My father served with Patton. He died in 1979. I would have loved to walk thru the museum, or the outdoor display. But everything closes at 4:30pm. As a truck driver, that will never happen. Some of the most patriotic people are semi truck drivers (most of them served in the military), and would love a chance to see the museum. It's a shame...I was hoping to maybe get a small connection to my father...

Worth stopping! I had no idea about the local training that went on here by Patton to prep for WW2.

This is a very good museum about military history with many displays. Lots of military vehicles from various era's. Lots of info on Patton and the base that was at this location and stretching miles...miles north and east. It is well worth the price of admission. So much to see and learn.I would stop again if in the area. I would recommend this for all ages.I remember learning about Patton and Rommel in school. Some history I bet you never knew.

I bet if this museum was located in a more populated area, this would get a lot more visitors as it is quite impressive with all the military hardware and historical artifacts pertaining to war in the 20th century. (Full disclosure: this comment is coming from someone who is a citizen of a country that is quite non-militaristic and does not have as much of a history of military conflict as the US.) That said, the fact that it is in such a remote location adds to it's allure. I wish I had more time than I had to fully appreciate this museum... it really is quite fantastic.

This place is great. The history is fascinating & the tanks are a-freaking-mazing. The memorial wall is beautiful. Perfect for pictures every is the museum isn't open. It is perfectly located....a minutes walk from the cafe' & gas station. Dry camping is available also. Not thru the museum,I would imagine you could ask about it at the cafe'l.

Very nice place, super nice staff. My family visited the museum last spring break. My 8-year old son lost his penny token from the museum when way back home. He was so sad. There's no way I can go back. I called the museum and they shipped the exact same one to my house, NY. I could show my son a magic. That was a miracle!Really really appreciated !!!
