3125 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles“Wow, awesome spot! Visually and esthetically beautiful place! Tons of nice spots in this shopping district. Amazing staff, and cool store. Jewelry making section with all the various gems/crystals. Tons of crystals, candles, sound bowls, books, and other related fun items. The staff is warm, engaging, and friendly. We felt like we were hanging out at our cool cousin’s house!”
“I went earlier today and I loved it. It was so beautiful and everything was so unique. I bought a really cool ring there and I can’t get enough of it. Along with some bracelets and a Dodger hoodie. 10/10 service and the people were so nice. Definitely going back and definitely recommend going there.”
“I've been here twice and I've walked out a few times with a bunch of figures. I wish I grabbed the Cell figure from there. Other than that, this place is really great and the employees have always been friendly. If you guys want figures for a reasonable and good price, I recommend going to this store.”
“Such a unique store with unique, fun and interesting merchandise. I'm so happy this mom and pop store has been able to thrive over the years as it truly is a favorite to visit in my town and it's terribly hard to be in business these days. They do such a good job with their Instagram page and promoting their awesome themed art shows and various art events. I love their annual pet show as always come home with portraits of my dog from the artists that attend. I love that you can order online. They helped out a lot during the pandemic. They are always so helpful when you go in too. This last weekend I went in to find some Valentine's Day gifts for family members and sure enough left with some fun goodies. Love shopping along Colorado And Eagle Rock Blvds.”
“Jesse was very insightful and helpful. His kind and gentle spirit was welcoming. The store is quaint and colorful with a wide variety of spiritual offerings to satisfy any religious beliefs. It has a little bit of everything I needed to create a sacred prayer space. I had been looking for the right Ganesha and I found it here! I'm thankful I found this place. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a peaceful energy. I hope you enjoy the store as much as I.”
“I LOVE this place!! I've never been able to get any Arknights merch even at anime expo. So seeing it here was so awesome. A lot of genshin stuff too if you're into that. I'm an avid cat girl fan and a LOT of the stuff they have here are cat girls so this place was literally heaven.”
“First, I'd like to preface this by saying I have never left an online review for anything. I'm just not that kind of person but the extraordinary service I received has been so far beyond the norm, I felt compelled to comment.
It started when I received a book I hadn't ordered. I felt sure a mistake had been made by a second-hand bookseller from whom I had ordered a different title. Fearing my book had been sent to the true buyer of this book, I contacted the Huntington Store (after hours, I'm quite certain) to inquire how we should resolve this error. I awoke the next morning to find an email from Lynsey Hand with the answer to the mystery. The book had been a surprise gift from my brother in Japan. (Yes, he is that great of a brother!)
I wrote to thank him and to recommend he take every opportunity to patronize this bookseller because I was so impressed with the packaging of my book against damage in transit. He recommended I write a review.
Over the years I have had numerous books, many collectibles, damaged due to inadequate packaging.
This book arrived wrapped in bubblewrap, cardboard, and packing paper in a sturdy cardboard box.
I have learned since 1.) it was packed by a lady named Emily (Outstanding job, Emily) and 2.) The Huntington store is not a second-hand bookseller but is, in fact, a beautiful museum with incredible botanical gardens.(My brother forwarded a Huntington newsletter.)
I can do without another visit to Los Angeles, but the next opportunity I have to visit Southern California, I plan on making the Huntington my destination spot and look forward to spending a liesurely day at this beautiful museum and its grounds and, perhaps, shake the hands of these two women who made such an impression as to prompt an old curmudgeon to write an online review.
Thank you, ladies!”
“Jessica helped me over the phone in securing a last available pair of AKILA frames. Being here in CLT and F.D.G.S. in LA - I couldn't have asked for better customer service and she was so accommodating! If all small businesses were run like F.D.G.S. - we wouldn't have such a demand for the big box stores! A++”

340 1st St, Los Angeles“Must visit in Little Tokyo! Precious business continuing history while updating their contents to what’s relevant to today’s audiences. Don’t forget to check out the second floor for old music cassette collections, handmade candles, and imported artisan goods from Japan.”
“Love this family of artists, especially ‘Mom’ Ofelia Esparza. She’s my hero! Patiently lived her life as a wife and mother. Attend med college became a teacher and after that was able to fully release her focus and time to ‘creating’. She’s proof that it truly is never to late to do the thing you were created to do! Bravo Ofelia! As for your studio and shop... I enjoy going there to take in all the creativity. The prices are bery reasonable too! Can’t wIttiñ you open again!”
“I love this store! I could spend hours perusing everything they have for sale. So unique and creative! Plus, it's connected to the La Luz de Jesus art gallery, that's always a treat. Short drive from the Griffith Observatory!”
“This is the best shop in all of Little Tokyo. Super legit, non-touristy at all, and filled with really cool books, prints, antiques and sculptures. The owner is great to talk to and is really passionate about the community. I now have a ton of recommendations for art and cultural events in the neighborhood! The store is cash only, so make sure to come prepared.”
“For years this shop was originally on second street. It was fully supplied with items for the kitchen, dining, and other Japanese items. This shop is much smaller, no room to roam around like the other shop, where you could ogle and awe at wares. The owner of this shop is helpful. They have an adequate selection of ikebana vessels from Japan unlike anywhere else in LA. The prices are average considering import costs. Overall this shop is an important mainstay in the Japanese community.”
“Amazing selection of records and other ephemera. My boyfriend got really into Gundam recently and I was so happy to find a first pressing of an OST for the second film here. Legacy businesses like these are what makes Little Tokyo special.”

946 Mei Ling Wy, Los Angeles“Wonderful array of gifts. Bought a candle (Apple, cedar wood and sandalwood) which has a wonderful aroma. Small candle and fairly pricey but I would consider it worth it. Nice selection of artwork, too.”
“Lots and lots of gifts to buy at this store. Very decorated and stacked. I came to Chinatown during new years and it's all filled in red! Bought a magnet for $4 in cash and the item was wrapped in a red envelope. Guy at the register was nice and gave me a business card when I asked what the place's name was”
“If you're looking for Body Oils, Oil Burners, Soaps, Lotions, and Skin Butters all handmade, then this is the place. They have so many fragrances, even those you find in Department stores and Malls. Did I mention that they also sale Reading glasses? Your One Stop Shop. There is no parking so I suggest you park across the street in the parking garage.”
“Had an amazing experience shopping at the Cathedral Gift Shop. From the moment they answered the phone, they were very receptive in helping me pick out the best wreath for my apartment. Because I was not able to see the wreaths in person because of COVID restrictions, the lady I spoke with on the phone texted me options of different styles of wreaths with prices. They were all very pretty! I ended up choosing this gold one because it matched best with my furniture. When I told her that I lived on the same street of the Cathedral, the staff was very helpful in accommodating me for a speedy in-store pick-up. I absolutely love my wreath and it's surely putting me in the Advent spirit! God bless all!”

Thanks Stephanie for everything!! Appreciate you”
“My kids and I love Simply Fresh. It's truly one of my favorite local stores. It's the sweetest little boutique shop with unique and timeless gifts. They have cards for all occasions, cute party decorations, the most adorable little section for baby clothes, books and stuffed animals, little trinkets for arts and crafts, and an array of feminine gifts from soap bars to aprons to cook books and more. Oh, and the variety of candles are endless. I just love this store. It gives cute English cottage aesthetic, and is always playing the best music - from jazzy rifts to French ballads. I also want to note that the people working here, especially the owner, are very friendly! The layout is small but they've made the most of the space so you may not initially see them or be greeted right away, but for me as a little bit of an introvert, that was absolutely fine!”
“First time shopping here. I had a little misunderstanding and wasn’t sure if it was my error or the store’s error. They were very kind and accommodating in resolving the issue and ensured customer satisfaction. I will definitely be back. Great variety for all price points and exceptional customer service!”

10842 Main St, El Monte“One of the best thing about this gift shop is the variety of things they carry from Jansport backpacks, hello kitty, minecraft, dragonball, naruto, pokemon, etc. Their prices are affordable and the quality of the merchandise is great! Would visit this place again.”

“I am so grateful to find this shop. It has a huge variety of items and I found all that I needed at very good prices. There is a parking lot too behind the store which is very convenient since parking is tough in this area. The customer service is excellent. I'm so pleased with the items I bought for myself and for gifts and a party! Honestly, I'll probably never go anywhere else to buy what this store can offer me! It was such a pleasant experience.”

“This is a beautiful shop for gifts, jewelry, home goods, and generally uplifting one’s environment. I always find way too many awesome items here. It’s my go to spot for gifts, feels intimate, and is so well curated. It also makes me happy to shop in my Eagle Rock neighborhood first!”
