I had a package that was apparently a “big package” and they somehow couldn’t deliver it. So usps carrier leaves a notice. I fill out paperwork online to have it re delivered since it was eligible. The very next day today (6/19) I receive a text message just before 1pm saying my address was not complete. Huh. That’s so odd as I have a copy of my confirmation form with my address very clearly stated and of course I know the address on my package is correct, how else did I receive this form in the first place. So a few minutes past 1pm I immediately try to update on the link. Magically cannot update. I immediately call the number on the back of form. Get disconnected twice. Look up Clayton Post office number and call them directly three times. It rings and rings and rings until it gets disconnected again. Not all of us can make it to the post office during their very limited office hours, but I can at least call in during office hours.Clayton post office, are you even open? Do you even work? How can you operate as such? Worst customer service and worst service. If I could give you a zero or negative I would. This is not the only very below zero interaction my family has had from you. Do better! We all deserve better! ?

This is a really nice USPS store located in a nice, serene area in the Clayton Downtown area and next to a nice park, so the area was very green and surrounded by trees and plants. I went there on a weekend morning and pleasantly found that finding street parking to be super easy, and in fact there was a lot of parking available right in front of the store. I was able to conduct my business there and get in and out of the store pretty quickly. Definitely I would go to this USPS store again if I happen to be in the area.

I was so pleased with "Jim" at the PO today. I neglected to include a Space number for a Clayton address, and noticed it was held up in Clayton PO (after leaving Yosemite, then to Sac, to Oakland, then Clayton--all before Xmas!) I called Clayton PO, at an extremely busy time, and Jim answered, took the time to search, and located the package! The tracking info said it had been shipped back to my PO, which would've taken another week to get to our grandson! Thank you so much, Jim. You made another kid happier on Xmas!

Not very helpful staff. Instructions, when asked, are mumbled than being very clear. They assume that you know their postal process.

This review is solely based on the customer service received from Heather today. I have never received such uninformative answers when asking a question, and the lack of help and poor attitude left me shocked. I've never felt so inclined to leave a review and I'm seriously considering calling to talk to management, it was THAT bad. Hopefully, better luck next time... side note; I work in customer service so I know not every day is a good day and I do my best to treat everyone with kindness and respect. This was just unacceptable.

the employees are approachable, nice & energetic. eventhough we have this pandemic crisis they can still encourage people to smile with their warmth greetings. Especially the lady she's nice to everyone. And every person who comes in were all happy to see her.. Their place is so clean. Best Branch of USPS. I went to diamond boulevard their place is dark and too narrow for people. And the employees look irritated you can tell with their voices. ugghh! Im glad i went to Clayton branch.. thumbs up!!!

Wow! I was surprised to see such a range of stars for this USPS site. I can fairly give it three stars. I had eight packages to mail for Christmas, and they needed to go out on a Saturday. My closest USPS office on Treat Blvd. in Concord is closed on Saturday. My options were the main USPS on Meridan in Concord, Clayton, or Oak Grove off of Ygnacio. I had less traffic to fight to get to Clayton so off I went. I was expecting a long line and was happy to find only a couple of people ahead of me. The queue was a bit confusing. A few customers were more or less lined up facing the main counter which had only one of its two stations open. But there was another counter in the corner of the lobby where a second clerk was working. He was behind the line and surprised a couple of us when he said he would help the next person. A "line forms here" sign could have been helpful. But once I made it to the counter, I found the service was courteous and efficient. What more could you want during the holidays? I get so frustrated by the lines and service at the Treat Blvd. branch that I will consider driving a bit farther to Clayton in the future even during the work week.

I've always had good experiences at this post office. It's our neighborhood USPS so I've been stopping by fairly frequently in the last 6 months. The people that work here are very friendly, and it does seem to be about the same 4 people that work everyday, probably due to the size of the place. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is I did run into some issues when trying to apply for a passport for my daughter and renew my passport. You have to sign up for an appointment online to go through your application(s) with someone, and it was frustrating because the information that I found online (some of it was directly from the USPS site) was not the same as what the rep went over with me in person. For example, you have to put tracking on a new application. They require it, although on all the websites I found, its supposedly an option, and of course cost an extra $20 or so (I don't remember the exact cost right now). In the end, I think the new application cost a very significant amount of money, around $180. Which was about $60 more than I though it would be when I was planning everything ahead of time. And this was just for the new passport--not including the renewal. I think it's just the natural beast of getting a passport, but it still was frustrating in the moment. Otherwise, great post office!

Very unfriendly, unpersonable and unfriendly staff. I came there to give them a parcel locker key because the lock was broken. A man came out in a rush and suggested I try to unlock it again later my fingers were red from trying to get the dang thing open. He was not listening to me and I dont even trust that I will get my package
