Mostly, this is a good, well-stocked store. This week this had some good specials in their flyer, so I went today before they could run out. However, today it looked like they missed a delivery or three or four. There was no fresh corn. There was only one package of the meat I was looking for and it wasn't marked. Few of their other specials were marked. I was very disappointed. The store was full of employees, but no one "knew anything". However, I have used their pharmacy for Covid and flu vaccines and they were quick and professional

This Safeway has to be the dirtiest store in the Bay Area. Just gross , discarded food on the floors, wrappers everywhere, I doubt that they ever clean the floors , sticky mess. The management should be fired . I only go there in an emergency / LOVE the Safeway on oak grove road and Whole Foods too. This Safeway is a disgrace

This Safeway is right by my house and is my go to spot since it is convenient! I love the butchers in the meat department! I like to experiment in the kitchen and they are a big help! They are willing to help cut anything to the perfect size for me! This is so important because we are a small household and I'm the only one who really eats meat. So I need less. They are also so helpful when I pick up a new cut and need some advice on how to cook it perfectly. I love how the specialty cheese section has grown recently! There is a local highlight which I love! As well as some great new finds! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I did recently have a bad experience with a custom cake but customer service was amazing with helping to resolve the situation!

Seriously I try to love this store and I gave them another shot. Today I wanted to order some Chinese food, the deli workers were all standing around and the Chinese guy was busy making sushi. They literally would not help me, only he could help me. So finally after standing there for a while they called him over. I asked for some help. They went over and told him I needed help with the Chinese food.. Are you kidding me only the Asian guy can serve me the Chinese food? I reached out to the store manager and he refunded me my Chinese food. He was very helpful and assured me he would deal with the situation. I appreciate that

The sushi owner at this Safeway named Tenny Lai is a bad person. He has a wife and 3 kids, but I heard that he has a romantic affair with all of his female co-workers. He cheated on his wife behind her back. He would sleep with beautiful or ugly co-workers, it doesn't matter. He's very dirty and not an honest business owner. He also buys fake salmon, fish, tuna, and crab meat to sell to customers. Don't eat his sushi rolls because you will get sick, he does not use FRESH fish from AFC sushi!

This is one of the two Safeway stores closest to where I live and therefore that I visit most often. This Safeway is conveniently located within the same plaza where you could find a Boba shop and a bunch of other food establishments such as fast food restaurants, etc. The parking at this Safeway is huge and plenty, so I've never had an issue finding parking here. And the Safeway has always been clean, organized, and I've never had an issue finding what I need from this store. During my last visit to the Safeway, I found this gorgeously decorated area dedicated for scrumptious holiday treats, but one thing really captured my attention, and that was this tray of assorted cream rolls, which looked extra inviting and appetizing.

This has been my home Safeway for the last 2 years, but I've periodically have shopped at this particular store for the last 5 years. I shop at this location on average twice a week (maybe) because I can never seem to get everything I need at once. I'm always forgetting something. EACH and EVERY TIME I go into this store I say never again, but I'll be darned if I let racial profiling or micro aggressions stop me from doing everyday NORMAL things. When I first started shopping at the store I'd notice when I check out there'd be an additional look at my cart, if I went in the morning, someone on the same isle as me that was empty prior or an associate pretending not to look down the isle I'm on. I don't wear big jackets in the summer, or carry big purses. When I check out I normally check out at the register, but they're also times I'll checkout at self help. I'm going to share my experience with self checkout. I've even tested this theory and have receipts that will coincide with cameras that can prove what I'm saying. As long as other white people are checking out, NO ONE will be visibly present looking at the screens they are ALWAYS on the side talking to one another, and there are certainly NO associates are making rounds. I've stood back and watched this SEVERAL times. As soon as I go to self checkout, being a BLACK woman, an associate rushes over and then begins to either circle me pretending to all of a sudden work, or or heavily stare at the screen while staring at me and the cart. This NEVER fails! I've worked in retail about 20 years and was formally an Area Loss Prevention manager for a reputable retailer. I've trained store on racial profiling, I've trained on behaviors, and I've trained on what you should NEVER look for. A PERSON SKIN COLOR DOES NOT MAKE THEM A SHOPLIFTER! Black people ARE NOT the highest group of shoplifters! It's white people! So while you're worried about me, a person who's NEVER stolen a darn thing in her life, that person that reminds you of your aunt Karen, Uncle Kevin, or Mee Maw is robbing the store blind, but you'd never know because this store only looks at the color of your skin, not behaviors. I can describe each and ever associate who's offered this CRAPPY service, but I will get their name and add on this review. The crazy part is I have been in that store several times and have seen people fill up a basket and start loading their personal bags and casually walk out without paying, or come in select a case of soda and just leave, but NO ONE seems to care or notice. It's only shoplifting when black people do it, huh? I've encouraged my friends/family to also write reviews. This is absolutely ridiculous!

Gross. 9am on a Monday and the store was wrecked. Went to bakery to find an employee preparing food with no mask. She also lied to another customer when she asked if she could pay for a cake there. She was told no. Of course you can! Proceeded to find two more staff with masks off. Three missing masks in one trip. Won't be going back.

Went in to find donuts. They have a bakery, with a donut section, sh or ld have donuts right? 7 am. They had 2 donuts that were shriveled and looked old, thats it. Asked if they hd any ready or making any, nope. Ok fine, hostess it is, grabbed that and some milk, head out. They have self check out, its not open, around 15 check stands, 1 is open, line goes back half way down the isle way. I saw at least 15 workers in there, 1 person at the check stand. Grabbing prepackaged donuts and a thing of milk took over 20 minutes.

Always have horrible experiences here. The last straw was when I asked the cashier if I could get some quarters as a cash back and he flat out told me they didn't have quarters. He did right in his cash register!

This is the spot where I got my two shots of Moderna vaccine. An emotional time, a sense of freedom again. A historic moment in time. The staff in the pharmacy area were wonderful. Very kind, a good experience. Not crowded, a very easy process.

Not sure why the negative on this Safeway location. I haven't had any issues and have been coming here every week or every other week. I had to be in line one late evening to purchase multiple gallons of water and the gentleman at the counter was an awesome dude. Another time was in an afternoon and a different gentleman was awesome as well. Majority of the time, I grab what I need and ring the items myself. The location is not huge but the place is always clean.

I just came to pickup my groceries from the Drive Up & Go and the phone number just said, "A voicemail for this number has not be set up." I flag down the man collecting the carts and he gave me a dismissive wave but went into the store, I was assuming to let someone know but I didn't know for sure. Since he was so aloof towards me I decided to call the store myself and the lady that answered was also rude saying she would tell the drive up & go department, "To go outside or something." When she answered the phone the man collecting the carts was walking back to my car and when he heard me speaking to the person in the store he gave me two more dismissive waves and walked away. Why are your customer service agents so dang rude to customers? I was letting your store know a function was not working (phone number for drive up & go is essential, no?) and was treated rudely by both people I alerted. I really will think twice about getting my groceries from your location again which is unfortunate because Jaden was always so fast, friendly and efficient but I haven't seen him lately. You need people exactly like him working all aspects of your store.

Never had a great experience here. Always something or another. In my opinion there is no excuse at all why a grocery store at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday morning is out of bread items and wiped out of all large coffee creamers. Had 30 minutes to run a quick errand to get these essentials and Safeway completely wasted my time. Last visit watched a snotty cashier mock an older customer who had to pay with change and get upset that she was overcharged. Not to mention the entrance always smells like piss. Since we pay more here than Grocery Outlet and Foodmaxx, can't we have an experience at a higher standard?
