We've been a long-term and faithful supporter of Costco. Had joined Sam's years ago, cuz it cost only $20. Didn't renew, since their selection of items didn't keep us from continuing forward. Came across another Sam's membership offer, again at $20. Why not, the Wife and I said... so here we go again for another year. Can Sam's club keep us intrigued with a wider selection of goods, past the first year? (We are a big Walmart customer, so we drive past Sam's, often. Why not???)

I'm an avid Sam's club member and am at Sam's at least once a week. I do a pick up order at least a couple times a month. I've never had an issue..until tonight. I always place my order in the morning when I get to to work so like 8am and always for a 5-6pm pickup. Thought it was weird when I got off at 5pm I hadn't received a text or email confirming my order is done. This order only had 9 items in it. I only work 5mins away from Sam's so when I got in the car I tried calling. Service desk transferred me to the grocery pick up department. Ringing for at least 5 mins, I know cause I left work and got to Sam's within that phone call of being on hold. I parked where you pick up groceries. I hang up call again and transferred again. On hold for 10 more mins with it just ringing. And still no text or email about my order is ready. I've had it. Go in and go to that department. Found one person in there and he's sorting through orders. I can tell he's flustered. I call him over and he's very apologetic but he doesn't know where my order is. Asks for the order # and looks it up. And he tells me they're still working on it. Ok, that's fine. But this is where it goes south. I ask if there's anyway to know how much longer my order will be and he doesn't know. So I kindly ask for a supervisor/manager. After a few mins of looking he finally finds one. She's an older lady with long hair. We tell her what the issue is and she's like 'well guess they're still working on it so wait'. No apologies nothing. I get it they're short staffed and I understand that. I was in the grocery business for over 10 years I get it. But first rule of customer service no matter what, you apologize for the inconvenience. You don't tell someone to just wait. And she walks away. Well as we were talking a young man came over with orders he just pulled and the other guy I was talking to was like ok it might be in this. The order the guy that came up without even knowing what my order # is says nope it's not here I'm still working on the 4pm orders. And the other guy was like here's the confirmation number can you look. So he does and I have one thing from my order in all the orders he had on his cart. I'm confused. Why would you have multiple pieces of orders in your cart. I then ask is my other items being pulled and he's like probably but they're pretty scattered, I would just cancel the order if I were you. So I cancel. And I ask how long for a refund and they said 3-7 business days. Omg. And this guy is pretty rude and I just didn't think it was right. I go up front to ask for a manager to talk to because the whole thing is pretty ridiculous. I waited 15 mins for them to tell me the store manager isn't in and it's this same lady that walked away from me. This whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth and I would stay away, far away from grocery pick up. This lady says she's one of the assistant store managers and she is rude. I mean Sam's club is cool if you don't ever need help or need to talk to someone. Do better Sam's club.

If you're looking to have curbside pick up, I would not recommend this establishment at all. I thought that ordering one item and having it ready for pick up would be a fast transaction. I was so wrong. After waiting for 38 seven minutes I walked in to find out if I could just pick up my one item and go ahead and leave. One of the two people that were doing check out at the door for people leaving the building, said no when I asked if I could just pick up the package and show my ID that it's me. That has got to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced at this establishment and it seems to be that it keeps getting worse and worse by the week. Even though I'm retired I was looking to have a job there and the manager said that they were completely staffed and had no more room for anybody, but apparently they have no staff that knows how to work. And my opinion might be even the manager. Maybe the manager needs to look for another job. Of course I'm lashing out a little bit because I can't stand being treated as a non-paying customer when in fact, I have membership. Maybe I need to switch to Costco.

It is extremely difficult to chat with someone! I am a plus member and pay for it and get charged for shipping! It is impossible to talk to someone, customer service sucks. It is basically walmart!

I for years have done my shopping after work and before I start shopping ordered pizzas so they are done when I'm done shopping. Lately when I have gone in to do this they are not making whole pizzas to go. Me and others have had to leave with no food ordered to pick up something elsewhere when we are done shopping5:30 PM and no pizzas for after work shoppers to take home is mind blowing and makes going back to Costco shopping a possibility

Cheapest gasoline in Citrus Heights Orangevale area. Easy access through the parking lot or via the side street. Ample areas at the pumps, easy to pay at the pump.

It's a club and it's SAM'S.I went to one in Minnesota and enjoyed it over the other club. I found a coupon for a discount but it had to be done online and I was actually at the store so I joined anyway at the regular member price.

Tire specialist at this shop helped me identify the tire manufacturer date. That was very helpful. I appreciate your help very much. Found out this tire was so old, it was illegal to have on the road due to safety concerns. Thanks again for your speedy helpful service.

I've been coming here for at least seven years and have always received excellent service. The service always fast, the workers are always friendly and I refuse to go anywhere else for tires. A++ hands down.

I'm not biased when it comes to a warehouse. I like Costco and Sam's equally. Sam's does have much more things that the other one doesn't have especially when it comes to throwing a party like dips, and other yummy thing like desserts. If you don't have membership are you even living to your potential..Get one and see for yourself

This Sam's Club location is very organized and clean. The entrance employee checking the membership card was very friendly. It's always good to run into a smile upon entering a business. They have lots of good deals and the quality of their store brand is just as good as name brand goods. We use the Sam's Club app which I so highly recommend. Scan and go as you shop and pay. Much faster checkout for us and we don't have to wait in lines. We went on a Saturday and sadly their taste testing stations were nearly all closed. Out of the entire store there was 3 opened. I felt a little uncomfortable at times grabbing a sample because the person passing them out just glares at you as if your looking for a free handout. Everytime we come we spend $300-$600 a trip, with two trips a month for just one household. Getting ONE sample shouldn't be an issue but than again, we can't force people to like their jobs. We continued on- enjoying our shopping trip, buying other goodies, stocking up on necessities. The food court was out of a lot items but a soda and polish dog is always unbeatable. The price is pretty much priceless and delicious. We like to get one as we walkout and eat it in the car while waiting behind multiple cars getting gas. (Line goes by very quick) Overall, we like Sam's Club. My family always ask me to compare Costco and Sam's Club- I say there are things Costco has and that Sam's Club doesn't and vice versa. So I have both membership and depending on where we shopped at last, we pay the other a visit. Although I must say- Costco takes the win for samples, if you go there on a weekend- it's on and cracking, poppin with samples at every station! Love it.
