Beautiful bookstore with some interesting toys, games and other little interesting items. The proprietor is a very friendly and knowledgeable man. His wife is an author and her books covering local history are available in the store, which I thought was pretty neat. We spent a good amount of time in the store perusing books and found a couple books of story collections with beautiful binding to buy and bring home.

Pretty neat store! Lots of books to choose from, more so classics and history. Had some other neat costume type items and my personal favorites were the calligraphy quills, leather bound journals, and wax seal kits!

My family and I stopped by in passing so we weren't able to stop by every shop here. But I did have time to stop in here and I'm so glad I did. The lady behind the counter was the sweetest. She even gave us fun little historical facts about Columbia and even told us about one of their haunted hotels (that I'm definitely planning to stay in next time I visit). This place was amazing and the staff is amazing. Almost forgot to mention I bought this beautiful book here too!

love this little gen in Columbia Historic Park. The shop keeper is a sweet and friendly lady who wear a pretty dress of gold rush era costume. Lovely little shop like a museum with many interesting 1800s stuffs (toys, books, costumes, souvenirs). A must go to place when you visit Columbia historic park.

Love this place. The owner is very sweet and personable. They truly have a variety. Had my 12 year old grandson with me and he loved it. He was able to look and gently touch and try things then bought a pocket watch. She told him about everything he was interested in. GREAT experience.

Columbia Booksellers has a great selection of history and historical how-to books as well as small antiques and collectibles. The owner also has a passion for the people and times of Columbia and loves to share with visitors. His wife owns Artificer's Exchange at the other end of town and sells period clothes, quilting supplies and related items. Her knowledge of the Gold Rush is equally outstanding and she, too, lives to share.
