The vehicle type that I requested was not available, then I was told they would provide an upgrade, then the two employees whispered about the vehicle they were giving to me as if they wanted to get that vehicle off their fleet "as I was dropping off at a different location". Moreover, it didn't feel like an upgrade, walking into a dirty interior with items from the previous driver and his trash. Also the car on the outside was dirty as well. I was just dissapointed about the whole experience. Update... A few weeks pass by, someone reaches out and asks me for more information and apologize and that was it.

Jose at ChulaVista office on 1008 Industrial Ave did not complete walk through car to check gas level, charged full tank when it was handed to me with 3/4. Filled tank to 3/4 before drop-off but paperwork showed it was full when I received it

Great rental and even better price. Jessica has amazing customer service. She's very nice and makes you feel like family and not just a customer. I recommend booking here rather than the airport. Better price, better cars, and amazing service.

I came to avis several times and was given the run around and they told me the price was 260 and when i arrived it came out to 368 a week. Stay away from this place, there is a place down the street called "rent a car for uber chula vista" and I had a way better service. Good luck!

This is the joint Coronado location Avis. They'll tell you anything and withhold information to get the sale. And overcharge you later. Horrible service.

Terrible service, the front desk lady didn't give us the office phone for any questions while we had the car, when we tried to call cause we were 1 hr late for the return they send you to the Avis automatic phone and they don't solve a thing. When we got there they ended up charging us the entire day just because of 1 hr delay. Terrible experience. We rent a lot of cars with other companies and that has never happened.

The easiest most friendly and a wonderful gas saving vehicle, newer clean pretty vehicle that worked perfectly for my Texas trip, so appreciated with on board gps, and radar operated cruise control, visual Back up control grid, blue tooth.Price was great total with tax was $550 for 11 days, are used to my own insurance, so it save me lots of money

Wow!! I was going to rent at this location but it has a few bad reviews that really concerned me. This place is closed to my house but I am going to look for another place.

Don't book here because you won't even get in. We made a reservation to pickup at 12:00pm, get here literally on the nose...and they're gone? Nobody's here. Lights off. Gates locked. It's closed. Can't even get in. Apparently they "close" at 12:00pm?? We weren't late at all, got here at 12:00pm and everything's clearly been shut down inside for a while. The hours sign on the gate where it says where they close is also like "written in." Attached a pic of that. Soo short story: Made a reservation for 12:00pm pickupThey're closed at 12:00pmSo yeah, maybe don't allow for a pickup time which is also a closing time....bad Budget!!

DO NOT BOOK A CAR RENTAL HERE!!!! I booked my car rental for Budget/Avis through Costco for an out of town tournament for my son. I usually go with Enterprise or Hertz but figured I'd try this place out since it wasn't too far from home. What a HUGE mistake. I was scheduled to pick up the rental at 12:30 PM on a Friday. I get a call at 3:00 PM the Thursday before to tell me that they don't have the car I reserved. Upsetting but I need a car for my son's tournament so figured I'd pay for an upgrade or or just downgrade. When I ask the guy on the phone he tells me there are NO CARS AT ALL! That's like Crumbl not having cookies or a library not having books! When I ask what's the point of a reservation the person on the phone tells me that's why they're giving me a courtesy 24 hour notice. Umm wait, you didn't know there were no cars on the lot the morning before and paying attention to details is obviously not a strong point because calling at 3:00 for a 12:30 reservation is less than 24 hours. I guess I should've just stuck with Enterprise and Hertz, the couple extra dollars saved is not worth the horrible service.
