I’ve been coming here since I moved to Clearlake Park in 2005 and have seen many changes here and nostalgic memories created here from buying a Arizona ice tea and walking to the lake to grabbing last minute items that are close for convenience and this place has always remained opened and the same. I’ve always heard things that the workers have done and how people were treated but me personally, I haven’t experienced it, until tonight. I go there when the two owners are working and I run into my employee that is still in uniform the same as me grabbing some items. We talked and laughed while we waited for the customer in front to finish up and then when it was my employees turn, he put his items up and I followed with my items behind his and verbally told him, “don’t worry about it man, I’ll grab your stuff” and he then replies, “oh you don’t have to man” and I proceeded to pull my card out he then jokingly says “don’t take his card” as we are both laughing because we are racing to pay for each others stuff at this point when the lady (owner) decides to get serious and states to me very sternly “ I need to listen to the paying customer and if he says to not pay for his stuff then don’t “ as if I’m not a customer for one, and that she clearly can’t see that we’re joking and I’m trying to pay it forward. I ALWAYS pay for peoples things and am always helping people out and doing things out of the kindness of my heart and for her to act the way she did totally rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t leave many reviews, as for I know how serious they are but she did not need to act the way she did. Over something so simple, she completely turned it around and just made the environment dark. Both of the owners have seen me come into that store for almost 20 years and I know they know me and for her to act that way is just insane. She made me feel like I was committing a crime to pay for someone’s stuff and that my shopping wasn’t valued as she did say “I need to listen to the paying customer”. I regret to post this publicly, but it absolutely upset me and I feel it was not handled appropriately especially from the owner.

I like ther selection of items but the charged 12 cents for bags and wher really rude about it.

This store will always have the rudest people working. There is a couple that works together, and the lady is rude every single time I'm in the store. Whether it's me or another customer. Today, a customer was just trying to have a civil conversation with the lady, and she goes, "OKAY... GOT WORK TO DO".. If you can't handle people, maybe don't work customer service. The only reason why I'm giving them two stars is because the location is convenient... this review is about 1 month old. I went to the store today, and the owner tried pressing me about my review and tried to lie about what happened. They are VERY RUDE!! And can't handle the truth. If you have to go to this store, then don't talk to anyone and just leave. The old female dog that works there is a liar that has a husband that will lie also. "GREAT" for business.

The owner's wife is rude for no reason but with a smile on her face she said things like " don't thank me I'm doing my job" " we aren't new" " oh don't greet me" and then this afternoon " don't yell from the door". To which my response was " what does that mean?? And i stood rhere waiting for an answer but she just walked away from me. The actual employees are fine and even the owner himself is 99% of the time fine other than the time he told me I would be barred for life from the store if I ever bought another homeless person a burrito who is standing in front of the store asking customers for change that was weird. I get they probably deal with a lot of crappy people but what owner treats their customers like this for reason. I can't ask what I've done wrong because I've seen people in the store ask the owners what they did wrong and the owners responses have always been leave or I'll call the cops and make you leave for asking what they did wrong . I feel it is in very poor taste to treat customers that way and like I said she does it with a smile on her face so it doesn't on the outside look like she's being rude but it's the things that she says to your thank you and have a good day or the hi you give her when you walk into the store. They've lost another customer today. And if you see this and I hope you do please understand that it's not because your bad store or your rules are too strict even it is the way that you speak to people who have not shoplifted who have never been disrespectful or caused a scene in your store. Everyone deserves respect until they prove to you that they don't deserve it which I have never done. And I will say thank you and have a good day for the last time.

The wife has some serious insecurity issue. You can’t be polite or say hi to her husband otherwise you get kicked out. Not the customers fault that they have trust and marital issues. DONT GO THERE.

I have been going here for years, yet I get condemnatory looks from most of the staff. The convience is nice for someone living close by, but the price and atmosphere destroys any good of the experience. I would much rather drive down to any other store, no matter the distance, than give my money to this store.

I used to shop here very often. Sometimes more than once a day. Ever since covid-19 though, they've lost many customers including myself. You know, when no one is in the store and you're next in line and you're waiting for the owners wife to wipe down the counter and you realize you wanted to get something from the refrigerator with sandwiches and take a step past the 'tape threshold for safety' and you get rudely and assertively told to get back behind the tape even though you weren't going to the counter, that's when i have a problem. I was going to go buy MORE STUFF. I should've just set my things down on the floor and walked out. I've had a few of these outbursts from her and it's cost the store a customer. Rude rude rude rude. Not to mention it's cheaper sometimes to take a taxi to town to shop with some of their high prices. I do not recommend shopping at this store unless it's absolutely necessary.

I have been shopping at this little hole of a market for years, so has most of my family. It was a convenient location. Today, I started to walk in and realized I didn't have my mask on. Before I could turn around to go get my mask, the owner, (the wife of Ron) yelled at me "get out, you don't have your mask on!" The he chimes in "there is a sign right on the door" as if I was too d*** to notice. He was so rude, so was she! I have never been treated so badly by any store owner in this town! They did the same thing to my husband just the other day. We spend alot of money in that store, but NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!! Those two are the rudest couple EVER!!!! It's funny, my husband was their son's baseball coach. I was humiliated in front of all the other customers in the store. Scolding me like a child. It's not worth it to give my money to these people just to be shamed in front of the world. 40 years we have been shopping there and this is how we are treated. NOT COOL!!!!!! That is not how you treat people who are trying to keep you puny little store in business. WE ARE DONE WITH PARKVIEW MARKET IN CLEARLAKE PARK ON LAKESHORE DR. IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN GO TO ANOTHER STORE!

Employees are disrespectful. Have a disabled son and the employee told my son he cannot walk with his cane. This is very wrong. Maybe the employees should be taught how to respect those who have disabilities.
