Personally, with the current Doctor I have had very good communication, she has cared a lot about me, I only notice her a little rude now that I have time with her, about the girls across the street only once have I had problems that caused me to throw my notebook to sign up and I better turned around and went to the emergency room...now they come without an appointment I don't recommend them, they take a long time...plus there are days when the Doctor doesn't come and you have to call to be sure and about Doctor Nissan For me, the best Doctor I have ever had. I loved him very much, always with great respect and professionalism. I asked myself, do you want an excuse for your work or if you came with the children? Do you want an excuse for the children? Now it is a problem and I don't want to put anyone in harm's way alone. What people say is the truth and if people are rude it is better to change the people who serve you... because in reality no one is irreplaceable and customer service and efficiency is paramount... as long as they continue with people who have been replaced They foam at the brain and treat people badly, they are not going to progress.... They should put two or three Doctors for the Doctor, no, or she will go to extremes...

Worst experience ever. They called me to schedule physical for my 3 kids, when I arrive only my 8 year old was seen that my other 2 kids were not due for physical yet. I requested school notes for all 3 because I didn't take them to school because they were schedule for vaccinations which they didn't need and the lady in the front desk was super rude and wrote "not seen" on their note now school doesn't want to excuse absence. Worts attitude.

Doctor is great. Too bad the front desk staff have the decency of a chimpanzee. And the vocabulary of a broken jukebox. They should get fired. I 16 year old highschooler from McDonald's has better service. Maybe look into hiring someone who actually wants the job and won't give you the same look Jabba the Hutt gives.

The staff are very rude and aggressive. My mom and I both entered separately but was there at the same and they might’ve assumed we were separate but they were so rude. When we would ask them any questions they would respond with questions back. Left home feeling clueless because they never responded any questions.

Walk in's Welcome! You don't need to make an appointment, at least that's what they told my Mother. It takes a while for them to see you but it goes by fast. Receptionist is doing her job and is friendly from what I've seen from my previous visits.

I recently moved and chose South Atlantic Medical Group for my new primary care since it was close by and I wanted to get the more holistic care associated with a DO vs. MD. I called three times and left a voicemail twice to try to speak to someone, but they never called back. I assumed it was appointment based. It wasn't until the 4th time calling in a week that the receptionist answered and said it's walk-ins only. I went to get a physical done, plus get checked for my asthma and some GI issues. Since my asthma was acting up, I went the same day they answered. The lobby had no hand sanitizer in sight and I overheard a patient asking about the doctor who usually treats her and it turns out 3 of the doctors she used to see no longer work there. Later, I recognized these as red flags. It made sense once I got seen by Dr. Kahen. The intake forms didn't have a section for family history or past medical history, so I assumed the doctor was going to ask when I saw him. Nope! He asked minimal questions about why I was there, in a way that made me feel like I was bothering him for showing up in the first place. I told him why and he checked my breathing. Since I wasn't wheezing, he assumed I didn't have asthma, although I've had it since I was a child and I don't wheeze all the time. I told him what medication I'm usually on, but he didn't even know about the basic asthma control medication, which is a VERY common medication for asthma. For context, East LA and Commerce have a disproportionate amount of people with asthma due to the air quality, so I was extremely disappointed that he was so uninformed about the condition. He didn't even suggest a referral to a specialist or anything. I didn't ask for one at that point because I knew I could do a better job of finding one than he could. As for the GI issues, he said unless I was bleeding or bloated, I shouldn't be worried. Ah yes, and when I mentioned the possibility of IBS because I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, he said, "don't be anxious." How is that helpful!? Also, all he did for the so-called physical exam was take my height, weight and blood pressure. I haven't been this infuriated with a doctor's incompetence and lack of care in a very long time. Oh and did I mention he had his masked pulled down the entire time and stood uncomfortably close within 6 feet the majority of the time? I will not be returning.

Horrible clinic. Extremely unprofessional. Doctors and nurses were joking around about the Coronavirus. I came in because I wasn't feeling well. And while waiting n for the doctor, I overheard them talking about how a patient(most likely myself since there was only one other patient) was going to spread Coronavirus and what not. Joking about wearing masks. Someone mentioned what they should be doing and a short man with a mustache (Hispanic maybe a doctor) jokingly said they should eat comida China (cup of noodles). This comment was distasteful and ignorant not to mention racist. My bf who was waiting for me also mentioned they were being unprofessional to the other lady who was the. Fire the staff or shut this place down.

Worst staff ever!!!! I just come here because is the closest to my house. I asked the girl in the front if they were almost gonna call my daughter because they were taking forever, later I over heard them talking about me and laughing saying that I was impatient and that what the patient says does not count. Like what????
