Kudos to this Arco for offering alternative fuel. One of the very few stations that is making available other fuel options for us regular drivers. This is our go to station for the Flex Fuel Ethanol blend. It's the E-85 on the yellow pump. They don't carry CNG (Clean Natural Gas). I don't know why it is taking other gas stations so long to realize they need to step into the new era of clean energy. They know we finally realized that we have been bamboozled and their gig is basically over.
Unbelievable the government still has not regulated this dirty and greedy industry. It's really embarrassing that our government had the USA stagnated for so long. Not letting technology advance by keeping it unavailable to us. Our country is considered the leader of all nations! Why is our government making us look worse than a third world country? Our country is 200 years old and our government has not evolved much.. seems like they're still living in that era. I love our country and it breaks my heart to see us not flourish and just keep falling behind. It's obvious our government has forgotten they are responsible for the welfare of our country and its people. The decisions they make should be for the advancement and benefit of all. But for the past Four Decades it seems like the government is the only ones who have been advanced and benefited!!!

This Arco station has a VERY RUDE and UGLY cashier at night that was very mean. As I walked in the cashier was throwing me and my spouse dirty looks. I came on 4/11/24 around 11:05pm I had an emergency. I really needed the bathroom due to my stomach ulcer and this RUDE cashier did NOT allow me to use the bathroom. He said it was closed. He is a HORRIBLE UGLY man I told him it was very urgent and he still didn't care about my feelings. I believe he is a RACIST. I had to go to Chevron gas station and there a very nice cashier allowed me to use the bathroom. She was kind unlike this RUDE and UGLY guy at Arco.
Also the store looked dirty.

Arco in Claremont offers competitive gas prices and convenient services. The station is clean, well-lit, and features easy access pumps. Staff are friendly, making quick stops efficient. A reliable choice for fueling up, but the on-site amenities are basic.

I went to this location today...12/22...right after lunch hour. I have an ARCO pump pass card for $25. I used $10.04 last time here at 701 E. Foothill Claremont CA 91711 (been coming here for years) on 12/5...which left $14.96 still left on my card. Today I scanned the card and it said a balance of $14.96. Pump was not working right...it took the credit off the card but gave me NO gas!! The Mgr said only option was to call a 1-800 #!!!! I NEEDED that gas...what a SCAM. It is now happening at several ARCO stations....BEWARE!!!! The 800# given to me is bogus cannot talk to ANYONE.I will NEVER go to another ARCO station again anywhere!!!!!

Very bad experience haveing employees accusing me of stealing gas which i wouldn't know how to unless you're invisible. I go to #12 pump. Went inside to pay clueless cashier who was probably in on it as well. Go back to cashier twice because pump would not zero out which
means braindead cashier never put 25 dollars on #12. This representative who was in plain clothes had the audacity to say "you already pumped your gas" and "im on to you" and "I see how you guys work" and that's when I started making a scene by saying "Hold on a sec here" like 3 times because this character kept pacing around store and ignoring me so I cornered him a few times and me saying "you and your cashier need to figure this out because I'm not leaving until this manner is resolved Right Now"! Finally after a few more laps around the store "Mr Arco" said "here go and take your gas this time but I have a cameras" so I said "check them now" and he proceeded to walk away and me calmly pumped gas in car! Never in my intire life time going to gas stations since i was 17 (soon to be 59 yrs old) have been so isulted, not to mention "Livid, " and humiliated like that I'd hate to see him treat other shaven head looking customers. I'm not a violeht person but I sure felt like choking this judgemental idiot out for the count! Not a way to run a business let alone be a representative for a fine establishment. SHAME ON THEM!

Pump wouldn't work after I put $40 on my card. Attendant and then, Abdul, manager refused to issue a refund. He also refused to pump the gas on any other pump. He kept telling me I'd get a refund. I wanted a receipt stating such. He refused that. HORRIBLE customer service!!!
