John is running one of those businesses you wish other auto services should learn from. I have a 2017 Prius and took it to Toyota for a check up. Toyota wanted $400+ to clean the fan and change the air filter for the big battery!?!John quoted me $120. First positive is that he showed up on time.Second, he vacuumed the filter, showed me the fan is clean, and put it all back as a courtesy, no charge!Third, he gave me some advice on another issue I was having with mice in the car. I'll be calling Swell Hybrid the next time my Prius needs service.Thank you John!

I highly recommend John for his exceptional skills as a hybrid vehicle specialist. If you have any issues with your hybrid vehicle, especially a Prius, he is the go-to expert. His technical proficiency, honesty, and professionalism make him the best choice for any hybrid car-related needs. I couldn't be happier with the service I received, and I'm grateful to have found such a reliable and trustworthy expert!

John is very professional, showed up on time and was very responsive from the very beginning. He came to change the inverter coolant pump. He still checked to make sure it was the only code and he was done within the hour. Will definitely recommend him and will be contacting him again for any future work.

John is the best! He revived my dead Lexus HS250 as soon as he was able to. A fried inverter was needed to be replaced. John found one and swapped it in as soon as he received it. He communicated with ETA's often so I was always aware of the time frame. Thanks John!!!

I agree with all the 5 star reviews. I found a new go-to business for my Prius. Swell Hybrids (John) fixed my 2nd gen Prius (250k miles, error code p0a93 - inverter power pump). Other highlights: Mobile service. Good communication. Useful maintenance information about my car. I highly recommend Prius owners bookmark this business.

John was great. He answered all my questions when I was shopping around. He came to my house and replaced the battery on my Camry and got it back to running again. Highly recommend his services! Plus his prices for a NEW battery is very reasonable compared to the rest.

I am very satisfied with the service I received by John. My Prius hybrid battery fan was clogged which triggered the message "cooling performance of the hybrid battery is low consult a dealer". I contacted John and agreed on the appointment time. He came even before the agreed time, did the job quickly and perfectly and his fees was reasonable. Thank you very much John. You will be the first I'll check with in case I have any issues with my hybrid car.

I have a 2004 prius and in the last year have been getting intermittent issues with the dashboard electronics and the car not able to shut down properly. I've done youtube workarounds in the past, but this last week nothing worked. Doing some online sleuthing, found out it was most likely a bad combination meter (change the capacitor on the control board) and needed repair. We looked and it showed that we can do it ourselves if we are somewhat DIY handy but have to take off the dashboard and also solder. It was definitely not worth our time and effort and I'm sure it would have taken us forever to do it, let alone breaking something or losing something. We found Swell Hybrid online and contacted John. He came the next day and fixed this issue in one day with a lifetime warranty! He was super friendly, very knowledgeable (and even helped diagnose other code issues) along with providing us insight into the typical wear issues with this older generation model. He also helped properly seat our 12volt battery (which we installed ourselves a week before), that was loose to the connection. The price was so reasonable and I cannot recommend his service enough! Half our friends have prius', so I am definitely going to share this company's service in the future. He also installs catalytic security plates, which I wish I would have known about as I would have also done this during our appointment.Services: Electrical

My 2010 Prius has 262k miles on her. The original hybrid battery was replaced 26k miles ago by another company using the 'refurbished' battery. When it failed after 16 months I found John. For a few hundred bucks more I got markedly better customer service, more knowledge and way better personality, a new fuel pump, and a brand new hybrid battery with full 3 year warranty. My only regret is not finding John initially. You will not be disappointed with Swell Hybrids, I promise.

I had to get the combination meter on my 2009 Prius repaired. John came to my location, fixed it in an hour, and I was driving the car again that afternoon, and I barely had to leave my house. I hate dealing with car stuff and this was super convenient and great service. The price was exactly what it said on the website. Thanks John!Service: Electrical repair

Wow - super impressed with John's work. Fair price. Very quick service. Good communication. I'll be calling John for all my Prius electrical issues from now on. My combination meter was on the fritz - blank speedometer & odometer, car wouldn't turn-off, back-up cam now working, etc. It's a common issue with older Priuses. It's a tough DIY fix, since you need to remove the entire dash and solder a new capacitor on a circuit board. Most auto repair shops would charge $1k+ and probably break your vents or dash in the process. John charged $375, came to my house, and finished in less than one hour. No broken vents or damaged dash either. My Prius is working great now. Thank you John!
