I don't have enough words to say that accurately and completely describe my gratitude for Seth's teaching in my life. Seth taught me for many years, and I sought his teaching at various points in my musicianship. He planted seeds in my brain that would later bloom as I began to study music in college.
Seth is a fantastic teacher: I was always provided with enough fundamentals to do the heavy lifting required to progress on the instrument, encouraged to explore my own musical tastes and learn songs I loved, and was always taught with a patience and understanding support that gave me the confidence to push through the awkwardness of expanding my ability on the guitar.
For me, his teaching translated into much more than technical proficiency on the guitar and an understanding of music theory. Seth taught me what it means to have music as a companion in my life and gave me the tools to discover what that looks like for me.
I highly recommend his teaching to people of all ages and styles; he is truly a once-in-a-lifetime teacher.

Seth is an excellent teacher. He not only helped me learn to play what i wanted at the beginning, but helped me explore new horizons whenever I was curious, metal, blues, flamenco…I ended up playing the classical guitar more than the electric. And most of all, he helped me with my anxiety surrounding playing in front of people.

I first found Dr G on Yelp and I started out with electric guitar lessons in person but moved to online teaching after about a month. Over a few months, Seth has been patient, observant, and knowledgeable. He teaches at a pace that works for me and is always available to help me. I haven’t had many teach me the way he does because he’s so accessible and it let me learn quickly. I’ll continue to recommend him to family and friends. In the span of a few months keeping consistent he has taken me from not knowing the strings of a guitar to playing my favorite song (while singing it too!). I’ll continue being a student of his for a long time to come and it’s clear why he gets such good reviews.

One of the most challenging aspects as a beginning guitar player can be knowing where to start. I have had lessons before, but unfortunately, so-so experiences until a good friend of mine recommended Dr. Seth Greenberg. Without a doubt, I am so glad he was recommended! Seth is truly a wonderful instructor. He made me feel comfortable and made learning the basics easy. I love that I didn't feel rushed or pressured to move on to the next lesson plan until I felt comfortable to continue on. He's very patient, funny, and made me feel confident playing the guitar. I've had previous instructors move on too fast to where I felt I couldn't catch up. And if I had to backtrack, it almost felt like an inconvenience to refresh or review a previous lesson. I feel Seth values his students and ensures his student(s) take away an important learning experience, especially a unique style. I was so excited to learn strumming patterns, fingerpicking patterns, 12 bar blues, finger placement for chords, guitar scales, major triad positions, and he had me pick 2 songs I loved and wanted to learn to play.
I wanted to learn to jazz, and he made it happen!!! Dr. Seth Greenberg is awesome, and I highly recommend him for ALL AGES!!!

We asked Seth to play for our wedding in December 2016. It was a pleasure. Communication with Seth was a pleasure. He was fast to reply and easy to talk to. He played all the songs we requested. He came on time to set up, and his music was great. I would love to do more business with Seth in the future for other events. Thanks, Seth, for making our wedding more special.

Dr. G has been providing guitar lessons to my 2 teenagers for the past two years and it has been amazing to see how they have progressed! They each have their own musical preference and Dr. G accommodates each style into their individual lessons. He started out notating their chosen songs with guitar tablature so that they could easily identify which strings/frets to play. As they’ve progressed through the years they have advanced to learning to play music by ear. When ready to move onto a new song, Dr. G advises that they listen to the song first and attempt to play it on their own to develop their listening ears. He then spends time going over each song during their lesson to ensure they are playing the correct notes and works with them on timing. He gives advice throughout the lesson, such as slow down the pace of the song as you play along, to master the notes and achieve muscle memory before quickening the pace. We’re very happy to have Dr. G as our guitar instructor and would highly recommend him to anyone interested in taking guitar lessons!

Coming to him after five years of lessons. Seth identified areas that needed improvement and set about putting together a program to address those deficiencies and to reinforce my fundamentals. As we have worked together over the past several years, i’ve not only built up a repertoire of songs but learned the basic theory necessary for soloing, improvisation, and playing creative leads. With his impressive skill set and endlessly patient teaching method, there is no limit to where he can take your playing.

I have been taking guitar lessons with Dr. Seth G. online for about two years. Seth is a great teacher, experienced guitar player, educated at the highest level, and author of several books of the highest quality and depth on music for guitar, on music in general, and about other musicians. Seth's online one-on-one lessons are a delight. Seth is a rare find of an educator of such caliber, dedication, and focus on the fundamentals of music, its structure, performance on the guitar, and understanding the learning process everyone has to go through to acquire and internalize new knowledge, skills, and perceptions. Seth always engages with a positive and encouraging attitude. Even when I lack confidence or quality in demonstrating the material covered, possibly multiple times in the past, Seth provides sound, rational, calm, inspiring, encouraging, and helpful feedback. I am excited to have connected with Seth as my instructor. I have learned a lot, and I am confident Seth can provide even more as I put in time and energy in learning about music in general and guitar in particular.

Both of my daughters took guitar lessons from Dr. Greenberg at the tender age of 7, and it was a wonderful experience for both of them! He is patient and supportive, gently building confidence and ability while fostering a general love of music. Seth is extremely knowledgeable of many music genres, and he encourages students to play what they enjoy. His passion for music is inspiring and contagious!
Aside from being a wonderful teacher, Seth is also a great person and an AMAZING guitarist! We make it a point to hear him perform whenever we can. I just can't say enough about him!

Dr. Seth is a fantastic guitar instructor! He is kind, patient, encouraging and explains concepts in a clear and easy to follow manner. Additionally, he takes time with students to ensure they are developing good habits (e.g. counting, posture, practicing slowly) and if needed, helps students to unlearn bad habits. He is flexible in his approach and incorporates the student's musical and song interests into his lessons. I highly recommend Dr. Seth for anyone who is looking to start learning guitar or wants to improve upon their skills. 10/10!

After noodling with the guitar for over a year, I decided to go with Dr. Seth for my first formal lesson. I couldn’t have been more satisfied. He assessed my knowledge to see what I already knew, and was able to start me at the exact level I needed. I am excited to return for regular lessons. He is super knowledgeable and articulate. He explains concepts and the reasoning behind them very clearly. I felt that I learned more clear and valuable information in one hour with him than from watching 10+ hours of YouTube guitarists. You’ll be glad you took his class.
