Absolutely THE WORST SERVICE! Contacted them after a DV situation took forever for someone to call me. Was assigned an advocate Kimberly Blackmon who was the absolute worst! When I talked to her supervisor I can see where she got it from she was RUDE nasty and absolutely no help!! Don't waste your time reporting DV just deal with it they they treat you like TRASH! WORST PLACE EVER DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME REPORTING CRIMES TO THE POLICE OR THEM THEY DO NOTHING!!!!

I just want to share how well I was treated at South Bay Community Services. I'm a 54 year old visually impaired single male. My only income is my SSDI. The County doesn't help the disabled with housing like before. It's a 12yr wait regardless if you're disabled or not. I was sent here for possible housing assistance. To be honest I didn't expect any help here. Especially, after reading some of the comments in here. To my surprise I was treated well. Better than well. From the receptionist to meeting and talking with the caseworker. They are going to help me and I left with a smile inside and out. I personally just want to say Thank you to those good hearted people who made my day today. ❤️??? GOD BLESS YOU!!?❤️?

Off bat, I have NO problemsWith masks. So, If you need to wear a mask, bring one because they don’t give a duck about your needs. I waited almost 6 months for an appointment, and not ONE time did a single staff member tell me I was required to wear a mask. I would have brought my own, but I wasn’t informed. How am I supposed to know if no one tells me??? There wasn’t even a mask available to me to use. They offered children’s masks. WTH? I didn’t even know this was a medical facility!

Been on the visitation waiting list since April it's now almost October. This is very unfair for us dads trying to see our kids. Then you wonder why most dads just give up.

this place is deliberately making people homeless they are deliberately overpaying the landlord and leaving the tenant with one month of future rent to be paid the person that runs this program does not care Chula Vista city council does not care the mayor does not care they have all been informed of what's going on if you have this problem my advice is to never donate money to this company sbsc in Chula Vista because they do not help anybody and if you are going through this and you will be homeless in a month report them to the treasury department they're mismanaging the money that you wrap gave us

They help who they want and everybody else gets left out. I witnessed it myself first hand as an employee, depending on what ethnic group you belong to.

Well they lied to me which wasn't a good start, also I had a friend quit working here because of conditions, I am sure they serve a community niche, just not very well.
