Good: Inside the hotel is great. Very clean. Nice decor. Price was reasonable. The showerhead is wonderful. Nice shower. People are friendly at the front desk. 7/11 next door for your coffee which is convenient. El pollo loco next door for food as well as Carl's Junior.Bad: Location itself is not family friendly due to lack of safety outside of the hotel grounds. Motorcycles and cars racing constantly on the street. You can easily hear it if your room faces the street. Sirens heard throughout the night. Phone in room was busted. Thermostat battery needed replaced. Shower water was leaking. Not the safest of neighborhoods. Noticed security bars on windows on many business locations like Arco. Drunks occasionally seen walking on the street. TV uses satellite. Was cloudy that day. TV kept freezing up ended up having to use my laptop to watch TV as the TV in the room was worthless. A review was required by the hotel in exchange for a breakfast meal which starts at 6:30am on the second floor which I think is late for early risers that need to get going with their day. The fact that a review is required vs most hotels that give complimentary breakfast can be looked upon as pressuring their overnight tenants to post a good review for the meal.Outside had to figure out how to get on the parking lot as it was gated at the entrance. Tried to switch rooms when I booked with Priceline. Priceline says I need to call the hotel. Hotel says I need to call Priceline. Take your time figure out what best suits your needs. Most likely you won’t be able to change it on busy holidays.I would not stay here again but gave it a three stars as some people may like this place but I think i would rather pay a little more for a better location.

Rooms are clean and bathrooms are spacious, they have good staffs and they also serve decent breakfast. The only thing I did not like is we can hear the loud noise from cars and sirens all night.

I did not expect much from this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised on how comfortable and spacious the rooms are. Great location with plenary of food and shopping locations. Definitely staying here again.

Terrible Experience - Avoid This HotelI had an absolutely awful experience at this hotel. Firstly, the check-in and check-out staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They even talked amongst themselves in Spanish about me while I was checking in, which made me feel very uncomfortable.I received a lot of grief about my credit card still having my maiden name, despite providing my ID with my married name. The staff's sarcastic attitude only added to the frustration.The rooms are disappointingly small, with paper-thin walls that allow you to hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms. Even though my room wasn't facing the main street, the traffic noise was still very audible.To top it off, the fragrance in the rooms was overpowering, and the TV was stuck on one channel, limiting entertainment options. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The experience was extremely unpleasant, and there are much better options available.Safety: The hotel is 20 minutes from down downtown San Diego and is in a less desirable area.

Stayed here 1 night to go to CBX and I’m glad it wasn’t for longer. The room seemed mostly clean and had a big bathroom, but there was a musty smell coming from the carpet that it was attempted to mask by a heavy amount of diffuser or room fresher scent, but unfortunately the bad smell was still very much present.The staff were really nice and friendly. The breakfast was a positive surprise! Definitely get the breakfast. The area is a little sketchy, but short walking distance to a small outdoor mall with restaurants. Also a lot of fast food chains around.

Worst experience ever... We came to the hotel around 12 am . The front desk person was no where to be seen. We waited for more than an hour. We tried calling the hotel , but in vain. We called and made sure we are okay to check in at 12 am...
