Can't say what's on my mind because it's too many words for this. The employees are very unfriendly unless you try hard to be friendly first. It's a parent they don't like the people that come in that store and prejudge possibly. Normally I refuse to buy something that's not priced unfortunately I don't have a choice at this Dollar general very rarely are the items that I go into buy priced. i.e. the beer I buy there (3 dif brand) only priced 1x, don't want public tounge lashing for bothering employee so I don't bother (yes apparently I should've not been so needy, especially when I could've checked online! Guess what, that's not updated often enough to be accurate, too bad I had to drive to the store to find out. 2 people (1x each) have been friendly to me & it only happened because I pushed personal connection on them. Attitude big time! Just because I shop there it doesn't mean I'm a bad person,it shouldn't be assumed (by employee) that all customers are the same. And asking for prices or that they please price certain items in the future shouldn't be treated like I've made an annoying offense to them.

If your preferred method of payment is credit, don't even bother walking in. Either their system doesn't allow credit transactions or they don't train staff on how to process credit transactions. Came in for a $50+ purchase, left empty handed after an ignorant incompetent employee with a piss poor attitude couldn't complete my transaction on their end. Reported the terrible quality of the employee to management, but they're homies so. Do with that info what you will. Best of luck on your purchases. There's a Walmart and other stores within about a 5 mile radius. You're welcome.

First time stepped inside the store today. We live in South Sacramento but came all the way to this store since it was the closest-far one from us. The store was organized. I was able to find what I was looking for. The cashier was so nice & friendly. It would be so nice to have our own Dollar General in South Sacramento area. Thanks in Advance for building a Dollar General in South Sac ? Giving it a 5 stars ⭐️

Disrespectful employees who talk belittling to customers. No mater what age. Witnessed cashier yelling at elderly customers. From what I see in the reviews it appears to be a continuous thing.

My grandfather went in to get laundry soap and glasses. At the register he did not realize the glasses were $7 so he said oh that’s too much and the lady told him well go to the dollar tree if you don’t want to pay. She was rude and the comment was not necessary she should have just taken them off. He didn’t purchase anything and left.

gone here for years no problems, went in today with my mom and the black woman at the cash register must've been having a bad day. we walk up to the counter with no greeting and she starts quickly ringing up our items. when we were paying my mom (being older) had trouble with her card, which seemed to anger the woman, she tried to hurry my mom up and see what was happening then told her the register was froze; my mom didn't understand what she meant and asked to just pay cash. the woman angrily said "no! it's frozen! you froze it, you have to go to [other register]". we said okay even though my mom was confused and began walking to the other register, however the woman continued to talk rudely to my mom and kept yelling infront of the whole line at my mother that she supposedly broke her register. I hope she gets fired as i never want to take my mom here again.

If only I could give zero or minus stars. One of the cashier African American lady with ? accused my credit card for jamming her system and very rudely said I refuse to provide service to you basically told me to get out of store. This was the first time in my life a store worker disrespected me in such a way. I really don't know what her problems were, but she had no right to take it out on me.I can see other customers also being bullied by her in these reviews. It's strange that no body took any action against her yet.

Extremely rude to customers. There is an older African American lady with very short hair that I have witnessed being extremely rude and having a poor attitude towards others. I personally had her throw a quarter at me and then chase me out of the store I thought she was going to punch me. I went into complain the next day to management but I think she is the manager which is horrible for the company. She's definitely a liability.

The workers are extremely kind, much more kind than I would be if I was working in a oven. The store seems hotter than outside when it's 109 degrees. I'm pretty sure not having a working a/c is illegal. Wouldn't be surprised to see a lawsuit against stores like this one for forcing people to work in hot weather.
