We initially brought our elderly dachshund in for treatment for her back issues. After every single treatment by Dr Peggy she rebounded and had more mobility. When it was time for her dental at age 13 as a megaesophagus dog we had significant concerns for her treatment and recovery. Dr Peggy and staff took extra time to meet in advance with us to work on a safe plan. At the end of our girls life Dr Peggy and her team were compassionate and caring. I felt like the whole team cared as much for our sweet girl as we did. I couldn’t have chosen a better group of people to help care for our pup for so many years.

Disappointing, took my puppy in for his rabies shots. He is 7 months old. Paid for an initial evaluation. They didn’t check teeth, ears , belly and half way listened to the heart beat saying that it was good enough because the pup was moving and not positioned properly. I will continue my search to find the right vet, we just moved to the area. I would not recommend this place. Hopefully they turn things around.

Since our pup Patches became rear end paralyzed in Dec '22, we have been seeing Dr. Peggy regularly for aquapuncture treatments. I love the atmosphere and the hometown hospitality of all of the staff. Being a smaller clinic, the staff really get to know each patient individually and it feels very comforting to know our pets are well cared for. They offer a lot of different choices of treatments and medications/supplements that other clinics do not provide. The staff and Dr. Peggy are happy to share information to help educate us. And the best part is they have the sweetest office kitties that are sure to melt your heart. Thank you!

Dr Peggy has been great in our journey to figuring out how to deal with dog allergies! We love that she does a blood test in order to figure out whether our dog needs more of a vaccination before giving it. Her Chinese herbal medicine background is why we started coming! Great with our very loud lab’s anxiety barking as well. All of her staff has been so kind and helpful, we love all of you! Thank you

A very knowledgeable Dr. I trust them with my elderly pet who has chronic illnesses. There are less expensive veterinary offices, but I haven't been happy with their services. I know I can trust Dr. Peggy to give a correct diagnosis and the best, life saving treatments to my pet.

My GSD had ear issues. Vet literally glanced, no scope, she had no idea of what inner ear looked like, yet prescribed a 32 dollar injection. Next, she checked his testicles and proclaimed he had a specific testicular tumor. Specific. Notests, only Recommended neutering. A registered GSD. And all that by a professional who requires everyone to wear a mask, regardless of reports from CDC and WHO that the little blue masks are useless. I worked with horses 50 years and have seen dozens of vet exams. This was the worst I have ever seen.

If I could rate less then one star I wouldThis place treated my precious cat named Magnolia for Pyometra, I was charged $332 for the “so called” treatment. I was sent home with medication to inject in her and I was told that the infection would clear up & to make a follow up appointment in a couple weeks. I did just that, during the follow up appointment not only was I charged additionally for that appointment, I was also told she was healthy and good to go.(Please note: during the follow up visit with Sierra animal wellness center, not only was I told magnolia was healthy, but I could also breed her before her next heat and then I would have to get her spayed, so the infection doesn’t happen again)2 weeks later, magnolia is acting sleepy & not eating much, something told me to get her to a different veterinarian as soon as possible. so I decided to take her to “Mother Lode veterinarian hospital” in grass valley the next day.I had to make an emergency surgery appointment because magnolia almost died because the infection did not clear up,so not only was I charged from Sierra animal wellness for something that was not diagnosed/treated properly because she never had an ultrasound from her original diagnosis, I also had to pay double the price because of the emergency surgery at another vet.If I didn’t listen to my gut feeling and take her to Mother Lode Vet, my cat would’ve died within weeks.Completely ridiculous!!!!“Holistic” approach? Yea right!!Thank God for mother lode veterinarian hospital in grass valley. They are amazing.!!!100% blessed my precious Magnolia is alive today.

I cannot recommend this vet office enough. My chihuahua is not the easiest of patients, and these guys handled him so well! They're extremely patient, and did such a great job. Also their pricing is very reasonable compared to any other vet I've been to.

I came here looking for a holistic approach for my dog's medical needs... I'm very excited with the possibility of a better care without damaging side effects from pharmaceutical treatments. I also wanted to make sure his non-dog food diet was giving him the proper nutrition he needed. I loved that my big boy and his high energy didn't scare anyone away. They were all great with him! Plus love them office kitties.?

Mask NazisTo your response! No one asked us to put on a mask when we got there. Nor did the receptionist inform me that was a requirement when I was making the appointment. Also the receptionist told us to be there by 9am.Only when my husband and I was asked to go into a room was it told to us that we needed to wear one. At that time I told her very clearly we do NOT wear masks! Then after 10 minutes of waiting she came back and said the Dr. Will not see you if you don't wear a mask. We said that's fine we will go. She said then go!!!I didn't rip the cone out of her hand I took it firmly. And I didn't slam the door I left it open and she shut the door. Get your fasts straight. What is your Doctor doing now for her safety as the mask mandate is OVER!!!

They wasted my time. My dog's appointment was at 9am. I waited over an hour in the lobby area. Then told me after the hour that they couldn't examine my dog because I wouldn't wear a mask. The appointment was for her to be fixed...Not sure why I had to be in the examine room!

Dr. Peggy Roberts and her office team take care of my three dogs wonderfully. From teeth cleanings, wellness checkups, supplements and medications, and even nail trimming, it's all here. I recommend her highly.
