Hector in the store dealt with a lady with a really nasty attitude (karen at its finest) with professionalism and empathy, he never lost his calm. He did the best he can to help and assist everyone instore regardless of being short-staffed. Ppl need to understand that not everything resolves around them and they can’t just through fits like little kids.
Hector did a great job at assisting our needs and interacting with our kid with the products and services this store offers

I wanted to give a shout out to a couple of the workers at this Petco. Leo from the aquatic area was so helpful when my fish was sick. He helped revive my fish and I will forever be grateful for that. Celeste was also great at helping me choose products that I needed. love coming to this store because of the customer service. Thank you both so much!!!

I really like to go here to buy for my cats their customer service is the greatest .I think they have the biggest variety of cat food in any other place I've seen it's very clean and they way I can buy stuff is different for instance their cat litter u can buy out of a bin where u self serve if u like or have them do it for u they have a variety of great toys my cats live and a grooming station .even medicines anything animal related they will hand and then some also very affordable

Im usually here for the dog food bag deal.
This local Petco has been stepping up the quality and care of the saltwater fish department (my hobby). Recently, I've been impressed with the stocking and some of the equipment deals. I am definitely on the lookout for what they may have in stock every time I visit now.

Brought my dog in for a wash, anal gland expression, and de-shedding. All I got was a wash. They said she wouldn’t let her do the anal expression, and when I got home, I could pull out a handful of hair. I called and they said come back for the de-shedding, which still wasn’t up to par. Last time I’m forking over $100 for that.

I’ve had an Account with Petco since 2010. Today I dropped my dog off to get her groomed at the store. I have listed below. I did not receive a call after three hours so I called at that point it was 6 o’clock PM. I was told that they called me. This is not the case I did not receive a call. This is an ongoing problem since there are several random phone numbers linked to my account. I went into the store to pick my dog up and I spoke with the manager who was very nice, but could not resolve my problem .She told me to call customer service. I should not have to do any leg work for Petco‘s mistake. I explained this to the manager who still could not help me. I understand that Petco managers are trained to work inside a box and not critically think. Petco has lost my business permanently all because the are company that hides behind emails and can’t even trust their managers do their job. I shouldn’t have to call or email customer service to resolve a simple problem like this. I don’t want to talk to anybody in another country I don’t wanna have to do work to resolve a problem that is Petco‘s problem not mine I did not have these extra phone numbers on my account when I opened the account normally this wouldn’t have been an issue, but how could they get a hold of me to pick up my dog if they don’t have the right number!!! I’m so tired of these big corporations all the money goes to the top and they all hide behind emails customer service that lives in another country I will know longer use Petco products and live in San Diego. I won’t even go to Petco Park.
Please understand I had no issues with any of the employees. They were all very nice to me including the manager this was no reflection on them.
My issue was with Petco corporation. I’m sure this won’t fall in anybody’s ears because all Petco cares about is making as much money as they can. I’ve asked this problem to be resolved in person several times.

I don't mind paying more when it comes with value. As such, I won't focus that just about everything I bought here for my soon-to-arrive puppy ... almost $400 of "puppy stuff" .... was anywhere from 30% to 50% more than Amazon or the Navy Exchange. I spent at least at least 2 hours looking for food, snacks, sleeping, hygiene items .... most of my advice coming from my phone. Though there were definitely employees around, none made themselves available to ask if I had any questions. And I did look but it seems they've developed the skills to "look busy" or "minimize eye contact" when customers look up and around.
Even at check out, when the young cashier asked me "did you find everything ok?" .... and I said, not really, her next course of action was to keep going a conversation (I don't think related to me) with the neighboring cashier rather than try to figure out what I didn't find. I needed more info on dog food for puppies as well as the best type of kennel cage accessories ... good answers might have resulted in additional sales. Oh well. i tried to become a Petco customer.
I normally would have just kept what I bought but in the case of the doggy kennel, I paid $116 even though their own website showed it as reduced to $89 that very day .... so in price comparing elsewhere, I found it much cheaper. As I really don't think Petco provided me with any value at all, I decided to return most of what I bought and just go for the cheapest online or at the Exchange. If they're too busy to help me when I actually needed help, then I'm to cheap to pay them what they think they're worth.
I will point out I had opened up an account and was going through their website to see what future services I may employ but if doing little but charging a premium is the expectation, then no thanks.
