I'll drive 10 miles to shop at Ralphs even if there's a Vons right down the street

Do not buy gift cards from this location. The Macys and Amazon gift cards are compromised and this establishment will not do anything to protect consumers, they could place behind locked and key but they don't do anything.

I recently visited the grocery store on East Palomar in Chula Vista, San Diego, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly "hello" from the staff. The employees here are genuinely some of the most courteous and helpful people I've encountered in a grocery store. Whether you're looking for a specific item or need assistance with your groceries, they are always ready and willing to help, making the shopping experience both pleasant and efficient. The shelves are impeccably stocked, showcasing a wide variety of products that cater to all tastes and dietary needs. From fresh produce to organic options, and from everyday essentials to gourmet items, this store has it all. It's clear that the management takes great care in ensuring that the inventory is both diverse and abundant, minimizing the chances of not finding what you need. The organization of the store also deserves praise; everything is easy to find, thanks to well-labeled aisles and a logical layout. Cleanliness is another area where this grocery store truly shines. Every corner of the store is spotless, from the gleaming floors to the tidy shelves. The produce section, in particular, stands out with its fresh and neatly arranged fruits and vegetables, which not only look appealing but also ensure quality. The restrooms are also well-maintained, adding to the overall positive impression of the store. In summary, the grocery store on East Palomar in Chula Vista is a model of excellent customer service, well-stocked shelves, and exceptional cleanliness. It's clear that the staff takes pride in their work, and it reflects in every aspect of the store. Shopping here is a joy, and it's easy to see why it's a favorite among locals. If you haven't visited yet, I highly recommend you do so—you won't be disappointed.

I receive coupons in the mail from Ralph's each month on things that I regularly buy. Today, I took them with me and used most of them. They also had beff and pork ribs on sale, so I bought those, also. They have a good selection of organic cereals, but today they didn't have organic cornflakes. I bought the Kroger brand of corn flakes for only three dollars for the topping of my cheesy potato casserole that I'm going to make. Kellogs corn flakes were six dollars.

Very clean store but had a bad experience with the lady at self checkout. I went on 04/14/2024 @ almost 8pm and got in what I thought was the line for self checkout. There were two lines and two white men paid before us and as soon as my husband and I go to pay, the cashier comes up to us to rudely tell us there is actually one line and then continued to call the next person in line and asked us to go to the back of the line. I’m not bothered that we were sent to the back of the line, I was bothered at how she told us with smart attitude. There was no apology for the confusion and it was odd that two white males could cut the line and pay but as soon as my husband and I walk up to pay we get told something.she tried to make us feel stupid and honestly I felt discriminated. I hope you teach her better customer service because my husband and I will not be going here anymore. We loved this Ralph’s until this bad experience. What a shame.

Good and growing selection of organic foods. They now support phone NFC (i.e. Apple Pay, Google Pay) without the Ralph's app, which is great, although there are still coupon invectives for having the app installed.

This used to be one of the better grocery stores in South Bay, but not anymore. Every time I go in this place they are out of several items I am looking for. All too often I am walking out without purchasing anything. The downtown and Hillcrest stores are MUCH better than this one.

This Ralph's is a very nice store, with lots of space and a great selection of goods. It is a bit off the beaten path for us, and that is unfortunate, as we would shop there more regularly if it was closer.
