I've been very happy with my service. Previous internet services have been awful. I live where there are many tall trees and still get good service. Customer service needs some improvement but service crew are great!I'm NB d ?

These people don't answer their phone or return voicemail's. You can't set up a new service online without an error message. Are they even in business?

Increased my internet speed by 6x over the previous provider. Local company with A+ customer service. Located in Lake Tahoe and internet works great now!

I was an Oasis customer for about 10 years. First using the line of sight system and then for the last two years the "Roam" (cell based) system. The line of sight system had decent speed but the modem would freeze up every so often and being in a vacation home would leave us without control of thermostats and the security devices. With the "Roam" system we were getting 8-10 mps for $99.00/month and had numerous cell carrier/SIM card swap issues which left us down multiple times for sometimes a couple of weeks. I finally found another solution that was faster and more reliable. With only a few months left on the 2 year contract, and after 10 years with Oasis, they not only charged me $150.00 early termination fee but they continued to charge me the $99.00 a month until I returned the little cardboard SIM card. They claimed that AT&T would allow them to cancel the account with it but I seriously doubt that (what do they do when someone just stops paying them?).Anyway, their tech service people are prompt and friendly but usually can't solve the problem because it's a carrier issue. They finally refunded me the monthly charge after I drove all the way to Colfax to get them their little cardboard SIM card (I burned almost as much money in gas than the refund was worth but I didn't trust them enough to just mail it).If you can, avoid them.

What we have appreciated about Oasis Broadband is not only that they provide faster and less costly Internet access than the satellite provider (Hughes Net) we used before, nor that they are much more reliable than what we hear from other Tahoe Donner members about Suddenlink, but that we can actually get a hold of their service experts when needed, without going through an endless robot and waiting experience, and get knowledgeable hands-on individual help. I was truly impressed when, during the recent unprecedented winter storms that were accompanied with several long power outages, the Oasis service guys twice went well beyond their call of duty and re-established our service quickly, so our snowed-in guests were reconnected with the outer world. Not only that, they did what is almost unheard of in this world, they had the honesty to admit that, in one of these instances, the problem — which they immediately tended to and fixed — was on their, not on my side.

I’m in a HARD to reach location. Literally at the bottom of a ravine, mountains on either side of me, surrounded by tall trees. The realtor who sold me the property said Internet would be impossible to get. He told all potential buyers this. Long story short, Oasis Broadband brainstormed a way to get me signal, and it has been incredible. Fast and reliable service every day! Since I run an online business as a graphic designer, constantly downloading and uploading large files, I needed service I could count on. Oasis fit the bill like no other, and my family is very grateful! We stream Amazon Prime shows, link our phones to the WiFi, play YouTube videos, work with clients, and more, SIMULTANEOUSLY, all without the hassles other local providers have.During our Snowmageddon, as long as my generator was producing electricity, we had internet service. Absolutely invaluable!

Solid service considering the geography we face in Alpine Meadows and lack of wired internet here.Been a customer for 4 months and have only had 2 outages. Both were extreme weather related and were caused by Oasis' connection to the main Network.Their radio equipment at my home has been rock solid. It is very expensive relative to a major metro ISP but getting unlimited bandwidth at a reliable 50 Mbps down / 15 up via radio frequency in a mountainous valley to serve a tiny customer-base is no easy feat (from either a technical or a business perspective). They are supportive of both non technical users and techies alike (who want to use their own modem/router).I don't need 100% uptime, but I do use it for work, and I NEED to know when if an outage is caused by them or something wrong in my side and in the two very understandable outages we've had there has been prompt email communications about the status and ETA to resolve. In both outages the service was restored before the estimated time to resolve which creates a high degree of trust.Overall so far a happy customer.

Solid service considering the geography we face in Alpine Meadows with no feasible alternatives and lack of any wired connectivity in our area. (Suddenlink is on the other side of my street, but does not serve my address which is frustrating) Been a customer for 4 months and have only had 2 outages. Both were extreme weather related and were caused by Oasis' connection to the main backbone. Their radio equipment and setup at my home has been rock solid. It is very expensive relative to a major metro ISP but getting unlimited bandwidth at a reliable 50 Mbps down / 15 up via radio frequency in a mountainous valley to serve a tiny customer-base is no easy feat (from either a technical or a business perspective). They are supportive of both non technical users and techies alike (who want to use their own modem/router). I don't need 100% uptime, and I do use it for work (video conferencing), but I NEED to know if an outage occurs if its on their side or something with my equipment. In both outage situations I received prompt emails about the status of the outage, informing me of the cause and estimated ETA to resolve. In these cases I can just tether on my phone. Both cases were resolved before the estimated ETA to resolve which generates a lot of confidence that they take these resolution ETAs very seriously. Overall a happy customer. It will be very interesting to see their reaction to Star Link in the future, which promises greater bandwidth at a much lower cost via satellite. Star Link is still in Beta and may be 12-18 months away from full roll-out with 99%+ uptime.

I am having issues with my internet speed, essentially unusable at this time, I have been on the phone with oasis for hours at this point trying to resolve the issue, they do not call back or give updates on the situation, they don't seem to care about the impact of this issue which is affecting my ability to work from home, extremely frustrating to deal with.

No customer service. No one answers the phone. No one responds to email. Nothing. 1-star.... update ...I finally got thru to someone. She quickly and cheerfully got me back online, and solved another issue ("reset my password" so I could log in my Oasis account).Later, after hours, I got a call from Lydia. Like all the people I've talked to at Oasis she was very friendly and not just polite -- she seemed personally interested in turning me back into a satisfied customer (and -- to be honest -- getting me to update this review).Oasis is a small, friendly company doing good work. The "small" aspect is mostly a good thing. They are personable, and seem to care about every customer. On the other hand, it seems that sometimes, like today, they get overwhelmed. As for quality of internet service, overall, much better than the alternatives in Truckee, and in fact the only acceptable option. A big step down compared to what you can get in/near a major city, but that's to be expected.Advice to Oasis1. Fix your humble phone tree. press 1 does nothing but ring a few times and take you back to the head of the tree; press 3 takes you to sometimes to 3, sometimes to 2 (where, after 20 minutes on hold you are politely told you should have pressed 3).2. Make it VERY clear in an e-mail notice (in the subject line) if you intend to cut off a customer, BEFORE you cut them off. E.g.: OASIS ACCOUNT DELINQUENT -- SERVICE WILL BE CUT3. Answer the phone.(Background: My credit card was hacked recently, charges were declined, service was cut without warning.)

We have wandered through the Internet Wilderness for a long time before we found Oasis. Finding functional Internet service for our newly constructed home has been a challenge and we have investigated an array of technologies for our location – wired DSL and cable, fixed wireless, high-orbit satellite and various cellular connections. Up to now, these options have only offered expensive service, very slow speeds, and/or failures to connect. We were running out of options. Then we found Oasis. They are local, they have reasonably priced plans and they have very helpful staff. Oasis was willing to try out a variety of configurations to see what would work best with our existing equipment and our location relative to the connecting towers. The result has been a strong, fast and reliable Internet connection for our work needs and streaming entertainment. We highly recommend Oasis Broadband - This Oasis is No Mirage.

If I could give a zero stars I would. Worse sales/customer service I've experienced. Called and got a quote from sales lead Eric, after giving some thought I was planning to go with Oasis, then when i called back the terms of the deal drastically changed. Originally quoted $300 for install for a 3 year contract, then on the second call with Eric went up to $500 for install for a 5 year contract. Felt like a a bait and switch, when I asked how he could make up for his error he said basically said you're out of luck, we have 65 people waiting for service and hung up on me.If the GM would like to like to reach out me, please do.

Reliable service, affordable, speed that my gaming son doesn't complain about while everyone else in the house and their devices run night and day simultaneously, AND super responsive and kind customer service agents!? Oasis has got it figured out, and they have earned this family's loyalty and business for a long time.
