I'm not sure I've been to a Walmart quite like this Walmart , it seemed like everything was locked up and so you have to call for an employee to come get whatever it is you desire to buy and then they put the item inside a hard plastic box with a lock. I found that somewhat offensive to the people who shop here because we all know there's theft but not everyone's a thief and shouldn't be treated as a potential thief . It bothered me but they'll never change it I know that much . Sorry but they should change this it's offensive .

Poor customer service. Associates are rude and act as though they want to avoid assisting customers. Associates don't know where items are located in the store. People are always angry at this Walmart.Reckless driving in the parking lot.

Look just because it's Walmart doesn't mean it's ok for the bad service... IMPROVE service and management, Target is better but for families who want to save those extra $$ shop here. I personally love Target but I frequent Walmart too... The same service and cleanliness I get at target I want at Walmart. With that being said this COMPTON LOCATION IS HORRIBLE reminds me of the one on Crenshaw they shut down... No management the workers just walk around never have what you actually need and if they do it's not stocked smh... The money center is horrible the old lady always look mad... I'm just over this location SHUT IT DOWN

No wonder they have low ratings. Came here today to return something that I bought at another Walmart and the customer service section is closed so they can't take a return. The lady there said they don't have anyone working this section and none of the registers can do a return.

"This is the worst Wal-Mart I have ever seen," is usually the prevailing thought in my mind whenever I visit any Wal-Mart. Never again. That statement can only be true about this particular super center. I have never seen a place that had half its items locked in security cases. The wait for someone with a key to open up one of these cases is a standard 10-15 minutes at any other Wal-Mart. But with this particular location locking up mundane items like socks and underwear, I can't imagine how long a person would have to wait. Oh, and FYI and it's impossibly messy, noisy, and dirty in there, too, if things like that are important to you. Yikes. Stay away. Especially if you don't like watching groups of young men rubbing womens' clothing items on their crotches for laughs (true story).

What I just witnessed at this store is a disgrace to the Walmart brand. Employees having a back and forth with a team lead and a worker. The worker going back and forth telling the team lead he been there longer. If it wasn't because I needed the item I came to get I would've threw the item down and walked out. Just very unprofessional. I know that certain locations expect that behavior from citizens because it's that area but to see the employees acting out with something that could've been discussed in the back office and others just walked by. I stopped and urged the group of 2 female Hispanic and 1 male Hispanic and 1 African American male in the middle of the store going back and forth. I'm just taken back. Then to go to customer service to ask for this manager "Jesse" phone number or email and of course no method to contact him. Shop elsewhere if you desire to shop in a peaceful and professional setting. I'm forced to choose 1 star but truly after this it deserves no star.

Walmart is Walmart. When you need something and you need it to be cost effective Walmart is the place to go. I'll build their prices have risen since Covid they are still the cheapest option for getting your household items. And they generally stay well stocked so most times you can find what you need at Walmart. That's always a good thing

Walmart hired me when I was 15 and a resident alien. We pushed carts out in the hot & humid parking lot, wore little flimsy vests and pushed like mad. Tonight I wanted to get a new dog bed which I'd purchased at a Walmart in the inland empire a while back, but it all turned out differently. At this Compton Walmart the selection of dog beds was paltry (pardon me french), so I got groceries instead. Hummus, kombucha, boxed wine, goat milk, cheese, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, Roma tomatoes, cabbage, strawberries, coffee, chicken thighs, even a sandwich to heat up later. On the way in, a kid was using a robot to help him push the carts alone. I know he's not interested, but we used to do it in pairs, one to push and one to steer the column. We'd compete (of course) to see who could push the most. Danny would win. He looked like he was already in his twenties. I'd be a close second. We had fun. Anyways, this Walmart is good for groceries, but I don't know about all that other stuff. Will you really need it? Will you really use it? Or will it just find its way back from whence it came (China)?

I was here and they had no shooing carts inside the store. They had many employees doing nothing inside and no body cared about bringing shooing carts from the parking lot inside the store so, customers would use them.

If I can avoid this particular Walmart like the plague, I sure will there are tons of other Walmarts a few miles further to go to. No need to settle for a nasty environment where employees and customers alike are rude. This place is frequently low or out of stock on essential items therefore making hard to shop, especially when you're on a budget and trying to make ends meet. Today as I was at the self checkout area, I heard some lady yelling for help at the jewelry display. As the lady stood there yelling and cursing up a storm because she was fed up being ignored there were two employees behind me arguing over some bs. While I had my 7 month old baby with me and I thought, oh next time I'll go to the ones in Paramount or Downey instead. While I was shopping there was a tweeker near the personal care area cursing and talking to himself too. Yeah I can ignore all of that but if shopping is supposed to be therapeutic these type of people sure know how to make it stressful. THE End.
