Super bad experience. Was looking into getting myself into a HRV sport in white. Dealer website showed they had one in stock but ultimately I wanted to test drive the vehicle in general. Immediately was approached by Randy, he was nice up until the test drive. I’ll be honest, I literally walked in browsing. I never made an appointment as I didn’t think I would be going to the dealership. The Randy tells us he doesn’t have one, but it’s on their website (RED FLAG). Checked the following day and now see 3. During the test drive he kept asking so many questions about my personal life (SECOND FLAG) In the beginning it was okay, but then it became obsessive his response to me answering him sounded very nonchalant. I’ve bought several cars in the past and I know this selling tactic where they try to create this profile in order to maximize profits. After the test drive, I was still okay to see some numbers. The guy took some information and then hits me with wanting to do a small credit check (FLAG #3). That is where I got angry.
Why was I going to do a credit check before seeing any numbers and the fact the car in the color I wanted wasn’t there. He said he’ll be able to get it and might have to outsource it from their sister location in El Centro and claim that they can get the car the same night if I wanted to make a deal. Like who is going to sign papers for a car they haven’t seen or test drove? I sure would want to drive the car I am potentially taking home. It may be the same car but not all cars are built the same. What if one had a weird noise and the other didn’t or whatever the case may be.
Literally walked out after being asked to a small credit check. He tried calling me asking where I had went but instantly blocked. Anyways save the time and go to another dealership or work with someone else. I’ve bought a few cars and have helped family purchase cars and can tell if someone is using 101 car sales tactics. Probably hasn’t been in the business that long.

My experience with this Honda has been horrific. First I scheduled a test drive with a used car and they sold the car before I could test drive it. But they did not tell me until the day I got there (which was three days after they sold it). Then I was potentially looking into another used car but at this point I had found my new car elsewhere and had emailed this dealership that I found a new car and to please stop messaging me. I had also texted Stop to the texting service. HOWEVER, they still continued to reach out and call about the second used car I was interested in even though it was already sold as well!! They do not read their messaging system and will continue to pester you using high pressure sales tactics (I’ve been a sales person before I’ve seen these strategies). I highly recommend avoiding this dealership, I’ve encountered not only four different service workers/cars sales people but even the manager seemed to care less, they’re all about the sales money, not your best interest.

I bought a car for my son and Daniela was very professional and courteous. She was responsive and worked with us to make sure we got a quality car. The whole process was relatively easy. But she was great! Highly recommend them.

Absolutely, terrible service. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to get greeted by somebody. And when I finally did, I was greeted by inept and incompetent salesman who did not have a clue.
Keep in mind that I didn't even go in for a sales inquiry or anything like that. I came in for service. And while I can understand that this might be some sort of tactic that they use, it wouldn't have been such a big deal if it didn't take so darn long for me to be greeted by anyone period.
However, I'm not giving a negative review because of that. The reason I'm giving a negative review. It's because for some reason, huh? Honda decided to increase their prices even more to something that just absolutely is not justifiable, and it makes no sense. Why does it cost a $120 for an oil change? All of a sudden I understand that inflation is at play Here. However, the rate at which the inflation is happening at this honda dealership, it is even greater than the national average.
I refuse to support these price. Gouging increases instead of paying a $120 for an oil change, I went somewhere else and only paid around eighty dollars, which is obviously a much better deal. What makes this a far better deal is that they were able to attend me within seconds? And the whole service didn't take more than twenty minutes, whereas, at the dealership, it takes a few hours sometimes.
I strongly encourage anyone to skip the dealership and go directly to Jiffy. Lube, or wherever else the that does oil changes because the dealerships have clearly lost touch with what makes sense economically.

Prior to coming in, confirmed vehicle was available and this was false. Both advertised vehicles were not available. Waste of time.

Came here on a Monday with my husband to check out a pre-owned CRV they had listed on their website. I was told it was no longer available (which is OK!) but the sales person was entirely unhelpful and not knowledgeable in anything I was asking. He seemed very unsure of himself. The next day I went to El Cajon Honda and received much better service.

DO NOT COME HERE TO BUY A CAR!! Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE!!!THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS!!!!! Their deceptive tactics and lack of transparency left me feeling cheated and TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. It is clear that their focus is on commission rather than providing fair and transparent service. I understand now that their objective is to MAKE THE SALE AT ANY COST, even if it meant MISLEADING ME and DISREGARDING MY CONCERNS.
They are SHADY and will try to distract you from what the final price of a car will actually be just to get you to sign the contract.
We told the sales managers multiple times our final out the door price, which THEY agreed to. We stated multiple times and reiterated our final out the door price meant it included the necessary taxes, registration fees, etc. When we reviewed the contract the total ended up being $10k above what was agreed upon, which we already told them initially we were not comfortable paying.
They will use tactics to “pretend you are getting a deal” by “crossing off fees to help you out because they appreciate you.” DO NOT FALL FOR IT because the “discounts” will just be added back on in the end. I don’t know how they could move forward with the sale in good conscience fully knowing our budget limit & for them to just add on $10k in the end….
They will do what they can to trick customers & get them to pay more. I don’t understand how these people can sleep at night after knowingly taking advantage of their customer & screwing people over.
I regret having to leave such a negative review, but I believe it is important to warn others who may consider doing business here.

Have a 2023 Honda pilot seen by this service team for a rattling noise my vehicle is at 11k. It is believed that there is air entering the frame causing the rattling anytime I’m on the highway. Was told my vehicle would be ready after pictures in 2-3 days. That Honda would have to make the decision about fixing it and most likely be sent to an Autoshop. That later changed to 2 weeks because the service team didn’t want to take apart and take pictures and then take it apart another time. This dealership doesn’t offer a vehicle for body issues apparently although this is a manufacturer issue. When I asked to schedule in advance with the same team based off their work load there’s no guarantees my car will be worked on for a couple of days. So basically I’m expected to pay not only a new car note but for a rental as well. Honda needs to do better, Volkswagen always gave courtesy vehicles.

I was in need of a new car, and I didn’t want to have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get one. I wanted someone I could trust and who would put me at ease. If you’re looking for a salesman like that, you need to go with Eddie Phakham. He really made me feel like I was just hanging out with a friend while I looked at cars. He answered every single one of my questions, and he made sure that I got everything I wanted in a car. Thank you so much, Eddie!
