I had a Fuel Vapor Leak Detection Pump and I brought the necessary part and they fixed it within an hour after I called to see if they had availability.

Banners Auto Repair has worked with my family for about 12+ years. That should speak volumes! They pay attention to detail, the staff are easy to work with, and the owner goes above and beyond. We appreciate the opportunity to working closely with them!

I would take my chances with a mechanic performing work elsewhere. Spent over $300 on diagnosing the Mass Air Flow system as a whole and it still had issues. (Of course I bought the parts). They didn't do anything but open, look and re-tighten a bolt or hose and connect the code scanner. And, I ended up losing bolts and screws because of their incompetence and negligence to inspect either the screws and bolts were secured and tightened and that they weren't missing. Pretty standard. The customer shouldn't have to be worried about these petty and pretty basic things. Loss of lots of time and money. Oh, and they wouldn't answer my calls after their work performed when they warrant some kind of guarantee to say the least.

The AC on my Honda Accord went out, I normally try to go to Tj since the pricing is so much lower and asked a couple friends for recommendations. A friend (who has a business in Tj) recommended this business. Their family has been coming to them for years and its basically Tj pricing without the hassle and time of crossing. They took my car in right away to diagnose what was causing the problem. After diagnosing the issues they took the time to tell me exactly what was going on (in case I took to someone else and they tried to rip me off). I mentioned Honda had a lot of issues with their AC, we both agreed I would take the car to Honda to see about any recalls or if I could get fixed for free. They did not try to hassle me into getting it fixed right away with them. I was amazed and very happy. I called into Honda and right away they said it would basically be $280 for them to look at it- I explained what their mechanics had already found and explained what they needed to do to fix it but the guy at Honda did not seem to care at all and tried to make an appointment for $280 so they could test out what this company did for free. I laughed and hung up. I called this company back and they fit me in and did an amazing job for a great price. And there is a warranty as well. I will definitely be back and recommend to others.

I'll try to make this short as I can. I'm not here to give negative feedback but to only give my experience and encounter. I've utilized Banner's twice in 2017. First encounter, I had a total rebuilt engine (long block) completed at another shop up north. I had Banner's put all the accessories back on including new water pump, oil pump, timing belt gaskets, etc...... which they did a good job. He charged me a good price which I later observed frustration from "Henry" the owner what appeared to have charged me too little for the job. Second Encounter, I had a low mileage used engine swap out with original engine miles at (400k miles) that sustained a busted head gasket. This is the easiest, fastest and economical way to get your car back on the road! Banner's installed about $700 worth of OEM parts onto the used low mile engine that I purchased (which many shops don't do due to liability issues); I appreciated that I was able to save some money. The part that the 2 stars come into play is at the end of my repairs. The day I asked to pick up my "old high mileage" motor there were parts missing. All of the parts were still in good condition and only the head gasket busted. I had worth thousands of dollars in my old motor e.g. cylinder heads, alternator, starter, idle control valve, air intake, etc............ I wasn't going to leave my motor behind. By California State Law shops are required to give back your old parts upon your request which I requested. The owner appeared to have the face expression "Oh s***** It took 2 months to get parts back. His wife who is very nice picks up the phone and takes messages does not speak fluent English. It was a little hard to explain to her what I was missing. His son is the go to guy to explain everything and anything. Every time I called and asked for the owner, he was not there or I just missed him. Typical BS if you ask me. To this day, I am still missing my lower and upper intake plenums. I'm pretty sure I got everything else back which were given back in hundred of pieces. I was also charged a few hundred dollars more the second time which was a lot less work in difference from the first encounter job. I think "Henry" the owner remembered how low he charged me the first time. At the end, the engine was re-installed correctly and engine still runs. For this, and only this, I give 2 stars. *Note: One month ago, took my car for an oil change and brake fluid flush, according to the Toyota Dealership technician, both my valve covers were leaking, motor mounts and oil pan bolts were LOOSE! What the hell! My engine was NOT torqued correctly!! I took a road trip to San Francisco just after taking my car out of Banner's with a loose NOT PROPERLY TORQUED engine install! Thank God nothing happened, my engine didn't fall out and I didn't break down with the family. I have not had no work done on my car by anyone else until taking it to the Dealers one month ago. For easy routine maintenance, oil changes, brake jobs they can do. Major engine jobs, I would recommend another place. This is just my encounter. Use this business at your own risk.

I normally go elsewhere for oil changes, because of price, but the wait is often long, so I decided to look elsewhere. I saw all the five star reviews for this place and decided to check it out. The price was good and there was no wait. They even checked out and let me know the codes for some of my notification lights, to confirm what they were for. I'll definitely be coming back here for future oil changes and possibly other work, if they offer it.
