I have been coming here for 5 years just for the customer service, even after I moved away from the area. The last few refills had been filled incorrectly, but no matter. I wanted to be a loyal patron so I called before driving all the way there to pick up my prescription.I waited over 15 min on hold just to have the other person on the phone not introduce herself, cut me off after asking why I was calling, and then cut me off again to ask for my birthday. After asking why I was questioning the refill she cut me off again to say she needed to look into my profile. When I asked her why she was being soo extremely rude she abruptly put me on hold for an additional 5 minutes.I hung up and called back and the same person answered. I asked to speak with a manager and wanted to know her name. She said she was the pharmacist in charge but did not give her name! The pharmacist conducts this kind of patient customer service? Wow. What leadership she demonstrates to her staff. If people at the top behave this way I can only imagine the people underneath her.Transferred my prescription. Never coming here again.

Poor customer service and rude attitude from Norma on the pharmacy. Bad communication between stores. Went to this store for the chicken pox vaccine, Rene the manager from imperial beach location sent me here to get it and he told me to get there before 2 pm which I did and I when I got to the store Norma told that they start taking walk's ins from 2-3 which Rene never explain to me he just told me the be there BEFORE 2 pm. Norma told me to call him myself because she was busy with other customers. Same lady was being rude to another customers saying she was busy helping me. Anyways no options offer to solve the issue rude attitude at the end she try to help me and told me to wait for 30 min. Bad experience and waste of my time going to this store with inefficient employees like Norma.

This Rite Aid location is awful. My doctor approved my refill 5 days ago and they lied to me about it not being approved. I called my doctors office and they told me it had been approved. Even when the front desk of my doctors office offered to contact them to see what the issue was, I was told they wanted to ask me questions but it was ready. Upon arrival they told me again that it wasn't ready until I repeated that it was approved 5 days ago. Then they said "Oh it was approved today at 2:30!" When that was the time my doctors office called to figure out what the issue was. That was after waiting in the pick up line for 30min, then they directed me to the drop off line to talk to them which was another 30min wait where the pharmacist couldn't even find the approval slip that the pharmacist from pick up put right at his station and said it wasn't approved. It was the 3rd slip. He told me they would prioritize it and to wait in the pick up line again as she literally shooed me away. After waiting in that line for 20 more minutes it still wasn't ready and they didn't even have the correct dose. They are rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. If you care about your well-being don't come to this pharmacist. They probably won't have your important medications ready when they are supposed to, and you'll get attitude the entire time you're defending your case. If this review gains a response from this location it would be a waist of time because this isn't my first negative experience here and I won't be coming back. Just don't come here, it's like they hired a bunch of high schoolers. Better luck anywhere else

They are not up to date on Covid QR code vaccinations records. I'm disappointed that they keep giving me the run around. I have a trip planned to Germany and need them to upload my information into the data base so I can enter the country. Difficult thing to ask for. I have been waiting for 2 weeks needing a digital vaccine form for covid for traveling. They don't understand the digital world we live in.

One of the worst and poorly organized Covid vaccination sites. BE AWARE! Their process is unlike the majority of vaccination sites where you simply show up, Check in and then you are vaccinated. Rite aid??? Nope!!! There is no check in. You get there BEFORE your time , ( This is not efficient) because they start calling names on their appointment list and MANY people do not show up, so then they start calling the remainder of the names of people on the list. We were called before our time slot as a consequence. When I asked what happens if you were called and were not there exactly when called? I was told, you lose you appointment!!!!' What?!!! The entire process is an efficient one. I called the day before to be sure I knew what to expect the next day. I was told by the pharmacy to show up early, check-in and then you get vaccinated. My daughter had a exam at the same time as her appointment so I asked if it were better to come earlier or after her appointment time. The person( Tiffany or Steohanie) explained that if we came later it was ok and we would not be turned away. Apparently, this was not true according to the cashier clerk who rudely explained this to me. I initially was speaking with the check-in person when she interjected and began her lecture. YOU SHOULD HAVE SPOKEN TO SOMEONE IN CUSTOMERSERVICE AND NOT THE PHARMACY she said sarcastically as she rung another customer up. I cannot believe the complete poor and unprofessional attitude of this clerk.

This review is based solely on this Rite Aid location's participation as a COVID Vaccination site. We were able to register 3 of our family's 4 members since 3 of us met the criteria for the allowable tiers being vaccinated so far. Rite Aid's online registration was pretty simple, not the easiest to navigate when selecting dates once you get to that section, but nonetheless, we managed to figure it out. We registered online on a Tuesday, and we're selecting vaccination dates for Friday and Saturday. Not bad... Now to the day of the vaccination. It wasn't overly packed as appointments are spaced out every 6-7 minutes (I'm guessing, it could be every 10 mins.) There's a desk just inside their entrance where you check-in and show your drivers license & medical insurance card (if you have one). Then you wait to get in line for the 3-4 musical chairs just before you get to the small room where they give the vaccinations. Afterwards, they have another waiting area where they ask you to standby for 15 minutes just to make sure you don't have any allergic or medical reactions to the vaccine. Less than a day afterwards, you'll receive an e-mail and/or text message confirming your appointment for your 2nd vaccination. It'll most likely be the same day of week & time of appointment 21 days later. You're asked to bring your shot card with you so they can complete the 2nd part. Parking was plentiful, organization and vaccination procedures seemed to go pretty smoothly, face coverings & 6' foot distances were being adhered to, relevant information was provided prior to as well as after the vaccine was given. I did not feel at any more risk while inside Rite Aid than I would if I was shopping for groceries. Tip: they tell you to arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. I would arrive 7-9 minutes ahead, but no earlier than that. They called my name a few minutes early and call names according to appointment time, not the time you arrive and check in. You won't get seen any earlier if you plan to arrive earlier. It'll probably just make the wait area to be seen more crowded and congested than it needs to be.

This Rite Aid is nice. It has friendly people and lots of fun Christmas items. Can get most shopping done in one trip. The crew is helpful in finding items you can't.

Thank you Enrique and all of the staff of Rite Aid. This store is very clean, the associates are always friendly and helpful, and they are doing their best to keep the store well-stocked. The store's attention to social distancing and best practices during the Covid-19 pandemic is excellent, even keeping the front doors open for air circulation. It is one store I always feel safe entering.

The pharmacy in this store is slow and inept. I only use when I need a prescription faster than my typical mail order pharmacy can deliver. They are under staffed for the volume of orders. Today I stood in line for 20" to pick up a prescription The store manager chose to close both of the pharmacy registers so no one could be helped. The prescriptions were dropped off 5 days ago. When I first went to pick them up 4 days ago they hadn't been processed because they thought my insurance wouldn't cover them. They were wrong. Then one of the drops had to be ordered so today no registers open. This is what happens when big companies run small companies out of business. No service and no one cares.

I've been going to this pharmacy for a very long time now. Almost everyone there knows my face and rarely has to ask me what my name is. But tonight Bonnie made my nightmare at CVS Pharmacy near Sprouts a thing I will not have to deal with again. Last month Rite Aid informed me that my sons seizure medication was on back order til January 2nd and that all of their locations were out. That my best bet would to find another pharmacy and hopefully they would have some, but there is only one manufacturer for this generic version. I searched 3 other pharmacies with no luck. I get to CVS and show the pharmacist their the bottle of my son's prescription. It's the generic version of Keppra extended release 3 pills of 500mg taken once a day for 30 days. The pharmacist at CVS says, "I have only 1 bottle that has 60 pills and will not be able to fill the rest til January 2nd like everyone else, so you have the same problem and can't help you." This was December 17, and I told her I have 5 days worth left at home. How many days will 60 get me?" She replied, "20 days." I told her, "then couldn't you give me the 60 you have and that will get us well passed January 2nd and you can give me the rest then?" She thought about and said, "yeah if you want to do that?" So stupid, of course I want to do that. Fast forward to today when I pick up my sons refill at CVS. Go home and realize that it's only 60 pills. So I call CVS ask them if they will give me the other 30 to complete the prescription. They look it up and asked me where I filled the original prescription. Told them I filled it originally at Rite Aide. Then CVS tells me, "well Rite Aide only sent over 60 pills, so that what we filled." I said, "well he needs 90 for the 30 days, how do get that to happen?" CVS tells me, "oh well you'll have to call your sons doctor and have them send a prescription for 90 pills over here." I call Rite Aide and I tell Bonnie all this and she looks up my sons file and it shows that they sent over the prescription which states 90 pills for 30 days." I told Bonnie that I hate CVS and I really don't want have to deal with them ever again. Bonnie tells me not to worry and that she will call my sons doctor and have the prescription sent to them and she will put like a pre-order for his seizure medication for his next refill to help avoid this problem in the future. That's why I love getting my prescriptions filled here. They are so nice and they have always tried to help me.
