clean, not smelly, good amount of clothing and houseware, not a lot of furniture, the prices are higher than other places (~25% more) but the staff were nice. There was a fitting room too!

Thank you Father Joe for your hard effort in helping people out, I’m very grateful for all you do. I have been in your store and it’s awesome and so are your prices especially because I know that all this is for a good cause, unfortunately there will be many customers that don’t see it the way I do. Your store is amazing and so are your prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost none of the clothes are organized by size, it’s beyond frustrating to try to look through every single article of clothing in an attempt to find something.

I enjoy coming to this thrift store, the overall selection is not amazing but I have found some awesome items here.3.5/5Some things I enjoy about this location:-At this location I have found quite a bit of Vans and Dickies pants, and some nice jackets.-They have a good amount of sales which are normally quite generous- I've seen this location sell niche items, like shoe stretchersSome of the problems I've faced at this location:-Personally, I found the selection of everything except Pants and Jackets to not be amazing-The pricing of shoes at this location is not great, especially when down the street at goodwill they will sell shoes of the same quality with a wider selection at 1/4 of the price

Was way overpriced and the customer service was beyond lacking. I usually never have a problem when I flash my military dependant I.D. or my DOD Cac card but it got rejected. It's just 10% but it is what it is. Usually people do not care enough to reject it. Usually it is okay for spouses or their dependents but I guess it's only for active duty members only and not their families.

Dude this place was way too pricy. As soon as we walked in a glass piece on display was $79.99!?! I still went in to give it a chance but NOPE. Just because things are still in the box or mad vintage don’t mean it has to be pricy.

I don't even give them want to give them this one star this store is absolutely horrible the customer service there is absolutely rude and disrespectful the moment that I walked in the door they had somebody behind me watching me I had money to buy my things I'm not a thief I never steal but they made me feel like I was a thief and then I got up to the counter and I asked him if they could save one little pair of shoes for me until tomorrow and the lady was absolutely rude and said no we're a thrift store we don't see things for people excuse me if you don't like your job then don't come to work and the things are way overpriced way overpriced well and as I sit here reading other people's reviews they say the same thing I'm saying this place is absolutely ridiculous I suggest not coming to the store

Girl, $8 for a Ross shirt you could get new. These prices are ridiculous.$25 for USED shoes.

Father Joe's Villages Thrift Store in Chula Vista is a delightful place to explore and discover unique treasures. The store is well-kept, clean, and organized, creating an inviting environment for shoppers. There is also ample parking. What sets this thrift store apart is the incredible discount system in place. With discounts of 25%, 50%, and even 75% off on items tagged with specific colors, it's a haven for budget shoppers. The thrill of hunting for discounted items adds an element of excitement to the experience. I've been able to find fantastic deals on clothing, household items, and more, allowing me to save money without compromising quality. While some negative reviews may exist, I can confidently say that my experiences at Father Joe's Villages Thrift Store have been nothing but pleasant. The store provides a delightful shopping experience, incredible savings through its color-tag discount system, and a diverse selection of quality items. Don't let outdated reviews discourage you; visit this thrift store and uncover the hidden treasures waiting to be found.

I would not recommend this place at all. Extremely overpriced & for what? If you want to compete with online sellers, you have to list online. You could try the Salvation Army across the street for better deals or even goodwill up the block. When goodwill is cheaper is you, it’s time to wrap it up

I am not been to this place in almost 20 years and I want you to know it is cold in there yes if you are one of those warm blooded people this would be the spot for you but for me I thought about grabbing a sweater off the rack just so I can go shopping I settled for some hand mittens and then proceeded to look at all the wonderful things they had my goodness they are a lucky store or they are just really good donations here I would suggest going here first if you're going to the places in Chula Vista because this place is a gold mine! Very friendly staff and knowledgeable I appreciate that every time.
