“I've had two windshields replaced by Safelite in Florida with no problems. I get to CA and within a week I manage to obtain a hole the size of a tennis ball from road debris and needing yet another replacement. As always, I went through my insurance who contracts with Safelite and started looking at locations and reviews. Boy, was I nervous. The amount of bad experiences, shoddy workmanship, sensors not working, inability to get through on a phone, canceled appointments - all three locations near me had the same horror stories, to the point I was considering going 3rd party. My windshield is nothing but a mess of sensors; headsup display, collision control, driver assistance, rain sensors; any of which could not be calibrated correctly.
After calling around and hearing how much said windshield would cost me out of pocket with empty prayers that insurance would reimburse, I sucked it up, crossed my fingers and made an appointment for the next day with this location.
Long story short, I couldn't be happier. When I arrived, I was greeted by several employees. They verified my windshield was in stock and quoted me 2-3 hours for the replacement and calibration. My car was taken in immediately, and an hour and a half later, my new windshield was installed. All of my sensors are operating beautifully, the heads up display is crisp and I'm absolutely thrilled. Great job all around.”
