“Amazing shop for gems and minerals. Such a huge selection, very well labeled and organized alphabetically, selections even within the same stone type. I came in looking for jade, and came out with 3+ separate types of it.The store still uses like, a full-on printer to print receipts even when none is asked for, it seems like a major waste of paper and time, I hope they transition off of this. But it was a very neat store and the value was excellent.”

“So many childhood memories. It is so fun to walk through the studio, and then into the back garden. Everything is so beautiful and different clay animals everywhere you look. They will make items they don't have on hand, I got mine in 2 weeks. Amazing people, so friendly.”

“Sorensen Art Studio sits at the very fringe of Fresno, at the very end of Van Ness, up against the railroad tracks. Once a large warehouse operation, the building has been cut up into various spaces for artists of all kinds. And just as the building sits on the fringe, some of the art is on the fringe, too. You can find traditional watercolors and mosaics. You can view fabric artists at work. You can see photography of all stripes. And meet the photographers and hear their stories of various photos. For a long while, Sorensens has been opened to the public only on Art Hop First Thursdays, and that's not too bad during the late spring, summer, early fall months, when it's still pretty light out there next to the railroad tracks, on roads that have no stoplights, among many other large, perhaps abandoned buildings. There is just a frisson of danger. But that has changed. Chris Sorensen has turned the building and grounds over to a new manager who is going to have the place open every week, Thursday through Saturday, daylight hours--10 to 3. Meet the artists, experience their workspace, see their art, and best of all, buy a piece of local artwork. Fresno has a great community of artists. Let's support them.”

“This is probably my most favorite an ink rendering of an Iron Horse- I wanted to ask the artist why the art was named “Jupiter” but I was shy. And no I did not take a wooden nickel.”

“My friend was nominated for Mother of the Year. We wanted to honor her by coming to her celebration. The food, entertainment and drinks were spot on. The food was catered by Garza's in Sanger. It was yummy and plentiful. The current exhibit is so unique. Everyone should visit this local gem.”
