“Grand Leader is something to look forward to! Prices are fantastic, and the quality and ratios are unmatched. The bread is always fantastic and fresh. Here, I’ve included a picture of what I get when I go during a morning: roast beef on Dutch with avocado, Asiago cheese, and an egg. People call me crazy, but this combination is out of this world! When you come here, you get a sandwich the way you want it.Also, for vegetarians, the veggie sandwich was my go-to for years. It is perfect.
Vegetarian options: The veggie sandwich is fantastic. And if you go before lunch, you can add egg to it for additional protein. So good.”

“I made a special trip to Vineyard Gate and I left with several bottles of wine and sake. This bottle shop made me feel like a kid in a candy store. I found a sake I haven't seen since a trip to Kyoto in 2019! I was super excited to encounter it again. The curated wine selection is also very good and i found bottles here that I haven't seen anywhere else--including San Francisco and Oakland. Alex, the owner, is very amiable, knowledgeable and hospitable. He also spins some good jazz records too!”

“This market is one of the best deli/grocery /produce markets that I have ever come across! I live in the area and I will go only to this market because of the deli sandwiches hands down #1 and they offer whatever you would like on it and they make it very special and specific. The quality is priceless and the flavors are amazing. I have been coming here for more than 15 years and I'm always blown away of the service/quality and the items they offer in their store. Their location is perfect because they are always on the way to where you need to go, whether to the airport or just around town, it's so convenient. I recently have been there at least 4 times during the week to bring food to the nearby hospital CPMC for my family members visiting from France and locally and their experience was off the charts. Rutily's market is the place to go for everything you need.”

“Absolute gem of the Castro! I’ll never tire of coming in here—every time I visit, I discover something new and fabulous. This place curated to the nines… Their natural wine selection is wonderful, their staff is deeply knowledgeable and makes great recommendations, and as someone who has been drinking alcohol less and less often, I actually end up coming in here more and more because their Non-Alcoholic cocktail and beverage selection is unparalleled!! Not to mention their amazing snacks and antipasto options. And did I mention they have adorable accoutrements and homeware gifts??
This place serves deep cuts across the board and is full of cool things to discover. “The only Sandwich I’ve ever been to where they put “too much” on a “regular sandwich”. But that’s the thing these sandwiches ARE NOT REGULAR. The sandwiches are hefty and full of flavor. The possibilities are also endless.
On this particular visit I got the #20 and removed the roast beef. It was a very good sandwich. The next time I might try it with the roast beef instead of the pastrami get a different taste on the same sandwich.

We were scammed 2 out of 3 times we visited this store.
(Not sure if the very first visit is a scam.)
The price is 50 cents higher than the market price and the change is 50 cents to 1 dollar less. At first I thought it was a mistake, but on my last visit I realized it was a scam.
We went there thinking this was the only supermarket nearby, but we were impressed by how they couldn't even remember our faces and started scamming us again. If you happen to visit, Asians always check their change carefully.
