I came here today because I was in the neighborhood, and needed to pick up a few things before heading home. I've been here several times before, and liked their selection. I would probably shop here more often, but its just too far away, and I generally hate driving down Sunrise Blvd on any day, at any hour. This updated review strictly pertains to the customer service I experienced today. I was looking for lemon juice. I walked around the produce section, and a couple of other aisles, but I couldn't find it. I passed by an employe...older African American man. I asked if he could help me find lemon juice. He seemed cool at first and told me to follow him. He takes me back to the produce aisle to the shelf near the liquor aisle. He gestures towards the aisle, and I look over to where he's directing me, but I only see just lemons, not the juice that comes in the containers. Like two seconds TOPS I'm looking where he's directing me. All of a sudden, he gets real irritated and says, "Common man! I gotta walk you over there?!" It's just came out of nowhere and was just unnecessary. He walked with me a little closer, and I see that where he was gesturing to was a bottom shelf that was directly behind a wide pole. From my original vantage point, there's no way I could have seen them. It shouldn't have been a big deal, but the employee was such an @$$ about it, I just left there irritated. Look, we all know not to expect top flight customer service from Walmart. That's not to say I haven't before, but it's not something I've come to expect. This guy was just out of line. He took a situation that shouldn't have been anything of note and chose to turn it into one by just acting like a jerk. Dude needs to work somewhere where he's not interacting with the public because no one wants to deal with that B.S. This is why Winco is my go-to grocery spot.

Had a cart with a few items in it, including things that were purchased at a previous stop. I left my cart for literally two minutes to go to the bathroom to find the cart gone, sending me in a frenzy all over the store to look for my cart (including the stuff I'd already paid for). Cart was finally found at the front of the store while 3-4 people got on my case.

Normally, many Walmart reviews does not get any higher than a 2-star rating. And this is based strictly on many factors including customer service, availability of food/merchandise, and cleanliness of the store. However, this "Walmart Neighborhood Market" located in the heart of the Sunrise Marketplace in Citrus Heights is fairly decent as I've actually been able to pick up my standard foods while making my shopping experience a positive one. I don't come to this location often since I live closer to the bigger one on Auburn Blvd. but if I am doing shopping in this area, I will come by to pick up a few things. To those that don't know this, their Neighborhood Market locations are trimmed-down versions of their Supercenters and are dedicated supermarkets that don't offer apparel, electronics, home decor, toys, office supplies, and a pharmacy. They do offer much of what you'd find in a typical grocery store including medicine, cosmetics, pet food, greeting cards, toiletries, and household products. The parking lot is quite spacious as the store itself is close to a "Noodles & Company" as well as a "Cost Plus". Additionally, this location offers a very convenient grocery pickup area (at the rear of the building). Finally, the offer generous hours of operation being opened 7 days a week from 6am-10:30pm and even open on major holidays. As convenient as this location might be, I will say that there are several food items I don't usually purchase here. Most notably the produce can truly be hit or miss as you can find much fresher fruits and veggies at nearby "Sprouts" (at Sunrise/Greenback) and "Trader Joes" (at Sunrise/Madison). I also wanted to point out that the meat/seafood is not of the highest quality. For many people, the food choices here are just fine so it really depends on personal preference. Finally, the overall temperature of this store is downright cold. I think they keep the internal setting at 64°F and when you get to the refrigerated section, it feels like 55°F. The cold doesn't bother me much but to some, it may not be a pleasant shopping experience. All in all, the Citrus Heights "Walmart Neighborhood Market" is average at-best. I've always found the checkout lanes to be fairly quick with a generous amount of self checkout lanes. Their public restroom is located at the rear of the store while the customer service area moves fairly quickly. With that said and done, I am giving this a 3-star rating.

I placed an order online for pickup. Within a few minutes, the store canceled my order due to "unusual account activity". There hasn't been any unusual account activity. I switched the order to the store that I normally pick up from and had no problems. This store was just being lazy and didn't want to process my large order. Somebody seriously needs to start doing their job.

apparently they deleted a review i left a while back lol, probably because it was honest. I went here once and overheard a customer and middle-aged/elderly female cashier talk and say horrible things about me, extremely passive aggressive. I was tempted to call over a manager and report the behavior but I figured it was best to let these people keep their jobs since they aren't paid much. I haven't returned here since, but seriously stop deleting reviews that aren't 5 stars. It's pathetic. If these people want to keep their store, they have to teach their employees to respect strangers and not say awful things because they find it funny! Seriously, she was at least in her 50s and talking like a high school meangirl. Shame on you walmart. If I go to one again it will not be this horrible store.
