“Our car broke down 50 miles from town, we were 3 Seniors and a Lab. When we checked in the Man was very friendly, The next day there was another Man, and a Woman named Carrie, every one of them were extremely friendly and helpful. The Mechanic told us they needed to order parts and our vehicle wouldn't be ready till the next day. This Best Western is in LA Quinta, CA. we drove from Prescott Valley, AZ. driving to Santa Paula, CA. I asked if we could get a late check out. I said, because we didn't know if our car would be fixed the same day. We ended up renting a car, the Uber driver picked us up, ( Which Carrie helped my Wife sign up for). Never once did we get a snotty reply, or was told you have to be out at Noon! What we got was caring People that went out of their way to help fellow humans.”

“We walked through the Tommy Bahama hotel on the way to Grapefruit Basil to have dinner tonight. This hotel is very nice-looking and brand new. It reminded me of a Margaritaville hotel as it appeared to have the same kind of mellow, laid-back vibe within. I think if you're a fan of Margaritaville hotel chains, you'll like staying at this place.”

“Really nice, clean, well-appointed rooms. Pet friendly. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was traveling with a friend and used the pull-out couch. It's the most comfortable I've slept on. Plenty of conveniently located plugs, etc. Near I-10, but very good sound-proofing. Very little freeway noise in the room and none from the adjacent rooms. I highly recommend!”

“This hotel doesn’t look like much when you first pull in the driveway, but looks can be deceiving. I booked the superior lake-view room and it was so lovely I didn’t want to leave! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to any request. I was given a glass of some good tasting champagne upon arrival, the room was nice and cool when I walked in and it was way nicer than I expected for the price I paid. The pool is open 24 hours which I LOVE. My room included a tub, a shower, two sinks, a balcony with a stunning view and a very comfortable king bed. Very nicely decorated.”

“Staff was courteous, ground keeper's even said good morning. As old as this building is the owners did an excellent job of keeping it up...the only problem I had was a strong scent of cleaning chemicals upon entering the room, it went away after awhile so the issue was minor ? loved the dog at the reception area....the shower Pressure was perfect for me but may be a bit strong for others....”

“This is a pretty good holiday Inn express. Obviously, the brand is standardized, so you should know about what to expect. The rooms come with fridge and microwave at this location and the bathrooms are large but not huge. If you are a business traveler who stays here alone, you know what the breakfast entails. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast area setup. It's not their fault, the room is a shade that doesn't fit the standard equipment well.Rooms: My room had laminate floors, which was a little strange. Everything else normal.Walkability: You will need a car to get most places from the hotel.”

“Loved the beautiful landscaping. The setting nestled up against the mountains is stunning. Our suite had large lanai with fireplace. The resort is laid out so it feels intimate with several pools. We liked having onsite spa, comprehensive gym, tennis courts, and central village area with shopping and restaurants. Combine that with the incredible weather and responsive friendly staff made for a great stay.”

“I really loved the space in my casita #7! It had a large bathroom with a built in kitchen space and living room area as well as a bedroom with a VERY comfortable bed and closet space! I even found complimentary snacks on the countertop! So sweet! Stephanie from housekeeping was an ANGEL! She returned my items that I left in the casita after check out. What a lovely casita to stay in an excellent location very convenient to get to and from the airport and other resorts in La Quinta! The check in process was so easy with a text message and email containing the access code to check in without even speaking to anyone. It was very convenient and well organized, clean and spacious! Great value for La Quinta stay. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Palm Springs!”

“Very good for what we paid! Would recommend if you were in a pinch and/or on a budget. We traded some of our Welk Platinum points to stay here during the Christmas holiday (2023). It was not to the level of the Welk properties we have visited. But, it was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We traded at pennies on the dollar, so it was a good value.”

“Clean room, friendly staff. Tropics Motor Hotel is among the least expensive motels in Indio; the property's well maintained and cared for, noticeably so in comparison to its' competiors.”

“Rooms are spacious and modestly appointed, but everything works and the Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. This property consistently offers one of the best values available in Palm Springs proper. They’ve embraced putting guests in rooms, and it seems to be working. Check it out.”

“The room was huge. The bed was comfortable. They have a flat screen tv with Direct TV. HOWEVER it was hard to find the channels as I DON'T have Direct TV a channel list would be nice”

“The hotel has been under new hotel management since April 2023. Many of the complaints on previous reviews have been corrected. This was my first time at a multi-day festival at the Empire Polo Field fairgrounds. I was very nervous about my three-night stay at this location due to online reviews. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well lit, and safe. If you are looking for luxury, you will have to look elsewhere. If you are looking for a comfortable, budget friendly hotel near the Empire Polo Field this is the perfect spot. The rooms are spacious, the showers have hot water, the staff is friendly, and the facility is close to the venue. We were very happy with our three-night stay!”

“Nice, attentive staff on all shifts! Good variety for the complimentary breakfast. Good location to be near shopping and a quick bite to eat. The bed was soooo comfortable! Absolute heaven! My HUSBAND loved it and he hasn't been happy with a mattress in the 24 years we've been together!! We brought a wireless speaker to listen to music in case we needed to drown out outside noise from the hallway or the freeway which is nearby, but the room was actually pretty quiet. There was some kind of dog show in the area that weekend and we saw at least a dozen dogs during our coming and goings over the weekend, but didn't hear one bark coming from a room!It was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back.Walkability: There is a shopping center just across from the parking lot, Ross (had to buy a bathing suit in JANUARY so I could give the pool a try!) Big lots, Dollar treeFood & drinks: Vallarta market is right there in the shopping center to stock up on snacks and grab lunch and a margarita at the little cantina INSIDE THE MARKET!”

“Room was clean. Check in was a breeze. Upon arrival customer service was great... Which is saying a lot in this area from my experience. No breakfast... Coffee and tea packets. Wifi was good on my phone but spotty on laptop. If you're working remote I wouldn't recommend this place. Basic cable.. No guide though. No USB ports for TV. For the price a decent place. Had to ask for extra blankets since the heat was mid... But housekeeping provided extra blankets so that was ok”
