”

“If you are ever in the Montebello area you must visit this family owned Armenian market. They carry puri bread from the famous San Fernando Valley Victory Bread bakery brought in fresh daily. They also sell homemade hummus, tabouli, dolmas and other items. They have a great assortment of feta cheeses. The owners are the sweetest!”

On, March 6, the cashier told me that the item I had was not on sale, so I asked to make an exchange on a sale item. The cashier very willing did it and she got out of her chair to take the item back and brought back the correct item. Kudos to this gal for going out of her way for the customer. This is the type of employees we need in our communities. Too bad I didn't get her name.”
“I went to buy injera and grounded meat. The store owner welcomed me with beautiful smile and a great customer service. The time she went inside ( another room) to prepare the meat which I requested to be grind. I started looking around all over the store. Every single item placed well in organized. If you actually want to buy something with out asking:- where can I ...? Question , you will find it easily. It's very neat. No dust at all. I recommend the owner to keep this great job for future. If you are looking Ethiopian food, clothes, herbs, ANYTHING! I won't have enough space to mention all. You should go to Geni mini market.
