Very disappointed in the current desk staff yesterday afternoon who was training another lady who by nature seemed very nice. The older employee training her was NOT nice to my child at all. Like she doesn't know how to deal with children, and people like that should not work at a library. The way she was with my child should not be done to ANY child. She didn't give my child a chance to answer himself a question, let him ASK a thing or to explain to him what a treasure hunt even is besides telling the lady being trained who asked my child very nicely if he had finished the treasure hunt as well -while my child wanted to ask what he could do to get something from there- the employee training didn't give him a chance to even answer but Answered loudly to the lady herself saying "NO, he did not. he is just curious. The treasure hunt will be all month" while shutting the thing in his face and dismissing him walking away from him. I watched and heard it all myself from the bookstore and HELD myself from telling her something myself and we left. I work with children myself, if it wasn't my child being talked like that but another I'd still feel and think the same way. I have been taking my children since they were babies and toddlers to this library. No one else has ever been rude like this inside the library as guests or employees until now. She definitely gave me prejudice looks and vibe since we walked in. Walking out she made it very clear she is not the type of person you'd want working at a library. The one that looked like she was getting trained was very nice and seems like a person you'd like to see greeting at the front desk at a library .

Clean and can be a good place to study! Sometimes ?? I only say this because I do think the front desk does somewhat neglect their job in operating a library. My assumption is that a library is supposed to be a place of quiet for uninterrupted learning. I have had multiple experiences where kids treat this place like a playground and nothing is done. Liberians talk at full volume as if they are in a conversation at a restaurant and really do not enforce rules you’d think a typical library to have. I wish they did, because this place would easy get 5 stars from me, but unfortunately this is the current condition of operations here. I hope you guys fix it!

Great place for studying. They also have the option of picking up books from other CCC libraries that are set on hold for you. Only thing that sucks (especially when doing a long study session) is that no food or drink are allowed.

Love this library. If they do not have what book you are wanting they can have it shipped over from another Contra Cpsta library. Many great children's books and activities to entertain while an adult can search for their books.

What a great community library in Clayton. The library was clean and organized, and it seemed to be well stocked with books and movies that people could borrow. I also liked the fact that they offered a lot of chairs and tables for people to sit at, whether they'd want to read books, whip out their laptops to work or do homework. They also have a "teen" or "young adult" section where you would find a great selection of manga/Japanese comic books. The library staff were very nice and helpful. I just created my library card the other day, and the staff was very patient and friendly. I would definitely go back to the library to borrow some books and movies.

Two kind members of the staff helped me print documents from the computer and transmitted to the printer. They were very kind and patient with me. I very much appreciated their help.

Came here hoping for a quiet place to study unfortunately there were screaming kids which made it very difficult. I put on my AirPods but again the kids were very loud. Came back a few weeks later again to study (AirPods charged and ready). Unfortunately the art and wine festival was going on and that takes precedence. There was absolutely no place to park. I pulled out front and asked inside if there is some place I can park to use the library and was told no, these events only happen twice a year and to come back another day.

This library is a gem. It has comfortable seating, views of nature out the many windows, plenty of books, interesting and changing exhibits. I have never had a problem finding a place to park. Seems to be surrounded by walking and biking paths. The staff is helpful. A bit of a drive for me, but worth it.

That's a quiet place for studying. This place is not busy, so you can enjoy your time even for long hours. I was working with computer, and they extended for hours, so I finished my job. Thanks for your service.

Librarian there is extremely rude. Blonde older lady. Very snarky and sarcastic with extremely rude remarks to me asking a simple question.

Such a gem at the cusp of Concord and Clayton. This library is well maintained. It is clean and organized. I appreciate the librarians there, super helpful! Ample computers there for use. Easy to find books, CDs, DVDs...anything you may be looking for.
