The Qualex driver, delivering furniture to our neighbor across the street for Modani Furniture, parked in our driveway, blocking our garage, and then smashed into our front tiled steps and fled. Many calls to Qualex resulted in their sending an estimator, but they then decided "to go another way" (according to the estimator), which meant doing nothing. We'll be seeing them in small claims court, not because it's worth our time to collect small damages, but because companies should take responsibility for their mistakes and not just pretend nothing happened.

We were very disappointed in this company! I waited 6 months for a dining room table and 6 chairs I paid over $4800.00 (paid in full on October 1, 2021). Certainly not Qualexs fault but ended up canceling the order all together. The table and chairs finally arrived to the warehouse the end of February. (Unfortunately that's another review, but I did receive a refund on Monday) After reading all the poor reviews on both companies I decided to cancel the order. The delivery was scheduled for a Friday "the only day they go to my area" - how is this considered white glove service? Basically, they did not show up at all. This company has many complaints with BBB - and other on line review sources (Yelp, Google) After calling on Monday to find out what happened with our delivery I was given well rehearsed lines by "Jose" who said he was a manager and would not let us speak to a supervisor or anyone at a higher level. I am posting this and hoping the owner see this review, he needs to know what is happening to his business. A breakdown of last Friday: I was notified by Modani that "Qualex" will notify you the day before delivery and that "yes" you are on the schedule on Modani's side but we won't know until Qualex confirms 24 hours before. I have never heard of any business letting you know the day before because most people have to make arrangements. So I took the day off just in case... I waited at home from 10 - 7 PM on a Friday - receiving text updates all day of a "estimated time of delivery" and the "stop" or location where the truck was presently located. Finally by 6:10 the truck was at stop 7 and we were listed as stop 8. I get a finally text after 6:00 the truck was 10 minutes away. We do not start dinner and do not walk the dogs... Wait until 7:00 - No delivery. The next text at 7 PM I received a SURVEY! "How was your delivery" I called on the following Monday Talked to a Jose that stated he was the supervisor for Modani accounts. I told him the truck did not show up at all. He said he was told by the delivery person "Roberto" that he "knocked on the door send a photo of your house" "and you were not there" (The photo is I'm sure off the internet and timed at 5:51) and that "yes" the delivery guys were at your house and they sent a picture! Doesn't make sense, therefore not true! 1- We have 2 large Rotties that bark when anyone walks past our home, let alone a truck in front of out house. They would have been non-stop barking if anyone approached our home. 2- My husband also has "ring" on his phone that never alarmed. 3- The ETA of the last text stated after 6 they were on they're way...why is the photo timed 5:51? 4- The photo was from across the street. If you had a delivery why would you be across the street? They have rehearsed lines they use and don't make any logical sense. Good luck if you use them. I really hope the "owner" is aware - and can fix the issues with his company.

Modani contracts with Qualex Inc. for shipping/delivery. If there are any issues with the delivery, Qualex does not take any responsibility and you are given the run around. Both companies' employees and business practices are dubious! No clear business processes in place, no internal controls regarding the inventory accounting, no open chain of communication internally at Mondani or between the sales and delivery team at Qualex Inc. No one is checking on delivery crew performance. Furniture items disappear to and from the warehouse and you, as a customer, pay for the loss. Do not do business with Qualex or Modani!

Funny they call this joke of a company white glove, nothing full service about it. Not only did they show up at 9pm after I had taken an entire day off of work to wait for this delivery, but they delivered the wrong piece of furniture. How incompetent can one be when there entire job is to deliver to customers? Thank god this will be the first and last time that I will deal with them....

Worst company I've worked with. I was forced to work with them from the company I purchased from. 3 separate deliveries 3 problems Screwed up the address. Then when I talked to them they just decided they wouldn't deliver that day after I took off a half day. Next make up delivery- supposed to call 30 min ahead, didn't. Then broke stuff in the house upon delivery. And didn't complete the delivery. Then last delivery I called confirmed the had the correct address. Yet again took half day. Driver called " I'm 20 min out" no delivery. I called at 40. No answer again and again then over an hour later oh driver left. Yup wrong address again. The person on the phone was rude and said I'm sorry you'll have to take yet another day off work and reschedule. When I asked about compensation for their errors basically I got. Deal with it. Terrible. Just terrible.

Horrible customer service. I was told I can request a delivery window to accommodate my work schedule but that was a complete lie. The first delivery they were late past the 2 hour window they give and did not call me to let me know they were running late. They assembled my dining table incorrectly. They also left a lot of styrofoam debris on my floor I had to clean up.

We use to deliver wood pallets to his 3 locations he the owner John seemed very pleased but at the end he ended up owing us more than $15k his excuses when I would ask for payments were he had no money and couldn't pay up. Anyway I advise any other pallet company to not deliver pallets unless he pays right and there no credit what so ever because ppl like him don't deserve our small business. WORST COMPANY EVER or should I say WORST OWNER especially when it comes to PAY UP!!!!!

I called Qualex for a quote for a very large job and the person I spoke with was incredibly condescending. Letting me know that unless I was spending a lot of money on high end furniture they wouldn't be interested in the job. He literally said "if you're ordering from Wayfair then we can't really help you." Then asked to look at my website to see if I was a high end enough person for them to deal with.

This company was contracted to make a furniture delivery to my home on behalf of a retailer I did business with. Im disappointed to say that despite their warm and inviting marketing approach online, their actual service falls way short of the promises they make. Firstly, their delivery staff showed up 45 minutes prior to the time frame given on the work order. I can understand that they work on a tight schedule but 10 am means 10am not 9am. A customer should not be expected to accomodate a different time frame than what is agreed upon because I am certain they wouldn't have the same fexibility if the situation was reversed. I had to receive the delivery in my bathrobe as i was in the middle of getting ready for the start of my 10am-2pm window appointment. Not a big deal but time accuracy is important in business because it shows respect for the other party. Secondly, the delivery guys which appeared to be a father/son team were unable to place my item in the designated room because door hinges had to be removed to get item through the door frame. I have had 8 deliveries in the past 6 months with various delivery companies and none of the delivery teams or businesses had an issue removing door hinges to accomodate the space for proper delivery. In fact that is a very common practice when completing a delivery as items are often a few centimeters wider than most door frames. The CEO of the company attempted to charm himself into a conversation with me and I found that tacky and unproductive. I appreciate the effort to be charming but its not a good tactic when someone wants a simple explanation to the lack of service being provided. Charm wasn't going to get my item through the bedroom door but a trained and prepared delivery team may have. The CEO put the blame on the furniture store and stated that they instructed him not to remove door hinges. I called the furniture store and they stated that they made no such request and that all delivery service was at the discretion of the delivery company. I was able to remove the door hinges myself in 2 minutes but it was not pleasant to have to drag my very large furniture piece into the room on my own. Qualex, go the extra mile and train your staff appropriately. Having staff that has worked for you for 10+ years is irrelevant if they cant respect a time frame or perform simple delivery duties that most other companies would be happy to provide. I have given them two stars because despite the unsavory experience, the delivery guys were polite.
