“Well, it was my first time going there and I was impressed how fast the service was. Everyone was super friendly as well. I had to replace a tire and they told me for a new one would be $100 and a used would be $45, or I swear he said $45 and also confirmed it was $45. I ended up paying $60 which still seems a fair price for a used tire. The only thing I wished I knew before going there was that they take only cash. After going to the ATM, another guy on the team told me they take Venmo, Zelle and Apple Pay but the sign said Cash Only? I will clarify for next time. Over all I was happy with the service and probably will return in the future because they are affordable over Discount Tires.”

“Just recently had a VW passat engine fixed, you will not find a more honest and reasonably priced mechanic in Chula Vista. Jr takes his time to explain the diagnosis procedure and lets you know the cost of repairs before moving forward. I have no problems refereeing friends and family to his shop which all have great things to say about his service and commitment to customer needs. Mechanics and lawyers get a bad wrap for being dishonest but when you find a good honest one stick with them for good results.”

“I read some of the reviews and headed right to B & J Smog Certification station. Brian greeted me with a smile, and it only took a few minutes for my new used '03 Chrysler Town & Country to pass the smog check. The price was lower than than I've paid elsewhere in Chula Vista in the past. They also offer DMV services in the same building. Luis took care of the paperwork, transferring the title into my name and I got new plates, registration stickers and was told I should (need to) return the "Disabled Plates" to the seller (will do). “Short version is they do great quality, clean and detailed work with fair prices, a rare combination in this day and age! I highly recommend Checkered Automotive Solutions for any work and plan to return for a bumper installation.I purchased a full suspension package for my truck and didn’t have the time or location to do it myself. Accutune Offroad gave me several recommended shops but Checkered was able to work with my limited schedule to install the suspension and align my truck the same day. Additionally he was able to pickup my suspension parts from AO and also retorque everything the day after installing it.I will absolutely be returning to Checkered Automotive Solutions for any future work that I don’t have the time to do myself, and know it was done well!”

“Had a problem with my thermostat and took to Break Works on Main St around 1pm. They had the work done and my car was ready before 4pm. Service was awesome and the cost to fix was no where near as much as I thought it could be. Honestly I couldn't have been happier! Very good customer care. Listens to the customer's needs and is very knowledgeable . Offers to help wherever he can. Definitely makes the customer feel at ease and it will be a job well done . A+++Ismael :extremely Knowledgeable , a wealth of information when it comes to transmission internals and building a transmission. He is a Craftsman at what he does and is able to put it in terms for the customer to understand as well as options. A+++Luz very helpful did not deal with her originally but she also kept good service chain going. She made sure to pass my messages on to Memo and Ismael. Definitely shows she cares about the customers. I had a minor issue with what appeared to be the transmission when it was actually a signal problem with a set of fuse relays that was carefully explained to me by Ismael. He also fixed the problem before I got to your shop. My transmission is working excellent now. Feels like a new transmission great rebuild.
