The representatives onsite are really GOOD. Both reps who helped me were courteous and had a good sense of humor. They were also fast and professional. The rate was very good and the car was immaculate.

The easiest most friendly and a wonderful gas saving vehicle, newer clean pretty vehicle that worked perfectly for my Texas trip, so appreciated with on board gps, and radar operated cruise control, visual Back up control grid, blue tooth.Price was great total with tax was $550 for 11 days, are used to my own insurance, so it save me lots of money

No problems renting cars from here. I’ve rented several times from this location and I had no problems, cars are always clean and functional. Deposits gets back in 2-3 days after return, one time my deposit got back same day.

Don't book here because you won't even get in. We made a reservation to pickup at 12:00pm, get here literally on the nose...and they're gone? Nobody's here. Lights off. Gates locked. It's closed. Can't even get in. Apparently they "close" at 12:00pm?? We weren't late at all, got here at 12:00pm and everything's clearly been shut down inside for a while. The hours sign on the gate where it says where they close is also like "written in." Attached a pic of that. Soo short story: Made a reservation for 12:00pm pickupThey're closed at 12:00pmSo yeah, maybe don't allow for a pickup time which is also a closing time....bad Budget!!

I am Extremely Happy with the service I have received from Budget Car Rental. It started with My pickup at LAX. The Man who helped Me was very courteous, friendly and helpful. At the Chula Vista location, it was more of the same. Friendly, courteous and helpful. I wanted to extend My rental for another 10 days. I thought it would be a long, uncomfortable process - I was done in less than 5 minutes. No hassle, no worries, only smiles, positive vibes and an incredible deal! I’m very happy with My Budget Car Rental experience! ?

DO NOT BOOK A CAR RENTAL HERE!!!! I booked my car rental for Budget/Avis through Costco for an out of town tournament for my son. I usually go with Enterprise or Hertz but figured I'd try this place out since it wasn't too far from home. What a HUGE mistake. I was scheduled to pick up the rental at 12:30 PM on a Friday. I get a call at 3:00 PM the Thursday before to tell me that they don't have the car I reserved. Upsetting but I need a car for my son's tournament so figured I'd pay for an upgrade or or just downgrade. When I ask the guy on the phone he tells me there are NO CARS AT ALL! That's like Crumbl not having cookies or a library not having books! When I ask what's the point of a reservation the person on the phone tells me that's why they're giving me a courtesy 24 hour notice. Umm wait, you didn't know there were no cars on the lot the morning before and paying attention to details is obviously not a strong point because calling at 3:00 for a 12:30 reservation is less than 24 hours. I guess I should've just stuck with Enterprise and Hertz, the couple extra dollars saved is not worth the horrible service.

Be careful when renting a car here. Take pictures of the car, before you drive it off the lot, and when you return it. Also, take pictures of the fuel gage before you leave the lot, and when you return it. I rented a car back in March 10, 2022. The tank was not full. It was in between 3/4 and full. The Mexican guy was very friendly and pointed out that the tank was not full and even wrote it on my paperwork. When i got home, I noticed that the white car had visible scuffs on it. I drove back in the morning, as soon as they opened, to point them out to the female employee, with obviously dyed hair, that was working that morning. She told me not to worry about it because, in her own words, "all of our cars have scratches." When I returned the car, I filled up at the gas station that's about 2 blocks aways on Broadway and L. Just to make sure that I didn't waste any gas because at that time, it was about $6 dollars a gallon. It wasn't full all the way, but it had more gas than when i picked it up. So I dropped it off, and I asked the same employee, the Mexican woman with obviously dyed hair, if she wanted to come out and inspect it. She told me not to worry about it and that they'd be crediting my card the holding deposit within 24-48 hours. So I went home thinking nothing about it. Two days later I see a $35 dollar charge on my credit card. I called the office and no one answered. It rang about 5 times and then it was forwarded to their main office. After calling about 5 times, I finally decided to drive up there, with my paperwork. The same guy that rented the car to me was surprised. The woman had charged me $35 dollars because she claimed the tank wasn't full. Even though he had marked it on the paperwork. Unfortunately, he said he couldn't help me. I would have to return in 2 days, when she came back from her days off, or call Customer Service number. I called the number and after answering their stupid questions, over and over, I was able to get a refund. Like seriously, she wanted me to provide her with a receipt, proving that I bought the gas! The whole thing was ridiculous! I thought the whole issue was resolved. But i was wrong! Fast forward to 11/1/2022. I received a letter in the mail from Budget Rental. I thought it was a coupon or something. Instead it was an invoice from Budget, telling me that I had caused glass damage to the vehicle that I rented back in March 10, 2022 and that they would be deducting the amount from my credit card that they had on file. I immediately called the number that was provided, 1-800-984-9123. I spoke to a man. I told him the condition of the car when I received it and also the $35 dollar gas fee that the woman tried to rip me off. Not only that but if this so-called damage was caused by me, which wasn't. Why the hell would you wait 8 months to notify me? And who the hell rented the same care during the last 8 months? After putting me on hold for a few minutes, he came back on the phone and told me that I would not be charged anything. He also preceeded to send me a confirmation email which stated the same thing. Although he corrected this issue, I will never be renting again from Budget Rental. I'm sure I'm not the only customer that they have done this to. It's back to Enterprise for me!

Car drove great, jeep compass, drove 2,625 miles over 6 days, my issues were with the vehicles comfort. Not happy with customer service, she was hard to understand and she didn't understand what I was trying to say either.
