I live in this Neighborhood for more than 10 years and it never happened to be a bit like this, the staff of the Butcher shop and the Pastry were very rude and disrespectful, I loved the changes to the store but I consider what the staff needs, layering for the customer service.

They now have a sushi section after the construction. I tried one of the packs today (California roll/dragon roll combo). You know what, for a supermarket sushi, it’s pretty damn good . The rice was soft and everything was seasoned right. The ginger looked and tasted fresh. Will definitely be trying again.

This is my local Stater Bros. I shop here a lot. Everyone is nice and helpful, except for a lady in the meat department.
I usually go in and ask whomever is behind the counter to give me the biggest thickest bone in ribeyes they see. I am serious about my steaks! And they all understand the assignment except for one lady that apparently can't be bothered to do her job and provide good customer service.
Each time she tells me "they're all the same". Tonight I got her again, asked for what I always ask, looked at my daughter and said "she better not say that they're all the same"... and sure enough, that's what she said with an added "they cut them the same"... to which I replied "they are not all the same". I didn't hear it but my daughter said she laughed while saying "yes they are" under her breath.
I proceeded to pick out 3 steaks. Then she asked me if I had asked for 2 or 3. ? Then she packed up 3. Another guy came behind her asking if this was hers... a steak that she had left on the side, which was one of the ones that had picked out. I decided to leave well enough alone and just walk with whatever 3rd one she had picked.
Well low and behold, she picked a steak that IS NOT THE SAME!! Annoyed is an understatement. Adding pictures for reference.
I will be asking for somebody else if I ever get her at the counter again. Someone that actually cares about happy paying customers.

We just left this stater bros and this is the second time they made us bag our own things. My husband asked if this is normal as everyone else had a bagger and the bagger that was there before left as soon as we came up and stood off to the side with the other baggers. She over charged us 6 bags when my husband only used 2. Came back in to get my money back. It's only 40 cents but noticed when I came in our line had a bagger as did everyone else's. We asked our cashier if this is normal and she said yes its normal for everyone to bag there own things. Our cashier was Emily. Also to note there was a spill on the baby isle. I almost slipped and fell. My husband went to go notify the front. No one seemed to care or bat an eye.

This was on of the best stores to shop here in Chino. It is unfortunate that corporate greed is killing the small town familiar atmosphere with a complete remodel. Along with the remodel has come extreme price increases across the board in all departments . They have lost my business.

Been getting charged for bags even if I take my own. Its an annoying having to check the receipt and holding up the line for a few cents. But its the principal. Different cashiers. Even if you have already reminded them. They will huff and puff like its my mistake every time.
