There are quite a few Joe's auto repairs. This is for Jo's Auto and truck repair in chowchilla. I've never had any problems with Jo. He is way too friendly to be considered rude. He's always been professional, quick, helpful, and works with you. I don't have much money and I know I can trust him, not to over charge me or do anything shady. My parents and myself have taken our cars to Jo for years. I moved out of Chowchilla, but have had my car towed to him from two towns over. If you are looking for a shop, Jo's Auto and truck repair in chowchilla, ca is your shop. Don't listen to the negative comments. I've worked in customer service.You can be perfect and still will have people hate you. Look at Jesus Christ. He lived a perfect life, did miracles and they still hated Him. They crucified Him on the cross. He died for our sins.

Very rude people. Was put on hold for several minutes and then finally when I was able to speak with the guy, I was rushed when I tried to inquire about getting my car serviced. Not worth the time.

Shady is the best I can say about this guy. He had us sign an estimate for the diagnosis which was $144 and all that I wanted to pay for as I would do the repair myself, but this slick Rick decided to order a part and do a repair without our authorization and at the end of the day charged us over $400 I should have told them to take out the part (10min of work) his guy put in and put the old one back. I do believe that there are some laws against this kind of practice but again this guy is as shady as they come and doesn't bother to do any of the work himself just hands it off to one of his employees who he talks to in a very condescending fashion but he does it in Spanish thinking that you can't understand what he's saying. By the way the repair he did fixed nothing. Thanks for nothing Jo

Cannot thank Jo enough.My Wife and I were travelling with our baby from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Our front driver side wheel was shimmying and we had oversteer on the freeway. We pulled over in Chowchilla and I kicked the tire, to see the whole wheel loose...We pulled into Jo's at about 45min before close. Jo cleared his rack given the situation we were in and found the issue within 5 minutes. Our home mechanic that performed an alignment just two days earlier missed a loose bolt/cracked bushing that left the whole suspension wonky. He also found a crack in the center support bearing. These were all caused by a transmission mechanic that recently rebuilt our tranny and failed to put the control arm assy back together properly...Jo replaced the bushing and fixed the issue on the spot, getting us back on the road.Jo was considerate, professional and very fair. If I lived nearby he would be my go-to mechanic.

Worst place ever, took my car in to get a ticking noise fixed which he replaced the cams. After that it all went down hill, broken pieces of the belt, belt is frayed, broken connectors to the coil packs, ABS system keeps blowing a fuse, multiple misfires, this guy said he was with ford for 40+ years, im not sure how. Never will I recommend him or goto him to fix anything, avoid it and go to Fresno or Merced.

I had my ram diesel repaired here and had nothing but the best experience fast honest service great honest prices. He saved me thousands rather than going the dealer. I appreciate him and the business he serves to our small town. My grand father had the same style of business for over 25 years in chowchilla sometimes its not the service you provide its the people that are un happy no matter what.... Jo's is a great choice

Was driving back to Palm Springs on the 99 when the serpentine belt on my car blew at 70 miles per hour. Had to pull off the road and limp to Joe’s. After explaining my situation he put me to the front of the line even though he was very busy. He cut his lunch and worked overtime to help me avoid having to pay a night in a local hotel. I can’t thank him enough for his patience and generosity. I can only give 5 stars but he deserves 10!

I took my van in for diagnostics for my transmission and they found a loose bolt which they tightened and cleaned some connections and it has been running great ever since then! The customer service was excellent and they really seem to want to help fix the problems!

Nobody enjoys needing car repairs, but Joe is fair and honest... His main concern was ensuring my vehicle was safe to drive. Plus he worked with me, i couldn't have done it otherwise... Thanks Joe, I'll be back!
