It is my “go to” place for gifts of every kind from candles to cooking equipment. After making a careful selection, the gift wrap is done with such care. I always feel that the recipient really “gets” the thought that has gone into the gift. This little store in the heart of Claremont represents the very best of what a retail store can be…innovative, community minded, relational…all the wonderful attributes that make Claremont the delightful town that it is.”
“A very beautiful Buddhist store! A lots of Buddhist gifts and other spiritual items. There are not many Buddhist stores nearby but this store has almost everything. Support this minority owned store and share their love and passion for their products, culture, identity and heritage. The owner family is a Newar ethnic from Nepal and has many stories to share with the customers.”

“People who love high quality kitchen goods, rejoice! The Hens' Kitchen Shoppe does an excellent job curating kitchen, baking, and home goods that are hard to find elsewhere. While they keep some essentials in stock year-round, I always look forward to see what they display every season and holiday. I brought a fellow bread-baking friend who visited the area from out of town, and we each walked out with the cutest reusable bowl covers. Highly recommend for finding thoughtful gifts and supporting a small business!”
